The appeal process is given the thumbs up or down, by a Board of Supervisors. Who are not Economically trained Economists and individuals performing calculations, or looking at data. And, you as a homeowner, have to appear and make your case yourself in person. " Even though you made the appeal in writing previously " to the agency. A obvious dodge and hurdle placed in front of property owners. Also, appeal's data made in writing " doesn't mean anything to the board ". Stated on appeals information. Only " in person repeating " of appeal information repeated to them, in person. Why doesn't previous written appeal information not be considered? Useless duplication and hurdles placed in front of appealing property owners. This board seems to be more like " The Emperors of Arizona's Real Estate lobby ", than serving the public. In Federal Government, " The Realtor/Real Estate Lobby, is the largest and most well funded " along with Oil mining. 3. As a potential client, this was a HUGE red flag right right away. When it comes to important tax matters, there's no way I'd cut a check to this office to prepare my taxes. As much as I trust that Henry is an expertise in his field, I would never consider hiring him to do my taxes because I know I'll have to consistently chase he and his lacking staff to get anything done. I hope when Henry reads this review, he will seriously consider making changes in how he operates his office. Especially pertaining to following up/following through with potential clients. After chasing them around for a couple months trying to get a follow up to my questions, phone calls and emails... I finally gave up. They lost me as a client which is unfortunate because I was looking forward to Henry helping me with my tax situation and even more so learning from him. It truly disheartens me to post this review but the truth is they need to take a closer look at how they're handling their potential clients. In the long run, I just can't see anything getting accomplished with this firm.

This month, January, wanted to stop by the office and it was no longer at the original location. I called they moved to a new location. But in the process, no notification to potential and former clients. When I called requested the template form to begin the task for filing this year. One week passed. I went to another CPA on Stockton Hill Road the other day they set me up for an appointment. Before leaving the office, they also gave me the template form to complete and return to meet with an advisor. It is a shame where you front line staff can be the downfall of a business.

Visited the Origen Museum that's super gigantic and has well needed A/C during the summer months…read more They have a cool dinosaur exhibit currently on display with a coloring station. The flash flood exhibit was neat to experience with the water rushing down the rocks aggressively. Also, I had no idea there were animals outside such as the tortoise, gray fox, insects, and other desert animals! We loved just walking around a not-so-crowded museum for once. The gift store also has a bunch of cool stuff like a kids explorer vest, bighorn sheep plushie, and lavender and desert garden items.

You can also get on an old train and learn about history of Las Vegas. Outside, there is a playground, and a few animals so it kind of feels like a little mini zoo. They also have a cafe which we tried and was decent. One thing I really like is that they have different activities and workshops on certain days so it doesn't feel like you're doing the same thing every time you visit. On our last visit, they had an insect workshop with a UNLV student who taught the kids about different bugs. At the end, they got to make their own little bug hotel, really cute! They had also added a dinosaur exhibit where they had moving dinasaurs and a place where kids could draw and put it in a 3D computer and turn their drawing into a walking dinasour. Pretty cool for kids. So this is a great place to spend a few hours. It's fun and educational at the same time.

Hoover Dam is one of those spots in the US everyone feels like they need to see. It is considered…read moreone of engineering's 7 Industrial Wonders of the World with it's arch-gravity flood control. This national historic spot is 726' tall and 1244' wide, it's definitely a fun sight to see. Back in the great depression, more specifically in 1935 when it opened, it was the largest water dam of the time. If you are going from LA to Vegas, it's not exactly on the way but 45 minutes past Vegas if you want to hit it up 'along' the way. I think most people prefer to get to Vegas first, and then it's not too bad at about 45 minutes outside of town. For me, it's such a quick stop of under an hour that it doesn't feel worth it to do that. If you're driving in, there will be a security checkpoint where they may open your trunk, etc but then you can park wherever to check things out. They have a visitor center with a paid $10 parking garage on the Nevada side and bathrooms. They also offer tours from there that I'm sure are informative and great. However, I've only ever driven in and stopped at different points to read the signs, take photos and just marvel at the grandiosity of it all. Also you know how I mentioned the Nevada side? It's right on the border with Arizona so that's pretty cool to be in two states at once at the designated points. It's a great photo to straddle the line and you're basically time travelling since they have two different time zones. The earlier you go, the better in my experience. Less crowds and heat closer to opening make for an ideal Hoover Dam experience!
