If you are hiking, don't make the mistake of stopping at Merano Huette -- keep going on to the Mittager! The Mittager is an amazing place for lunch, dinner, and staying over. The views are amazing, the food is excellent, and the hosts (the owner/manager as well as the chef and server) are spectacular. In terms of the E-5, we found nothing comparable: clean, welcoming, excellent. Don't miss! read more

Besides enjoying the gorgious views off the terrasse, stopping at Mittager Hütte is a must, just to meet friendly staff and taste the best tyrolian food, including an incredible pancake type desert, warmly brought in a frying pan, sprinkled with icing-sugar and served with the best apple puree we ever had! read more
