Today is 10-18-2025 some time between 3:45 and 4 Pm I came filled my tank with gas, went inside to…read moreexchange a scratch ticket, said hi how are to the lady, didn't even answer me. I handed the ticket, she said with attitude " NEXT TIME YOU COME HERE YOU SCRATCH THE BOTTOM OF THE TICKET." I said that I don't usually do that because some places they say not to scratch it. She went again in a rude manner "WELL HERE YOU HAVE TO." I started to say, well they should organize that because that is confusing to me. Rudely again she cut me off with " HAVE A GOOD DAY." I said don't do that to people you are being rude for no reason. Then someone that didn't have anything to do with, didn't even hear even half of what was going, imposed for me to leave the store. Not only she made me extremely uncomfortable for no reason, didn't care of anything I was saying, she could easily cause a fight for no reason at all. Now my question is: Is she working there for free? Wouldn't he easier just to scratch the ticket or be polite about it? After all I am paying customer don't I have the right to talk? To ask questions? Do give suggestions? Very very rude definitely I don't recommend anyone to go there unless you would like this type of treatment.

I came to this Petroil station specifically because the station where I usually get gas - about 2…read moremiles south - had a line and I didn't want to wait. I remembered that their advertised price was only 4 cents a gallon more. Well... that's true, if you are paying cash, and it does say "Cash" in slightly smaller letters on the sign. If you wanted to pay by credit card, it was an additional 6 cents more per gallon today. Gas-comparison websites do indicate this too. This price is actually competitive for the immediate vicinity. But if you are driving south, you will see less expensive gas prices towards and through Wilmington. On the other hand, the gas prices here are actually better than they were when it was previously a Shell station. It took an unusually long time for my credit card to be processed at the pump, something like 30-45 seconds. I don't know what's normal. When paying at the pump, you will also be asked if you want a car wash. It's possible you may get a discount on a car wash if buying gas, I don't know. This station also has an air hose - don't know if it's free. The convenience mart is fairly large, but it IS a convenience mart. On the plus side, you get convenience store hours. On the minus side, you pay a bit more for some items than you would at nearby grocery stores.

She counted my cash like 4 times and kept saying "twenty dollars". Not sure what's up with her, but not definitely some mental health issues. It took forever just to get my ticket. Not a good idea to put someone in this condition in a position of working with customers, it creeped me out and I won't be back.

The fuel I put in was so bad that I started stalling almost as soon as I pulled out of their lot, and for the first time the CHECK ENGINE light went on in my car. Their gas is cheap because it's full of *water* or whatever bad quality gas gets "watered down" with. In this case, a trip to the auto parts store and some dry gas additive saved the day--but saving a few cents isn't worth listening to your car sputter and die.
