I usually stop every morning for a cup of coffee, and am usually greeted by staff soon as you walk in. Mr. Willie is one of the nicest people that works there, great addition to Exxon. I can honestly say that Mr. Willie is the only reason that I kept coming back tot his location. He is friendly and will always as how everything is doing, and if you need to talk he always has a open ear and is more than willing to give some advice if he can. I buy a scratch off lotto ticket frequently and I told him that when I win I am going to give him a cut! The area might be a bit sketchy if you're not from around here, but just walk on in and be treated like you have been visiting for years!

It's cheaper than a lot of the gas stations in town, and the only reason it doesn't get really busy is because it's next door to a Murphy USA which is usually 10 cents cheaper. It's the same for all the gas stations around here, they're cheap but not as cheap as M USA, and still there's some of the cheapest stations in Houston but they happen to be right next to the cheapest Murphy in Houston and that's why I hardly use the pumps here, but I have used it a few times. It's also right next to one of my favorite bakeries and when Murphy was down or closed or whatever, too busy perhaps, I have used it and it has been great each time I used it.

This place is your average Shell gas station in the daytime. Once it gets darker and later this place becomes very sketchy. Once it's nighttime, you will be bombarded by homeless people begging for money and from what I've observed it's the same people everyday begging there. Apparently it gets bad enough to where around midnight, the clerk has to lock the door and if you want something inside the convenience store, you have to talk to him through this window and you will pay and get your goods through there as well.

That being said, the gas is the best price around for quite a distance, the store is always stocked and clean, and the cashiers are nice and do their job well. BUT. They are people just like the rest of us and they have to deal with situations and people on the daily that a good percent of Houstonians wouldn't be able to handle and would quit before their first week was over. So if the line is long, maybe instead of being an A-hole to the cashiers and causing a scene that only makes YOU look bad, try to reflect. Maybe you should have left the house 10 minutes earlier so you wouldn't be late. Maybe you don't actually need the gas station snacks since you're already late anyways. Also, if you're done pumping your gas. MOVE your car! Lastly, that just barely car sized spot in between the pumps and the building...that's not a parking spot.
