He was great at first and recommended a solution, and the moment I paid him everything went to hell. What was supposed to take "a few weeks" took 6 months, was done incorrectly, and I had to contact a second attorney to contact him to provide the services I had paid for. He made errors in our wills, he forgot numerous times about meetings with my family to sign documents (wasting two hours round trip driving), gave possibly 15 promises in email regarding when I would have documents, and every one of them were broken. At some point he stated that my documents had been sent but did not receive tracking information.....they are considered "Lost by the post office" to him so God knows if he actually sent them out and someone has my estate planning, or if he just gave me one more BS excuse. I am currently paying someone else to undo some of the work Howard did and correct it. The new practice stated he used cookie cutter templates that did not even speak to IL laws correctly. He is unorganized and has no customer service skills. I wouldn't recommend him for anything.

A 3-4min argument between parties turned into a false OP entered against me. Basically these hideous people went to the domestic courts & falsely claimed I threatened to kill them & wait for them every night with guns & knives!? Judge Sandoval whose signature is all over these OPs doesn't care other than to sign an OP for another date!? After having it dismissed twice & last time with prejudice + having 3 hearings delayed for bogus reasons, we even had witnesses ready to testify & all! Finally, received a new judge! Afterwards I received my final hearing! Mr. Blum made these horrid neighbors look like clowns, they were dispruptive & basically lied about everything except their names& address! Even though my witness was not able to testify due to WiFi issues! OP was finally vacated after almost 2yrs! If I didn't have surveillance & Mr. Blum rip their lies apart & show videos to the courts, I'd be S.O.L. right now with all my permits being revoked because of slanderous neighbors! Will get those transcripts too, our association will be interested in what those people lied about. Through the whole process Mr. Blum was communicative, informative, punctual & knew what to expect with my cases (he handled three at time between same parties) + how it affects my permits & stuff! I know I'll have to call Mr. Blum again because these people won't relent & use their ties to the city to harass, threaten & vandalize! In July I was blindsided by my new…read moreemployer with a wage garnishment summons from a default judgment from almost 7 years ago that was brought back to life. I had no idea where this debate had come from, so I instantly reached out to lawyers that could give me insight on what my options were. The first one said it was a default judgment and there was nothing I could do to fight it. The second one said he could help me out and then never returned any of my calls. It wasn't till I reached out to an old high school friend that I knew was from a family of lawyers that I found Alexander Blum. My friend referred me and insured me that Alexander would be able to put me on the right path to getting this taken care of. From the second I spoke to Alexander I knew it wasn't his first rodeo. He was vastly more knowledgeable then the previous two lawyers I had spoken with. More importantly he had this humility about him, this sense of empathy that's rarely associated with Lawyers. He literally coached me up the weekend before my court date after reviewing all my paperwork and set me up to succeed without me even hiring him for the case. He even reached out to the plaintiff and found out what I was walking into. The case was continued and was set for a hearing 30 days later. Something in my gut just told me that Alexander was the person to help me out of this situation so I hired him shortly after. From there he systematically and flawlessly found every hole in the plaintiffs case. I thought for sure I'd have to at least settle for a discounted amount in order to resolve this before the next court date. However, Alexander insisted I pay nothing due to his research of the case. I took a leap of faith and followed Alexander lead. Today I'm happy to say that my default judgment was vacated and dismissed. I'm so grateful for Alexander services and even more grateful for our lives crosses paths; for not just getting an amazing lawyer for life, but also a friend.
