Stadtkind, located just a few blocks from the Konstanzer Altstadt, is awash in pastel blues & pinks…read more& bright whites. It's an inviting corner cafe with mismatched tables & chairs & fresh flowers in vases. -all very tidy & cheery.
The counter service is friendly, there's a decent selection of breakfast plates (soft boiled eggs, rolls, meat & cheese; muesli) & lunch plates (soup, panini). Pretzels, pastry & donuts--all baked off premises--are also to be had.
We spent more than a few early mornings and late afternoons at this corner spot. It's very well visited, so grabbing a table can be tricky, but not always impossible.
In a town where many joints are closed on Sundays, this place is open, if however briefly. Sunday hours: 8-11am. Thank you for that, Stadtkind!
