But the item that stimulated this review is that this business has been stellar in protecting the public during this Covid-19 pandemic. I had to literally stop by their office to get anyone to respond to me- two days after I had made arrangements with multiple other people and had borrowed equipment to help me get the plants in the ground. When confronted the first time, Julie would not acknowledge the agreement made, despite my having it in writing on the order. She acted like she had both never met me before, or made me verbal and written promises. She then blamed Joe Biden for their company's inability to hire enough workers. I returned the next day to ask for a refund, as I found plants of better quality at a lower price at another nursery. She refused and did not want to ask the owner- Greg, who it turns out is her husband- to issue a refund. He came in from the yard, and similarly refused to issue a refund. He also refused to acknowledge the order that I had in my hand, or acknowledge that I had made multiple attempts to communicate my needs to the company, and they did not respond back. He got belligerent, got in my face, and then went on a tirade about Joe Biden. I repeatedly said I was in shock by their behavior and didn't understand what Joe Biden had to do with their inability to return phone calls, fulfill and order, or at least just issue me a refund and be done with it. Both of them stormed out of the office and slammed the door. I went outside and told the other potential customers in the parking lot that I would seriously reconsider doing business there. And then he threatened to call 911 on me!! After a public shaming campaign on Facebook., he agreed to issue me a refund. And it has been two weeks and I have not seen the refund!! These guys suck!! And it sounds like I'm not the only person to have a horrible experience with them!

The woman at the register had made a mistake when typing in the code. It's a big mistake but stuff happens and I could live with that. What was NOT ok is that she never apologized and she acted like it was a huge inconvenience to refund us the amount she herself had over charged us and then she demanded the Caras bucks back (not that I care about the bucks but her entire attitude was that we were the problem). Basically both myself and my mother were made to feel less than. I'm sorry, maybe 57 bucks isn't much to her but it's a lot to me and being treated like that was a slap in the face. I will shop for my plants elsewhere in the future.

He gave me several options, one of which was a plant called a jeweled orchid. It was beautiful so I bought it ($20). I also picked up an air plant that has just finished flowering which excited me because I didn't know they flowered. The next day a friend came over and saw the the beautiful job I had done wiring the jewel orchid to a large lava rock to which she informed my orchid plants will absolutely NOT live on a rock and not only that but unlike other orchids, it needs deep loamy soil. I looked it up online and she is right. She also informed me that once an air plant blooms it will never bloom again and is at end of life (so should not even be for sale). Bottom line I received some very poor advice which cost me $35 and still left me without the plants I wanted. Also, as an aside, they are insanely expensive. They were selling a plant for $67 that I bought for 10 bucks from Walmart. Same size, same apparent health.
