The garlic bread was terrible it was over cooked and dripping in oil just too much. You had to go and get your own cutlery as there was no table service. But there is a gorgeous patio that my friends and I decide to sit on and have a drink. We ordered one entrée, fish and chips, that we shared amongst three of us and it was delicious! There was some live music which blew my mind while we were there. We each had one drink, It was a ginger beer alcoholic drink, and OMG I loved it. To order food or drinks you need to stand in line and get a number and it will be brought to your table we got lucky in order before the place got too crowded. They are mostly aboriginal images and landscapes - done in a wonderful and unique way that screams 'home on the South Coast of NSW'. To me they had a special type of charisma - done by a local indigenous artist. They each have a unmistakable technique to them which may not be sophisticated - but is certainly appealing (to me anyway). At one stage his art was used on a phone card/pass for the Sydney Olympics in 2000. It seemed like this guy was going to crack the big time! I believe he has since passed on. I think he was quite prolific as well - there were always about a dozen of his paintings for sale in the gallery at any one time when I would check in (every 2 or 3 months back then). I think I was lucky to get what I got - I am sure others also share a delight in his work. If anyone is interested can post some images of what I have.. With al the fresh produce that abounds in our region it seems strange that a club of this standing could not make more of an effort to produce reasonably good food instead of all the frozen rubish that is so common these days. Most people don't mind paying a bit extra for quality. For a Sat night the club was noticeably empty, Icant help but wonder why.

I saw one I was particularly interested in and approached the staff regarding where I could possibly obtain a copy. No sooner had I asked were they offering to scan the image for me. I ended up being allowed to take the picture to a local copying business. Thank you so much to Carol, Grant and another lovely young lady who were so kind and trusting. I've never been to another pub or restaurant where the staff were so friendly and kind. Thanks again
