I've been seeing Annie for the last year and half for Botox and I'm very pleased with my results. I've been to many injectors over the years and struggle with finding someone who can get rid of my forehead lines but not drop my forehead at the same time. I have a bit of hooded eyelids and fear of having my eyelids more hooded if my Botox isn't done correctly. I recently was seen for my first ever botox appointment by Hania and cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with her and her team at Moksha. Needles tend to make me nervous and I just about passed out when we started the process. Hania recognized my troubles with vasovagal syncope right away and was calm, responsive, and reassuring. After the color found my face again, she was able to guide me through the rest of the process with zero problems from there. For my two-week follow-up, they already had an apple juice box and a fan ready to go for me to prevent the lightheadedness. I was a long time follower of Erika before finally getting up the courage to see her. The results were great, as expected. She did a wonderful job of answering my questions and explaining things to me. I felt truly cared for and appreciated the attentive service. But I am making this review especially to give props to Sheila! I have been receiving Botox specifically for hyperhydrosis for more than 10 years both in DC and Amsterdam so I've seen my fair share of dermatologists. It's never a pleasant procedure, no matter where in the world I've been. My (former) dermatologist office in DC became so bad over the years with returning phone calls and awful client service... so I was searching for another provider to do this procedure, and who took my insurance as well. That proved nearly impossible, it turns out. Enter Sheila! Having wasted time already waiting around on my never-to-be-returned phone calls to the dermatologist office, I wanted to book something fast. Having received great service at Moksha, and wanting to support offices that actually CARE FOR THEIR PATIENTS, I wanted to just pay out of pocket and do it there... but knew I'd be waiting months for Erika, so I decided to give Sheila a try. She has many years of experience and I felt confident she'd do a good job. Not only did she do a great job, but she used numbing gel on me -- the first time in 11 years of having this procedure done that anyone ever thought to do that. I could have cried -- tears of happiness for once! It was just so nice to have a caring, empathetic provider... she made careful marking of the area before injecting and I felt like she really paid attention to my unique anatomy rather than running in and out of the room in 3 minutes like previous derms have. Sheila gave me the impression she truly cared about my experience in the treatment room and after. TL;DR Moksha has great client service and is run by women who care for their patients, unlike "sought after" egotistical dermatologist office around here. She recommended all these skincare products for me to try out, and boy, were they great! As soon as I came in, I was greeted by a nice woman in the front that checked me in by taking my temperature before leading me towards the back waiting room. Side note: I think the only thing I would say is that the front check in area is really small so you could be waiting up there with a few people at a time and it could get crowded quickly. There were several people in the waiting room (which was very well decorated btw), but there were tons of space for seating and everyone maintained a good distance from one another which made me feel much more comfortable. Someone else came out to give me an iPad to fill out paperwork to check in. The paperwork was VERY thorough and it was something I appreciated. It made me feel that they wanted to make sure they crossed all their T's and dotted all their I's with my medical history and what I was looking for. 5 minutes after I filled out paper work they brought me to the Kelly's room to start my Botox! Kelly was AMAZING! She had great bedside manner and made me feel super comfortable. I enjoyed our conversation! I asked her for her feedback around a treatment plan for what I could do to look more balanced and rejuvenated. She was honest in the areas that I could improve with filler but told me that I was beautiful without it and it was entirely up to me. Her technique on explaining the Botox process, what she was doing, where she was injecting and why she was doing it there was great. It felt like Kelly was looking out for me and only giving me what I needed. I never felt like she rushed me at all through out the entire process and she even took time to explain what I should expect if I decided to do the filler. Going to Moksha is an experience not just an appointment. The office is beautiful and the waiting area is a dream. Everyone is kind, knowledgeable and attentive. I have had many Botox treatments in the past but my experience with Erika was truly unique. She studies your face from the moment she says hello. She is super nice but is really hyper focused on your face while you're talking to her which I really appreciated. She answered all my questions, and explained why she needed to use a high dose for the results I wanted.
