This was my first time trying Mod pizza as I heard it was a WA staple and I needed to try it. I'm used to pizza places like Pieology back home so I figured I'd give it a try. First off the ordering process was simple but I was disappointed that they did not offer ricotta cheese. The meats and veggies also did not look very fresh. I got one of those cake things they are known for which was really good. I did have to ask for it as they did not have any on display. I got home to eat my pizza and was able to eat only 1 or 2 slices as it kept dropping and everything was falling off of it. At this point I was just eating it because I was starving and it was expensive, but when I went for another slice I bit into it and it was RAW. The dough was not cooked and I immediately spit it out. I checked the other remaining slices and they were raw as well. It was weird that it was both raw and burnt at the same time. Thank goodness I ordered the bread stick things because that's all I ate and even those were slightly raw so I stopped eating it. We ended up throwing it all away as it was inedible and even now thinking about it upsets my stomach. My first and last Mod experience unfortunately. read more

Worst mod pizza experience* I Ordered a couple of pizzas online and had arrived at the time it stated it would be ready. Upon arriving at the mod pizza establishment I had given the designated pickup employee my order name and she had checked for my pizza and stated "it should be ready soon". After waiting for 20-30 minutes a lady that ordered online after me had already gotten her order so I went to ask again about my order and found that it had been ready when I arrived at the establishment. Furthermore, the total time to get my pizza had been an hour and due to the employees error I had sat at the location for 20-30 minutes for absolutely no reason. Overall, I am Never going to this establishment again and I don't recommend that anyone uses the online order system. read more

Used to be great but is steadily going downhill. If you order online you might not know something is unavailable until you get home and they've just arbitrarily changed what you picked and substituted with something else without asking. Like substituting garlic butter for Gorgonzola . A whole crust covered in gorgonzola is inedible. Restaurants are all about experience. The food here was great but man... the customer service was so blah. When the employee said "Anything before the cheese?" My wife asked for clarification saying "What does that mean? This is our first time here." The employee said "Literally... ANYTHING before the cheese" and pointed to the condiments in front of us. I would give this place a 3.5, but I'll round it to a four because their housemade tea and lemonades are amazazing! Fast, cheap, and easy way to get fresh pizza to go or to dine. You can choose combinations on the wall, or you can make your own. Add all the toppings and the price will still be the same! Aka Make sure you get everything if you want more bang for your buck. The place is clean and rustic inside. It's pretty roomy! I love their housemade tea, lemonade, they serve beer/wine and milkshakes. What more could you ask for? Obviously you'll never go thirsty here. Quality-wise is pretty decent. It was definitely tasty but I think more cheese and sauce would have made me happier. What a great concept, it's like subway but with pizza. We were welcomed as soon as we entered. There are many fresh toppings and sauces to choose from. The 6" mini pizza is the perfect size for me. The thin crust is light and crispy. I decided to use pesto as my sauce and topped it with chicken, anchovies and lots of veggies. It was a good combination but maybe next time I won't go so crazy on the veggies. (Sometimes more is not better.). They also have milkshakes, draft beer and wine. read more

As pizza goes I'm not really a fan...However if I were this would be the pizza to convert me. I love to be able create my own style and actually watch them do it . On this particular night we had a minor mishap after creating my "special masterpiece " ...The kitchen staffers dropped it on the floor !! I was a little disappointed. However I recalled my mix and they created another of my " special masterpieces ". I had already paid so not much they could do there but the counter person did offer me a Coke.. I thought they should offered and extra pizza or milk shake...No worries though.. I always take out and this time was no different. I feel they're worth 1.5 stars, but most certainly not 2. I've gotten take-out from them many times since they've opened since they're just a hop away. I really like the idea they have going, but my experiences are really inconsistent. Sometimes the crust is seriously under cooked, sometimes it's burnt black. Sometimes I have plenty of toppings and other times there's almost nothing there. The garlic sticks I ordered one time just plain sucked. Customer service is also hit or miss. There is one constant with all of my experiences: something is always wrong. Pizza is really easy to make and there are way, way too many pizza places to keep going to a place that can't deliver a consistently good product. I have come to the location on kent-kangley road at 9:40 pm 20 minutes before closing multiple times. I came here tonight at 9:42 pm and while I was walking up to the doors an employee was racing to the front in order to turn off the sign and I walked in and he gave me a sassy saying of "we literally just closed... The sign is off" as I am watching 2 employees build pizza on the line and another employee pulling a pizza out of the oven. I am very upset by the fact that this location closes early and doesn't hesitate to turn away customers even when they are making themselves pizza... don't come here at night, the nighttime staff/manager is completely unprofessional. read more

