We were in line at 7:24 and as customers were coming in one of the employees yelled out that they were the last customer since they closed at 8pm. As businesses are suffering right now, it seems too bad that employees aren't going out of their way to make people feel welcome and to make the business as profitable as possible. She said to manually imput the barcode on the receipt as they hadnt been trained on the app yet, but she never gave me a receipt as they ran out of paper. I insisted on getting the points all she could do was apologize, in addition 2 of my pizzas had to be remade as they came out burnt and by the time the remade pizzas came out the other pizzas were cold. The staff was nice but I felt like I was in the scene from zootopia watching the sloths make my pizza. Everyone was moving in slow motion. We have been going to this location in Queen Creek since it opened. What happened to this place? The restaurant was disgusting, and the employees looked like homeless people off the street There were three employees behind the counter making food, one customer in front of us already ordering and we still had to stand and wait for too long because everyone was disorganized and confused with no customer service skills whatsoever. . As we were ordering, I knew we were making a mistake. As I was standing there in front of the counter, there were "flies" circling and landing on all the prepared food. The employees' expressions and attitude told me they did not want to be there. The restaurant was nearly empty with only one other dine-in customer besides me and my wife. The dining area felt like I was in a seedy roadside burger basket in rural America. The floors were disgusting, and the tabletops were all sticky. At first we thought the tabletops were dirty, but upon going around to a couple tables to find a decent table, it is not that they were dirty, but the finish is worn off "ALL" the wooden tables tops. All the tables' tops are wet sticky wood. That is just disgusting! Oh, and to top it off, the bathroom had not been cleaned for a while. We love MOD Pizza! I have a ton of food allergies, and this location always goes above and beyond to help me get my customized cauliflower MOD pizza. We often walk in within an hour of closing time, as we have some weekly late night events. We are always apologetic and the workers are so great and joke with us about it! Great sense of humor from the workers, I always see them cleaning, and there isn't ever one person standing around doing nothing. But you have those people that don't and today the rudest man said if I didn't want to get sick that I shouldn't be coming out why should he have to wear a mask. My mask protects you from me so you should be kind enough and respectful enough to want to make sure that you wear a mask to make sure that you are not spreading it to anyone else if you cough are you sneeze. While you're there you can also choose from several salad selections. The salads are made to order tossed in a bowl with your ingredient selections then packaged for you to take away. Meanwhile your pizza has been put into the oven, and after a small wait,it is boxed and ready for you. Quality of the pizza is acceptable nothing more. Since it is in the oven for such a short period of time it gets done but not piping hot,the toppings are warm at best,the crust is done around the edges ,not always the center. Had to ask several times (understand crust is thin so you don't want too much but this is not our first time). Only 2 stars because of the food. Customer service will make or break a business. My mother and I walked in first in line. No one greeted us. Everyone behind the counter just looked at us and went about their conversation. We walked up to the counter and still no one greeted us. I had to stare at someone before she came up and started asking our order. Then as 2 of the associate start to make our pizzas, someone comes up to the counter and inquired about a job application. The associates all decided to talk about it and argue over the whole interview process and other people involved. Asking me to repeat my order over and over and over and over again. I had patience and said nothing. We paid and waited for the pizza. The person AFTER us got their pizza first and then we did. We both walked into the different stores at the same time and expected to hopefully come out around the same time. Normally MOD is pretty quick. Tonight I had one couple and a small family of four in front of me.... (no biggie). Then I continue to watch the gentleman making pizzas move at the slowest pace possible. Great concept! The pizza sizes are good for one person which is cool. It's also wood fired, not my favorite, but this was good. Doesn't reheat well if you don't finish, my leftovers became garbage. Employees could spread the toppings better, I only had a couple of toppings but they were all in 3 main spots, so I had a lot of sauce only areas. My biggest complaint, pick a better time than in the middle of my order to boss a new hire around. It's very disrespectful to interrupt in the middle of an order to remind the person taking our order about other orders, there were 2 other employees that could have been advised of the online orders that were simply standing around doing nothing. Great value for the money, custom made, quick, and flavorful. Putting on the blue cheese, and the Gorgonzola cheese really made a big difference. The spicy sausage has way more flavor as well, and isn't too hot. I think I'd have them cook the dough a little more to make it crispy, but all in all, I was pleased with the food and the leftovers as well. read more
