This place is a great! One day after Spanish class, my classmates and our teacher came here as a farewell outing for our classmate's last day. We had coffees and a few tapas. Everything was really nice.
I like the vibes here. It's a relaxing setting, but it's got a great, classy old world European cafe feel to it.
In addition to my cortado, I had the torrezno, which was utterly amazing. My classmate also ordered it and we loved it so much, we went back several times to Cafe Moderno together to order it again. Torreznos are like chicharrons; it's pork belly, marinated and once dried, cut into strips and fried in olive oil. It's so delicious!
The staff here are really cool too. The bartender speaks some English and was happy to chat with us in both English and Spanish. The prices are inexpensive here too.
If I'm back in Zaragoza again, you better believe I'm coming in to order another torrezno! read more
