Everyone was so welcoming and warm and kind, and even though our budget was somewhat modest, they never made us feel awkward about it. The owner Sasha and his son Josh are extraordinary people who made us feel like family. They helped us find a beautiful rug in our budget, and we truly felt like we had made lifelong friends. ABSOLUTELY THE FIRST PLACE YOU SHOULD LOOK FOR A RUG! Truly surprising selection of beautifully designed rugs at affordable prices. Even the inexpensive rugs had a high-end designer feel to them. They're not just the kind you'll find at Home Depot, these looks like you got them on in the Robertson design district (which is, actually, nearby). They also have fine rugs, all of which feel artistic and unique, and even those are more affordable than the other rug shops I visited. We found them through a designer who has worked with Sasha a great deal over the years and while we never ended up meeting him, the salespeople and everyone we dealt with were so helpful. They walked us through a variety of options that fit what we were looking for and our budget (ok maybe a little over our budget) and we even were able to memo some of the rugs, one of which we ended up buying. Most of all though we love our rug! Its good quality and beautiful and really gives our room a certain warmth and style. Ended up buying a 5 by 7 rug with a nice design for a reasonable price, and they even threw in a complimentary $80 pad with a yelp check in. Was served mainly by Paulino but the other younger guy helping us out was nice as well. Said they've been open for 7 years and I'm not surprised. Their selection is nice and they've got great rugs in various (decent) price ranges. I plan on returning to buy a faux fur rug for another room in my apartment. This lady is satisfied. Tons of options (possibly too many for some) to try/touch/see. They are very nice people and not pushy at all. They also have a poofy Samoyed mascot that is a big ball of white fluffy love. Probably go back just to see him :p I don't know if this is common so don't go in demanding it but I was torn between two options and they basically said I could take the rug home and try it out and if I didn't like it after a week I could come in and exchange at no cost. Just picked up a beautiful rug from here a few days ago. The place had a great selection in contemporary rugs. What I really appreciated was that the owner, Sasha, literally went through nearly every rug explaining the different types fibers and how they would suit my needs as well as the process of how each rug is actually made. At one point, seeing my momentary indecisiveness, one of his employees quickly photoshopped up what a few would look like in my living room (I had taken a photo of a my couch I'm trying to pair it to before leaving the house). He also showed me on his phone a picture of his home and one rug, one that I would never pick my own, worked very well. Sasha is the epitome of an exceptional salesman. I've done a lot of work in customer experience and sales effectiveness and Sasha is exactly what I tell my clients to aspire to be. We parked in a lot north of Modern Rugs and called to confirm we could park there. Sasha personally walked out to the parking lot and welcomed us into his store. Out came the best welcoming committee I could hope for: China, his sweet Chow Chow mix pup. The store was immaculate, well lit, and tastefully decorated. Sasha and his sales associate gave us enough alone time to browse at our own pace, but would knowledgeably answer any questions that we had. Whether they were regarding aesthetics and design or quality and cleaning requirements, Sasha was able to impart his extensive knowledge on us. We felt very comfortable making the decision to purchase two rugs that same day. His main objective was for us to be happy with the purchase. He said he'll personally pick up the rug if we wanted to exchange it for something else, after we did a test run. After doing an extensive online search and visiting all of the local rug stores, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and price points that Sasha is able to provide his customers. He is extremely personable and made sure to follow up with us to ensure we were happy with our new rugs. Clearly, his business is built around the lifetime value of the customer relationship and word of mouth, not high margins and pushy sales tactics to satisfy a quick one time sale. This is the place to go for rugs. I've purchased rugs elsewhere online that I thought were great 'deals' at the time. Little did I know what I was getting myself into... I could not keep up with the shedding and I gave them away to Goodwill. Long story short don't buy a rug unless you see it in person and this is the place to go. I came back 3 times before I had the rug I was satisfied with and Sasha smiled and helped me out each time I came back. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of product you are getting, and the customer service is the best you will find. Just realized that I had forgotten to leave a review about this great please months ago! I needed a specific type of mat to go underneath some rugs in my employers home and Sasha knew exactly what I was looking for. I emailed him a photo to confirm we were in fact talking about the same thing, and he was right on. I gave him the dimensions and the pads were cut and ready to go within an hour. Was greeted warmly when I went to pick up the items, great customer service (someone carried all three pads to my car a but down the street) and overall great experience.
