It's all understated so it doesn't look like a busy shopping center. The C-store and bait and rental places are near the street so there's no disturbance to customers. Keep reading for a review of the restaurant. We RV and have been stopping at Bob's for several years. We camp overnight, generally, as we are just passing thru. This is a small campground with some seasonal people. It's purpose is primarily fishing. Several people bring their RV and their boats. We don't fish but we LOVE this place. It's quiet and pretty scenic. It's on a bluff above the Missouri River. The sunsets are gorgeous! I haven't seen a sunrise because I don't fish... The restaurant is amazing. I've had lots of menu items over the last 5 years, but this time I had the walleye. It was the absolutely best walleye I've ever had. it was moist and juicy and served hot. The garlic mashers are a perfect accompaniment. Hubs had the same this time and we agreed it was stellar. We have had their ribs and burgers and other steaks. All were perfectly done over the years. And the servings are huge. It's family run, and the service was excellent, as it has always been. We would go out of our way for a night at Bob's. You should too! Great satellite and star watching with the huge sky. TIP: it's right on a cell border, so you may have trouble with your cell's time zone. Our cell said it was 4:30 and they open at 5:00 so we thought we had to wait. When we got there, people were finishing up and we were confused. Turned out our cells had changed the time zone early and it was actually 6:00! It did give us a good laugh tho. Apologies! In my 40+ years of business travel, I have never witnessed such a stunning combination of arrogance, condescension, indifference and tone deafness. Three generations in my family participated and everyone shot birds and we had limits all three days. The guides were great and worked their dogs. If it weren't for the dogs we would not have found all the birds in the corn, maize, tree lines, habitat and grass. Beautiful birds. Fun shooting and safety was first and foremost an important subject. And no problems arose.

The Lindskov ranchland holdings are vast, though the hunting is confined to certain acreage with designated crops cultivated to support the upland game hunting. Wild pheasant, sharptail grouse, and Hungarian partridge are the wingshooter's forray. Plenty of shooting. Plenty. Currently, it's 5 birds per day; 15 birds per trip is included in the standard package; any shooting over this has the usual overage charge. Taken birds are cleaned, vacuum-wrapped, and frozen for the trip home. For me (a 3-season veteran) the BEST part of Firesteel Creek Lodge is their crew of guides and their dogs. I hunt all over America and down in Argentina. I consider the professional guides and dogs of Firesteel Creek Lodge to be the "Top of the Heap" -- the very best. Why? -- First, the guides are keenly concerned with guest safety, and if you've hunted for a number of years, you know that shotgun hunting accidents can happen. This crew ensures that risks are kept at a minimium, and that everyone goes home safe and sound. Second, the dogs are energetic and disciplined -- they hold and let you shoot; they don't chase after the arisen birds and block your shots. Not all wingshooting resorts can say that.
