Asked the cashier, what do I use to eat and wipe my hands, he stated, 'I don't know and then said, we have been waiting in a truck for a week'. I went in to use my monthly $4 coupon (Burrito and large fountain drink) I showed the cashier my coupon and then put in my nitro card, then looked at my reception. I stated, this should have been $4 plus 7 percent tax and you charged me $4.79. The brunette lady stated 'he did not even charge you for the drink'. I politely stated 'I had a coupon for $4 for both and you are over charging me by .79 cents. If you do this to a 100 customer, you are making $$'. The burrito was cold, old and if I can post a photo of it, I will as it was not hot, fresh and looked liked it had been in the display case for over 30 minutes. My normal Maverik store is in West Des Moines off of Mills Civic Parkway near Glen Town Center. It is clean, fresh, very clean and I have always had a positive experience And the food is fresh. I called the 1-800 number to report my experience and she stated she Sent a note to the District Manager, then forwarded me to voicemail of Risk Management. No one has addressed the issue that I was overcharged nor why the coupon was not applied or the fact that the burrito was awful! No Stars or Rating Given as this was a FAIL!

However, Maverik replied to every review on the review sites except mine, and I am the only Asian among those reviews. Their extended discrimination against me by unwilling to resolve this situation has been causing me depression and migraines. On January 31st, 2025, I went to their Herriman, Utah location to buy a pack of cigarettes. The cashier at the time, refused to sell it to me by insulting me with a false accusation that the employee somehow made out of his thought-police-process as if I were buying the pack of cigarettes for someone else. I was confused and asked where did that come from because I was by myself. The employee just kept on repeating " I am buying for that guy?" To this day, I am not sure who that guy even is. There is a deli inside the convenience store where you can order sandwiches and hot food items, but I believe it's currently closed due to COVID-19.
