If you stay in Kaufering this is a hotel to stay at. It's just a few short steps away from the…read moretrain station and it's very well run. I believe this hotel is family owned and operated and it shows. They show a lot of care to the guests and the restaurant inside is one of the best I've ever been and that's inside of a hotel. And frankly they serve the best steak I've ever had in Germany. The rooms are well attended to every day and the price is pretty fair. This hotel actually has several buildings including Apartments. And in one of the buildings they even have a really cool old school soda machine. A definite plus when you want something to drink and don't want to walk into another building. Most of the staff speak very good English and the breakfast is very good. In all this is a hotel I could always stay while in Kaufering.
Additional comments that take away one star.
The hotel seems to have a serious shortage of ironing boards. Oddly they do not have them in each room and seem to have only one or two for the hotel.
Also the church, which is a block away, rings the bell every 15 minutes. Then it rings a full minute at the top of the hour. And on the weekends the hotel bell rings for ten minutes at 12 noon. So it's difficult to get some sleep sometimes. The bells are loud! You have been warned.
In addition the wifi is intermittent. As one should I use a VPN when using free Wi-Fi. Their wifi does not seem to like the use of a VPN for some reason because it takes so long to connect.
