They made me feel at ease and they explained the process every step of the way. I was made to feel very comfortable during what could easily be anticipated as a high-stress procedure. The waiting lobby is comfortably furnished and they have complimentary bottles of water. On each day and at halfway through my appointments, I was sent out to eat a fatty meal which helps the chemicals show up during the scanning procedure. You'll find Whataburger, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Taco Cabana, and other restaurants within about a half mile, so you'll have plenty of choices and plenty of time to eat and return. I did not know that VARICOSE veins were the cause of the consistent pain, heaviness and swelling in my legs. Dr. Powell is calm, gentle and has great bedside manners. His team is great. I have been under their care for over three years. I am so thankful I found them. My family doctor's P. A. suggested that massages might help my pain. (I went to two different therapists. The first left me bruised and in worse pain. A week later, when the pain subsided, I went to a second one. She took one look at the back of my legs and suggested I see a vein specialist. She did not even finish my session, she did not want to cause further pain or injury. I paid and left. It was 4:00 pm. and looked online where I found that I could be seen the next morning by a vein specialist in a nearby town. That experience left me frustrated. Their first questions were about money. Although their advertisement said that an assessment was free, before the doctor saw me, I was told that I needed to schedule several procedures. The doctor saw me briefly but did not examine me, told me that I needed vein treatment and sent me back to his staff who wanted me to schedule several procedures without further explanations and talked more about money. I felt pressured and uncomfortable with their process. After more online research, I found Dr. Powell. Thank goodness for Texas Vein and Aesthetics. Dr. Powell has given me my life back. Before, leg pain prevented me from walking! Immediately after the first procedure, the heaviness and pain in the treated leg dissipated. Treatment of the other leg gave similar results. I have had several treatments. The treatments are not painful. The staff is friendly, caring and patient oriented. I can't say enough, how much they helped me! Obviously :). First, Victor Fuselier will expertly examine and assess YOUR condition, advise and inform you. From my first session with Victor, I was at peace as his explanations reassured me. Then you are told it should only be 30 minutes. Then that 30 minutes goes by, not even 1 patient has left and when asked "About how much longer it will be", you get the reply " Oh about 30 minutes".... Evidentally they are uneducated on how time works and have absolutely no regard for patients and how valuable our time is. This is the most unprofessional, unorganized "office", We have ever seen (With 1 exception). Bottom line, if you are ok with them wasting YOUR valuable time (2-3 hours), then, by all means, go for it. On the other hand, if you value your time and self-worth enough to not let Dr. Offices like this one get by with quadruple + overbooking, then please take a stand and find another Dr.
