The service is great, prices are reasonable, I only paid $15 for the second best wash, vacuums are free with a wash, but you can pay to use them separately. Each wash comes with an air freshener if you'd like. They have four bays for vacuums I believe. Note this is a small business, please be patient when waiting for service, it is worth the wait to support local. Plus, they have amazing artwork as you enter the wash

They claim it was nothing their machine did. I can't imagine how this damage possibly could have been done by any other means. UPDATE since they responded to contact them: I had already been in contact and escalated to a general manager. He had me come through, and ran my car through the wash while he watched. He told me he didn't see anything damaging the car (I certainly wouldn't expect it to do it every time? But clearly the brushes were contaminated or something when I ran it through previously.) He would only say "the machine is designed not to damage cars" (well I would certainly hope so!) and that this "doesn't normally happen" (again I wouldn't expect it to happen frequently, but it DID happen) he offered me $100 claiming I could get paint correction for ~$150-200 (false) Avoid this place if you like your paint unscratched.

During the washing process, I heard a loud ripping noise. After inspecting my car, I discovered my entire rear spoiler panel GONE FROM MY CAR. I immediately filled out an incident report and they found and returned the panel to me stating they would contact me in a week about making it right. Today I received the email stating that they would NOT be making it right and that it was somehow my cars fault that their washer ripped it off!!!! I guarantee you that my spoiler would still be on and working if I had not gone through their carwash. Don't support a company that doesn't take responsibility to make things right after damaging a car!!! Pass the word along!!! Latest update: I called the number the business manager put in their response to my negative review. Guess what???? They told me they most certainly NOT NOT NOT help me get it put back on or they would NOT NOT NOT make the damage to my car right!!! They said "sue us if you'd like, we will NOT NOT NOT change our mind and make what we did right!!!" Avoiding bad rust on our car has always been a top top priority in winter, and finding a thorough well priced car wash with a great staff was number one. I always start with Yelp reading many many many reviews 1-2 hours, going way back reading reviews for companies I like is essential. Yes a LOT of work but well worth it. I decided upon North Star Car Wash (about 25 minutes from home) because of the 12 reviews/ all 5 stars/ emphasis upon " great thorough hand wash" and "great value ( Deluxe wash $20)". 1.Right off 694 and not far from 35W. VERY easy commute. 2. Appears like a small family Hispanic operation of EXTREMELY hard hard fast thorough workers 3. Starts with a high pressure soap blaster handled by the female owner along with a fellow furiously scrubbing the car with a long handled soap dispensing 12 inch wide brush. 4. You remain in the car Neutral, and the top massive huge moving brush/ mop ( with wide thick fabric pieces) most thoroughly scrubs the car top and top sides ( rare in car washes) while side brushes simultaneously hit the car sides. Very GOOD scrub. 5. Next I liked the thorough rinse then the MANY powerful air blasters ( more than normal) drying the car 6. Two fellows at the end RAPIDLY and so thoroughly hand wiped the car dry. 7. I was MOST thrilled by the TOP quality rare beautiful wax shine on my car. With a black car, I have always always sought out top quality wax for my car. Very excellent!! The entire staff kept up a consistent very high level of intense energy/ super hard efforts working on my car. They definitely go home each night wiped out! GREAT GREAT job, truly excellent rare wash. I shall be a new intensely loyal customer for years to come!!
