This is a small lil joint on Yosemite Blvd and can be a good spot for breakfast. Food is made fresh and the ambience in the restaurant is chill. Depending on how many people are working, service may be a lil slow but overall it is a solid spot to grab a good bite to eat. Normally the service and food is delicious. But they normally also have silverware. I shop at dollar general and I'm able to buy decently cheap silverware. I wasn't even able to cute my pancake with the knife they gave me. The pancakes are normally fluffy they felt like rubber pancakes. They were a 5 star in my book. That's why I came back. But there coffee changed I'm not sure if its cause they used stirophone cups or what. Not a happy customer. read more

I went to this cafe on Saturday around 8:00 a.m., and fully expected to wait per all the other reviews. Our food was served pretty quickly, about 10-15 mins after ordering. Both of our meals were served at the same time, and they were nicely hot/warm! Both my bf and I had made special requests, and the food was prepared exactly as requested. The place was busy, with customers at every table and orders being taken by phone. Too be honest, every restaurant can have 'bad' days where they might be short-staffed. Thankfully, we had a great experience for a really low price for an independently-owned cafe! We'll def be back!! read more

Today was the first day I've been here in about 7 years. It's a nice, small gem down Yosemite. It wasn't packed and our server was very friendly. Our server was attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our food to be served. My son and I ordered pancakes and eggs. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. The iced coffee was delicious. My cousin and her boyfriend ordered a burger and a sandwich, both of which they said they would recommend. I'll be back soon to treat the family! read more

Went in this morning for breakfast. The end result was I didn't get to eat breakfast. Simple order- the French toast slam. I waited about 20-30 minutes for my food. When the waitress brought the plate, she rushed over and slid it on the table with a quick sorry and rushed off. Perhaps that was because the plate had been waiting so long the all of the butted had melted on top of the French toast and was congealed on the plate. Every thing was cold. The French toast, the eggs, the bacon and the sausage. And the eggs were overcooked. I really don't expect my scrambled eggs to be brown. I raised my hand to get the waitresses attention, she saw me but then avoided eye contact as she ran off to clear a table. When she finally came to my table and I told her everything was cold, she said "Yep, yep, no charge and rushed off with my cold plate." So burnt, cold food with service staff that just doesn't care - why waste your money and time. read more

Went in with my daughter today, for the first time in a long time. I noticed they changed the name from Bob's Cafe to Modesto Cafe. The chicken fajita omelette didn't taste as good as Bob's and the biscuits was awful. Needless to say won't be going back Ridgeways is better. read more
