We used to love going for the quick shoots and always enjoyed them and their children taking the pictures never had one issue. Recently they started using somebody that was not their family and the quick shoot was under 2 minutes and very rushed not the Hartsocks experience that we were used to we've allowed this two sessions already Christmas and easter. I brought it up in an email the disappointment and he offered half off a session for Mother's Day which we will not be using. I requested a 50% refund on the $75 Easter pictures that were all the same . No response at all it's been two and a half weeks no response . I think that if they do quick shoots they should be able to do the quick shoots like they used to or not do them at all. The prices have already gone up and they are no longer using family which is all right but at least train the photographer to take several pictures be interactive Etc like the hartsocks children always have done. so disappointing it had to go down that way when we and family and friends have been using them for years . I just feel like if they cannot provide the experience they've had this whole time anymore because they are busy or their children are busy that is fine but they should not do the quick shoots or train the person to be like them. 5 minute shoot turned into 2 minute shoot was not very friendly all the pictures were exactly the same $75 was definitely not worth it so disappointing will not be returning !

It was great to get photos of my son, in special outfits, as a family, and separate as newborn. We are going in tomorrow for Smash Cake pictures for his first birthday. I wouldn't trust anyone more than her family during this time, she was a former nurse so she is well aware of safety and she works well with children. We took baby yoda pictures before that was even a thing! August of 2019. I'll update with our smash cake photos once we get them.

The good, the bad, and the review…read more.. We used Kevin's for our wedding in September of 2014. They are fairly expensive, but we wanted to splurge on pictures because we felt they were very important. We got a lot of great pictures, don't get me wrong. However, we got zero close up face photos and zero pictures of our hands with our rings. Overall, the pictures that were taken were great, and a few were very exceptional at the Botanic Gardens. I did have to tell the photographer, (not Kevin) that we were "for sure" doing photos from across the water (this is the reason we chose Kevin's in the first place) even though he disagreed with me about it at first after our ceremony and during our couple shoot. I'm so glad we did because these turned out to be our favorite pictures of the day. Maybe he traded any close up pictures for across the water pictures in his mind time wise? He could have been stressed about time since we were running behind schedule. I will definitely take the blame for that one, though I'm sure most weddings run slightly behind schedule. I am disappointed that I don't have close up face pictures of me and my hubby on our special day. Also, I'll I don't have a traditional picture of our hands together with rings. I was hoping for some more artistic touches and special, quiet, romantic, serious moments. There were no plays on black and white with one color in the editing or anything like that. However, the across the water pictures are absolutely EXCEPTIONAL. I have mixed emotions about this review. Both exceptional photos, yet some missed moments also. I'm sure it's nearly impossible to remember everything in a limited amount of time. A HUGE plus is that the photographer was very kind, fun and made our bridal party and family feel relaxed... Especially during the reception. As a tip for any wedding photographer, I would definitely write down the EXACT photos you want in advance so you aren't left without something that's important to you. It's something you won't think of on your special day and you rely on the photographer to call most of the shots. There is stress on the photographer as well, so some things can just be forgotten. We didn't get to meet with our specific photographer to discuss what photos we really wanted before our wedding day. I did chat with him over the phone, but I should have been more proactive about meeting with him in person. Overall, some very exceptional photos and a good experience.
