    Hello everyone! I first have to apologize because this review is soooo long overdue. I first met…read moreFrank from Hamptons air this past February while in the midst of a kitchen renovation. He was called in by my contractor because we needed to move some Freon lines and some duct work as well. (Note, I will note that spring I want at the time looking to do my ac system, I have been researching and getting process the last couple of years because I knew that I should get this system replaced since my old system was 22 years old. I didn't want to be caught with a broken system needing to be replaced at the wrong time) When Frank came, I was impressed by his friendly calm and assuring demeanor. He looked at what needed to be done and then gave me some great suggestions and options. I could move the Freon lines which would've been costly due to the Freon removal and replacement, and then who knows in a year or 2, I will probably replace my systems. I saw that as a good option but felt that I was just throwing away money. He then introduced more to their systems that they offer. He told me that he would work up a great price for me on new ac/heat pump systems and we will discuss what to do and pricing. I was glad to go this route because that was the route I was looking to go since my home has solar as well. These units require no oil. I kept my burner and hot water system since they are working fine, but that is all I have that used oil. Once they go, then I will switch that over as well. Frank came back to me with 2 options of units, I decided to go with the very fine, beautiful and efficient Mitsubishi units! Frank educated me on these units and their high efficiency and capabilities to heat and cool, even at extreme cold conditions, which is importantly with these heat pumps. I felt very confident with what he was showing me and his price point. Also, he said if I chose, I could get 0% financing fit 24 months through Synchrony which I was very excited about as well. I had the money to pay for the 2 units but I really want to leave my money in my investments and let them grow to help offset the costs even more. Also the rebate from PSEG was adding as well, and we even will get off on out taxes. We agreed and the job started. Now let me tell you, Frank was amazing but the crew and the company are even more amazing. How? I had a crew here for 2 woks doing my install. They installed 2 high efficiency Mitsubishi units on the side of my house that are do impressive when people see them. They excuse power! They installed new duct work in the attic to replace my 22 year old duct s (which Frank said wasn't needed as of yet but highly recommended to do more while they are there working). They installed a humidifier, ran additional ducts to my basement, set all my nest thermostats which I had already (they offer these to you as well) . Each day I would get a notification by text and email of the crew that is coming to my house with the Foreman in charge. I knew who was going to be there each day and when they would arrive. What service!!! The guys busted their butts at my home for 2 weeks up and down stairs, ladders, into the attack, removing my old system (after they installed the new one) so I was never without heat. Mike and the crew were fantastic! Frank came by with a follow up and we have been in communication. Frank and Hamptons Air really do care about their customers. They treat you as their only customer with a very high priority. I highly recommend Hamptons Air Heating and Air Conditioning!

I have also recommended them to several other people for whole house installations. When Stan ran the company it was fantastic. The company has now been bought out by SERVICE EXPERTS. They are a TERRIBLE company. I have scheduled 8 appointments to fix my AC that they installed and is still under warranty and they either can't fix it or simply don't show up. John that was running the UNIONDALE office is a pathological liar and as of 4/28/26 he is fired and the UNIONDALE office has closed. All work is supposedly being handled by FLANDERS SERVICE EXPERTS in HAMPTON BAYS. This location is just as terrible. All customer service is handled by the TEXAS office. CHRIS ANDREWS is the head pathological liar at that location. No matter what he tells you DO NOT believe it. He tells you he will give you his cell # but it's worthless because he will not answer the phone or text back. It seems if the whole SERVICE experts business model is a scam, they are trying to sell maintenance contracts that they have no intention of honoring. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE TERRIBLE JUST READ ALL THE OTHER CURRENT REVIEWS!!

    Our a/c was cycling on and off repeatedly. Called our years-long service company Friday morning,…read morewho told us no one available til Monday and also tried to sell us a service contract without really being able to explain whether or how much it might save us on repair. When I asked for ballpark, they said sounds like your 15 your-old system is too old to fix (coolant is no longer being used, so hard to re-charge system, etc. etc.), so could be $12-15k to replace. That's when I cold-called Action Air, just based on favorable Yelp rating and long time (9+) years in business. The woman I spoke to said they'd be there LATER THAT SAME DAY (Fri) and would keep me posted when he was in the nabe. I got a text at 4 pm saying tech on his way. David showed up within minutes. He was courteous, knowledgeable, efficient ... and honest. Made a quick circuit of our equipment (compressor, air handler, thermostat), and promptly determined it was just a thermostat issue. He went out to his truck and replaced the thermostat, explaining how it worked and giving us the user's manual from the box it came in. While there, he checked our air filters and the compressor, took a couple readings at the compressor and told us everything looked great, and that we should just hose out the grill around the outdoor compressor fan, noting that it was located close to a dryer vent so needed extra attention. Bottom line: This is just what. you want and need in a repair company, particularly when you're talking about equipment you may know very little about so could be at the mercy of dishonest vendors. Can't recommend Action (and David) highly enough. Saved me possibly thousands of $$$.

    Bad experience. Advise, do not let them charge you for 2 guys, -- you will get twice the charge…read morerate for service at half the speed.
