I've been going to this gas station for the past eight years since I moved here, and I've never had…read morean issue with any of the attendants. Today, however, was a different story. I pulled up to the pump with my gas tank on the opposite side -- something I've done before at other stations without any problems. A man came over, looked at my car, and walked away without saying a word. Five minutes later, he returned and told me he couldn't fill my tank because the pump hose wasn't long enough. I asked him why he didn't tell me that five minutes ago when he first looked at my car. His response? "Well, if you saw me, you should've moved." But how was I supposed to know if he never said anything? I moved my car to the other side, and when he asked what I needed, I told him how I wanted my tank filled. Then I asked for his name. He said, "I'm Barry," which means he's the owner. I told him, "With a name like 'Friendly Barry's,' this wasn't very friendly." It's a shame -- the other employees have always been so nice. Unfortunately, Barry's attitude ruined it, and this will be the last time my family or I go there.

United Gas is a full service station, with excellent self serve prices (attendant pumps gas). Excellent, fast, service. Great value for the gas, and service. Their prices were cheaper than most gas stations on the Cape. The only gas station that pumps the gas for you, as far as I have seen. The gas is very good quality. The gas lasted for the entire trip back to Lower Manhattan, and did not run out of gas for an entire week after driving 5 hours, with numerous stops. Definitely check out this hidden gem. Like most places on the Cape, it probably close early (7am-5:30pm).

The response from there claims department "no one else complained about it. I have been putting my own gas in for years and that has never happened, I was not sitting in my car, the rubber boot that is supposed to stop gas from spraying was all the way up the nozel and deteriorated.. I bet if I was wearing a three piece suit driving an expensive car I'm sure it would have been taken seriously.
