My multitudious doctor adventures began when I got paralytic polio in 1953. Just before the…read morevaccine was ready. My mom was an RN who taught in a school of nursing, my dad was a conscientious objector in WW Ii. He wound up serving as a medic. In the years of early. childhood there I was, in several rehab type facilities! Learning to walk with long leg braces and crutches. And in those years as I grew into adolescence I met scores of them. It felt like platoons of doctor soldiers marching in on me. To say such things as, "We'll. be seeing you in surgery tomorrow at 7 a.m." After that I interacted with countless physicians, and possibly scarred a bunch of doctorly egos. I was an awful patient because I so much wanted to be back home, exploring the field, the stream, the small forest on the hill behind our house. For a couple of years it was nothing but swarms of white jackets, PTs and exercise gear. With the occasional visit to the OR again. Hardly ever more outdoors other than getting from one building to another. Now I think of myself as a capable doctor critic. So to me Dr. Samrao is an ok physician. I didn't get a warm sense of caring from him, and maybe that's just him pulling away from his practice as he retires. That will be quite a change for him, in which I wish him well.

Expect lengthy waits at his office. Amy is the best office person to speak to. (Don't expect…read moreanything to be correct if Toni touches it!) Personally I have found that Dr. Samrao does not respect your privacy rights. As your doctor you should be able to discuss your medical conditions openly and candidly and it should be between you and the doctor (only). Unfortunately this is not the case. I Medical (mis) diagnosis and treatments have often been prescribed for conditions I don't have and not prescribed for medical conditions I did have. As such I, as the patient, have suffered the consequences--some have taken weeks to recover from and most recently months. A simple requested X-ray would have sent me back to work several months ago. Obtain copies of all your records when you go and review them very carefully. You will be months (maybe even years) attempting to correct errors. His quackery may have cost me my job. Also, don't expect him to inform you of any possible side effects of prescriptions. Either ask or READ the paperwork with the medications. I have gone to him for 10 years. It is only in the past 3 or 4 that I have noticed the decline in the care I receive--but then in Chowchilla/Madera what do you have to compare it to? If you are a "frequent flyer" you will like him.

I wouldn't recommend anyone bringing their loved ones here. I went in here with pain and they…read morestrapped me down and held me hostage all because I was crying in pain. They have terrible management. They can't control their emotions and they take it out on the people that go over there so please do not take your loved ones there they will be hurt or traumatized.. One of the worst hospitals I've ever been to worst experiences I've ever had mind you. I went to another hospital in a different town and got treated way better and taken care of. They didn't take care of me at all. They left me. I was calling out for help and they never helped me. They tied me down and had the security tie me down and that's unacceptable so I will be pursuing other actions. because I'm not no mental patient. I don't have a mental illness and I'm not on any medication or drugs and I'm a normal human being with pain that's un tolerable . They could've just helped in the ER but instead they treat Patients like if they have a mental illness they don't wanna do their job correctly. Worst hospital ever.

Upon arrival at my first appointment, I found the staff to be super nice and was seen by their PA-C within 15 minutes of arrival. He advised me that I need blood work and set-up for a biopsy. Upon my return visit I met with the Primary Pulmonary doctor, Dr. Javaid. Again the staff was very cordial, got in to see the doctor within 10-15 minutes and found the doctor to be informative, giving of needed information, allowing me to choose a PetScan in lieu of a biopsy due to my concerns of COVID-19 Pandemic making such procedure some what hazardous within medical facilities treating the decease. Bottom-line, so far I have found everyone assisting me at this office to be very professional, cordial, etc. and I highly recommend anyone looking for a pulmonary specialist to give them an opportunity to assist you.

I got a bill for over $200 about three months later. When I called to ask what happened they hemmed and hawed and said well, that's just the way it is. $200 isn't a lot of money, it's the point of the matter. If you can't get billing right how can I trust your test results. Just another example of incompetence in the valley in an area people put a lot of trust in. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
