I've lived in the Green Meadows Apartments for about a year…read more -The apartments are clean, quiet, and have much better construction than the cheap materials they use @ many college housing developments around Columbia. (For example, better quality windows, flooring, cabinets, faucets). -I rarely see my neighbors but when I do they are friendly. Many are students or young professionals. You can hear noise in the hallways/stairwell but not in the apartment itself. -There is TONS of storage space. I have a lot of cookware and bakeware and there is plenty of space in the cabinets. The stoves are easy to clean and use gas, which are much better if you are a serious cook. -My walk in closet is huge. There is plenty of room and shelving for storage, not just for clothes. I can even some small furniture/bookshelves/desks in the closet. -Great location. Tons of restaurants nearby and bars (Murry's, Taphouse) and Hyvee is right across the street. Takes me about 5 minutes to drive to downtown. -There is a security entrance where you must enter a code to get in the building. The neighborhood itself is very safe.. Green Meadows road is a great family friendly area. I regularly take walks at night on the main road. Overall a very ideal and safe living situation for a younger female living alone. -The apartment manager (Twila) is extremely professional, friendly, and resolves issues very quickly. She has been a pleasure to work with. She checks her email constantly and notifies tenants of inspections or any news by email. Utilities and internet/cable are included in your rent so paying your bill is extremely simple. Much easier to budget. Really the only drawback I have found living here is the lack of an in-unit washer/dryer. I take clothes to the neighboring Lilypad Laundry (a very nice laundromat) but obviously it would be more convenient to have them in the apartment.. other than that this place has been perfect for me. I would live here longer but I am moving out of state!

Seems like a nice gig if you can get it.Will this posting change anything? Nope. Will it make me feel better? Yep. I told my daughter that some things are just life lessons but if I can get the endorsement of the local paper maybe I can save alot of money for those in the future.

No fleas for a year and half since leaving, even though they are beagles who explore the woods. When I found a house they refused to allow me to buy out, subleasing was expressly forbidden, in a city with a housing shortage so it would have been easy to fill. I shut off autopay in December 2024, because naturally my house was now my priority. When I went to pay the rent in January 2025, it was already paid because they repopulated my information. They never told us that the control to the unit was in the other apartment. You have no control over the temperature in the apartment. Plus the air kept going out, over and over. They would send out a crew if it was during 9-5 Monday - Friday and no holiday. Well when you work you usually don't get home until after 5 to notice the air isn't working. I can't count how many weekends he went with doors open and box fans going. They would only bandaid the unit and as soon as a warm spell came, it would go out again. We paid $750 a month to rent this place. It wasn't cheap. Be warned if you rent the place on Willis that you better be cold natured.

When they first came to my home after taking over for an initial inspection, they had several random people lounging all over my furniture. After that, any maintenance requests took forever to get completed because they have so many properties. I had to wait over 3 months to get my broken garage door fixed and when i had a concern about mold in my upstairs bathroom I was basically told too bad and had to wait about a month for someone to come look at it. On the flip side, when I was moving out they wasted no time in coming out to put a lock box on my door (funny how they were able to get that done so quickly!). This company is greedy and does not care about their tenants in any fashion. I would avoid renting from this group at all costs.

All of the appliances were very well kept and cleaned, all the utilities are included with rent - don't have to keep track of a bunch of different bills. My neighbors have all been very quiet and very friendly, seems to be mostly young business professionals/graduates/young families. The biggest reason to rent here- other than location/quality - is the property management. The maintenance staff are on call 24-7 if there is ever an emergency, and the property managers are extremely helpful and understanding in every situation I've been in.