I've had MOD Pizza from my cousin who works at the one in Redmond Ridge, but I never gotten the chance to actually eat it inside their restaurant. Cause most of the time I've had it, it was always delivered. After shopping at Southcenter, we got hungry and didn't even want to eat mall food cause it was really crowded and finding a table would be hard to find as well, so we decided on MOD Pizza. Since it was our first time stepping foot inside MOD Pizza and ordering, we were so clueless as to where the start was, but the employees were really nice and helped us out. I ordered the Dillon James and my boyfriend ordered the Caspian. What I love about MOD Pizza is that you can choose your size. Not everyone can finish a regular size MOD size and I'm SO glad that they offer mini pizzas! I have an appetite to eat, but most of the time I don't finish my food and end up taking it home or having the boyfriend finish it for me. I'm so glad I ordered the mini size cause it definitely filled me up and I was able to finish it, so I thank MOD Pizza for that! I'll definitely be back and trying more pizza flavors. :) read more

I've gotta say my experience with different MOD stores is all over the board, went here today on a fixed time schedule and walked up to the counter to be barely greeted. No one in line and he's making some pizzas and looks like he got a couple of online orders and I'm told it's going to be a while. I can't wait when I'm on the clock so I had to walk out. Pretty frustrating, when it looks like plenty of staff ( I could not tell what they were doing do I can't say much). Love Mod Pizza BUT.... kinda grossed out at this one. Everyone had their hair pulled back or wrapped up but the guy cooking the pizza's in the big oven. He had Long shoulder length hair and a big bushy beard. He wore a baseball cap but his hair was long around his shoulders and his big bushy beard was not covered either. I don't usually review chains, but I had such a great experience today that it's worth noting: There was a HUGE online order ahead of me and the staff was really apologetic, which you don't see often anymore. (They got through the order fairly quickly, so an apology wasn't necessary but definitely appreciated.) Not only did they take and complete my order quickly, the staff worked so well as a team. I enjoy this pizza location. Their Cesar salads are delicious. I usually get a small Caesar salad and mini MOD. I get to choose what I want on my pizza and how crispy I want it, which I love it super crispy. You can have them make your choice of pizza or any specials they may have, the same thing goes for the salads. I love the ability to have the option, you can choose one on their menus or make your own. I also love their vintage lemonade!yum!! The employees were so welcoming and nice, without them, I couldn't even give this review a 5 stars. 3 people greeted us as we walked in and the lady who made our pizza even explained to us how MOD Pizza works due to it being our first time. Now, the pizza was just amazing, as well as the garlic strips! The toppings tasted very very fresh. THE BEST PART, THEY DON'T CHARGE FOR THE AMOUNT OF TOPPINGS YOU WANT! The staff that was helping in the afternoon was extremely rude I was trying to explain my order and the lady was busy doing other things. My daughters pizza had barely any cheese on it and literally four pieces of pepperoni as I was trying to tell her I wanted more on there the pizza had already went in the oven.I have them try to remake it once again they got it wrong I asked to speak to a manager and one of the girls refused and was extremely rude. The pizza here is fine, just like the other locations. HOWEVER, they really need to train their staff and managers better at this location! The person in front of us ordered a gluten-free pizza. When we went to pick-up our pizzas, it was clear they had mixed up the order and gave us someone else's order. The staff looked at the pizza, and it was a gluten-free pizza that was mixed up. Upon noticing the mistake, none of the Mod staff made an attempt to track down the original person that ordered the gluten-free pizza. Even the manager noticed the mix up, but took no action! They did not go to eat table to ask if they ordered a gluten-free pizza. I have been to other locations where they put metal numbers clips on the pizza to ensure the pizzas do not get mixed up. Disappointing service...staff here needs to be retrained from the top down! If I required a gluten-free diet, I would certainly not come here! read more
