We were staying in the Altmark, there was a direct tram to Pillnitz. It took us around 30-40 mins. After got off the tram we still needed to got and the boat to the other side of of the place. Luckily we got the day ticket. So didn't have to spent extra money just for the small trip. the boat trip took about just 2 mins to the side. After we got off from the boat, it took another 5 mins on foot. Then we arrived the schloss Pillnitz. We walked around the castle, I already amazed by the architecture from outside. It didn't took long, we found the entrance. The entrance fee was cheaper than I expected. Also got of map from there. Inside this place, it was really beautiful. I was totally impressed by it. The castle looked really different compared with the others I have visited so far. As I looked at the style of architecture here, some Asian style out it this. On the wall, I could see this place has a close relation with aisa back then. For the inside museum, need to pay extra for entance. Of couse if your ticket already included then you don't have to. We also visited the greenhouse inside. Quite nice and peaceful. When we were there, the were a pianist playing some classic at the background. It was really a plus point for our journey. We had great time there just explored around this place. It's really beautiful and cultural. At the end we spent almost two hours there. I think, this is one of the place must visit in Dresden. Brilliant!

A good example is the European Centre for Dance in Hellerau. It has a long tradition which was interrupted in the Nazi era and in the GDR. Very nice for not English-speaking tourists, because here is spoken even empowers or in English.

We've been to Rosi's in a large group on a Thursday. Theme of the night: Rockabilly. Interestingly…read moremany guests take this serious and came quiet nicely dressed up; also the bar staff fittet the theme well. Overall a nice place and good mood, music was more-or-less-rockabilly then, always accompanied by the matching 60s to 90s videos on screen :D Nice central large bar. I wasn't so amused when I found out they charge more than what is shown in the drink list. Mentioning "hey, this drink is 4,90 in the list" was answered with a sulky "and it's 5,10 on the cash register". I doubt that this was part of the "Rock" theme and thus considered it to be "not my service level" then :-/ Kicker tables etc. are available, and so are (a bit more silent) separees, so overall: yeah, you can go there. Just I probably wouldn't go a second time...
