Only drawback is the place is packed whenever they have something going on, & it will take forever to find a parking spot or even to drive through. But it is nice that they hold quite a few free events. They also have shelters that you can rent out for a pretty decent price for parties or whatever type of event you would like to hold.

Well they have a boat ramp into the water. They have a golf course..that's it..No picnic area, no bathrooms, no playgrounds..so we went on down the road to where it dead ends and loops into a parking lot area at the lake.. That's it.. I really wouldn't call it a State Park. There is some historical value here but NO signs or trails..nothing to tell you about it. I guess you have to look it up on the internet to find out any information about it. The lake was pretty though and we did stop to take a couple of photos and saw a guy in a row boat catch a fish.. Maybe there is something we missed? We will have to check it out another day..

This is a wonderful attraction with much fun things to do we spent a lot of time at their beach with the lake water we played games so I took my daughters to swing sets and slides we cooked out we walked around the facility they have fireworks at night time this is just an excellent establishment that when we go back we will have to visit for sure. My favorite part was definitely riding on the golf cart listen to some jams and just driving around having a great time and seeing the sights

There are supposedly 2.5 miles of trails but I am not sure if that counts mountain bike trails or walking trails. There's plenty of mountain biking to do and it looks quite fun if you're into that. The pedestrian trails are paved and nice but they sadly don't have as much of a view of the river as the bike trails! I also didn't follow the trails through the entire park as they seem to cross the road. I couldn't see on the other side an obvious trail connection so I just turned back. The park itself is between industrial area and farmland so you get nice views for half of it and not so nice views for the other half (also lots of noise during a weekday). Overall the trails were well maintained (a bit wet) and the park was pleasant to walk through. Worth a visit if you want a change of scenery.

We were able to have a picnic and let the kids burn off some energy before getting back in the car for another 5-6 hours. There weren't any sporting events going on while we visited so the park was pretty empty, but I could see it getting crowded with sporting events going on. Pros: The playground was huge and had plenty of play structures to keep the kids entertained for a while. Lots of cute picnic spots overlooking the pond. Plenty of parking. Easy access to I-65. Cons: It was very hot and shade at the playground was limited, but there was plenty of shade by the pond and other locations throughout the park. No bathrooms that we saw, only portable toilets. Lots of ducks and geese looking for food.
