I've been wanting to get a digital perm for a while and went through countless reviews before deciding. I messaged Allen for about three days, going back and forth with all my questions since it was my first time--and wow, he was so patient! I ended up booking with him, and he even squeezed me in on a Saturday before I went out of town for a week. Sooo happy with my hair! He's also super nice and knowledgable about hair! My hair had no damage at all and we were still able to get pretty light despite me having thin hair. I've been going to Allen since the middle of COVID, and I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with coloring my hair anymore. The balayage he did over two years ago still looked amazing--beautiful grow-out, and I've only done two toning sessions the entire time. Most recently, I went in for airtouch highlights, and as always, Allen nailed it. He achieved the exact color I wanted and made sure my hair stayed healthy, even with three bleaching sessions involved. He really takes the time to do things right and pays such close attention to detail--it never feels rushed, and the results speak for themselves. Allen is meticulous and truly cares about the health and look of your hair. I asked him to cut off a couple inches, add layers, and touch up my curtain bangs, which he did beautifully. He even had some styling recommendations on account of my hair being in the wavier side. I am so so happy to have finally found Allen! He's a saving grace for my horribly problematic hair! I have naturally very thin and soft Asian hair and have gone through countless bleaching sessions (yes I used to go for balayage or full global bleach to get to platinum or white gold blonde), and as you can imagine, my hair's been thoroughly damaged and basically lost a great amount of strands due to breakage. I tried leaving my hair untouched for 8 months before crossing path with Allen this time. He's done an absolutely wonderful job blending the grown out and previously damaged areas. The level of attention to details was unseen of and with my hair still felt very soft and healthy after the process. He was also mindful that I am going through a recovery phase and will want to have minimal maintenance/retouch done for at least another half a year or say up to 1 year, if possible. So he designed a look for me that should allow the grow out period to look seamless. Thank you again Allen! I am absolutely grateful for the care you took for my hair! read more

I was looking for a stylist who was not charging over $100 especially for my hair. I just wanted a clean cut and was overdue for what seemed more than a simple trim. He only charged $65 but was located in Irvine. Located inside the Sola salon, his room was simple. Allen did his thing by chopping off a good length without even asking me lol but I did not mind because I knew my ends had to be chopped off. His cutting style and technique is different from what I've seen. It is very to the point and will give you a clean look. I am hoping that this will grow out nicely because that's when you know that they have done a phenomenal job. Overall, if you are looking for a conservative haircut, go to Allen. Allen is an exceptionally talented hair colorist and I am so happy with the results of my hair. He added airtouch highlights and bayalage and blended it so that it has a more natural look rather than just dyed hair. My usual hair girl moved out of state so I had to find someone else to do my balayages. I came across this page and decided to give it a shot due to the high rating. MOC Hair Studio is in the same plaza as 99 Ranch Market and there is a ton of parking here which is nice. I was a little confused where it was at first but realized that it was located inside of Sola Salon Studios, which is a bunch of studios of hairdressers. Allen is the hairdresser of MOC. I got an ash blond balayage and a cut and he did an amazing job. The whole process took about 5 hours. He had given me money pieces but I did not really like them on me since they were way too light and ash gray. I texted him the next day and he responded back right away. He's usually closed on Sundays but he was sweet enough to meet me at his studio to fix it. Thank you so much Allen for your exceptional service and I cannot wait to come back! read more

It's so nice to see the salon decorated for the holiday with the Christmas tree filled with teddy bears, adds to the warm ambiance. I was greeted by the front desk and they offered me a complimentary drink. I had a hazelnut coffee. Everything is so well done from start to finish, the experience is one all on its own. I also got some hair products that Angela introduced me to and gave me samples the first time I was here. I bought Innersense products for 20% in their Black Friday sale. I ordered them online and set them for pick up. Angela freshened up my hair and she noticed an improvement in my wavy hair and that's really all due to the tips she gave me when she did the curly haircut. She took her time in cutting the bangs and even styled it. She's so sweet and enjoys talking to you while you're in the chair. She's also very good at cutting wavy hair (hard to find someone who can do this well). Limon Salon just got voted the Best Salon in the Silicon Valley, and you can see why! Even though it took me 30 minutes to drive here in bad Bay Area traffic, it was worth it! I already scheduled my next curly haircut for the new year.

After my bestie had been going to esther for 7 years i jumped on the curly hair bandwagon last year…read moreand here i am for perm #2. the last year has been fun styling the first perm she gave and i loved it as it grew in and i even got two trims throughout the year. i love that my hair is allowed to have digital perm (hair-health wise) & it doesn't smell bad! after my appointment i came straight to work and this is the shot after esther styled it! in the after care i'll avoid getting it wet for 2 days and the hardest part is not touching it! but i flip my hair so i'll just try to keep it in ringlet twirls as much as possible! one thing different from my first perm was that my hair was much longer prior to this appt today, and still it sprang up! it's still long so i'm glad i grew it, and looking forward to styling this do once the 48 hr no wash time passes! highly recommend esther even with her wait list!! you can upkeep with deep conditioning your hair while looking forward to the appt (like i did!) the 3 hour appt was enjoyable, she is personable and so knowledgeable, in fact the appt was over earlier than i expected, a total timely professional! thank you esther!

I love that is super low maintenance and it just makes me feel confident with my hair style. Esther is very good at what she does. The 2-3 month wait list speaks for itself. She doesn't like to take any new clients without an initial consultation. This way she saves you time. She is very honest about if the digital perm will be a good fit for your hair type or not. I am 100% satisfied with my experience!

Yeye is very good at giving her honest opinion so.. don't come if you're not ready for honesty. She showed me colors I look best in, as well as colors that are not my best. At first I thought the analysis would only include color draping but she truly went above and beyond. She even told me what hairstyles would suit my face shape best, and what hair colors to go for. The whole process was thorough -- she even did an analysis of my makeup and was determined to find a lip shade that suited my complexion, which is something even I have been struggling with since I started wearing makeup. Yeye also gave me clothing recommendations such as neckline styles that would suit me. The experience felt personalized and I have incorporated her advice into my shopping habits even months later. After our appointment she sent me home with a bunch of style guides along with outfit and hair inspo. I truly feel she has helped me elevate my style this year. I shopped according to my color season and I feel a lot more confident in my personal style. After having blonde hair for so long she convinced me to go brunette and I have no regrets.
