But I found myself distracted much of the time by the constant light coming into the venue from opening and closing of doors right next to our seats, the door being cracked open which allowed every sound of a passing car, motorcycle, or group of people to be heard by us inside, and the slightly unprofessional staff. When I first entered, I thought I had maybe been scammed. Luckily, this was not the case, but it does reflect the quality of the experience.

I really appreciate that because sometimes you take art classes and the instructor covers in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable. This was not the case at all, she was there to help with any questions I had, and support me and whatever I wanted to make. It was so much fun and I think I may be addicted to making glass now. I start a group class in a week and I'm looking really really forward to.

i heard about oko designs on instagram and have been wanting to try stained glass. angie, the…read moreowner, is very knowledgeable and great at teaching. when i went for the daisy workshop, there were other workshops happening concurrently so angie was going around teaching essentially the same skills but for different final products (daisy or photobooth). i wish i got a bit more instructor supervision as there were about 20-30 people that day, but i'm still very happy i got to try stained glass and make a piece! i highly recommend checking out oko designs if you're wanting to dabble in stained glass. a workshop is a perfect afternoon activity with friends or even for a date!

I knew absolutely nothing going in, but Angie was an incredible instructor and took time with each of us to answer questions and help us with the techniques. I've never been very artistic, but this class actually felt approachable and fun even at my skill level, and I can see it being even more rewarding once you gained more experience. The owner is super knowledgeable and friendly and can help you as much as you want or as much as you need (and I needed some major help at the end).
