Affordable and delicious! Highly recommend the mango fried rice. Banh mi is only $6. Service is very quick and the waiter was so attentive and nice. The Vietnamese coffee was so good. Also recommend the durian dessert. Such an excellent variety of food!

This place is insane. Maybe I'm just used to Boston pricing, but dang it's cheap... and large portions... and the food is tasty. What a rare find! If you really want the best deal, come for the lunch special. I got so excited that I ordered both a banh mi and a pho dish. The service was great and my friend and I sat around for a while, without feeling rushed out. Definitely a casual spot and I could see lots of college students coming here during the school year. Hands down, highly recommend!

Authentic Vietnamese food in a quaint, cozy setting. One of a handful of Asian restaurants in downtown Amherst, it absolutely belongs amongst the top of list. When we visited on a Friday afternoon, the dining room was packed. We thought 2:00 was going to be not so packed. We were pleasantly surprised. Goes to show just how great this place is. Despite the crowd, our food came out in minutes. So fast. And it was so good. Highly recommend.

I really like the bowls and decor here, it's really cute. The pho itself was good. It did have a little bit of and "off" taste. It wasn't gamey but tasted/smelled a tiny bit like dirty dishwater? I'm not sure if it was just me and my boyfriend but we felt that way. Even so I enjoyed my meal here. We also got a cubed beef dish with vegetables that was tasty. Service was quick and friendly.

I come here almost every week. The broth is the most delicious liquid gold you'll experience in Western Mass! I come here to have a full meal within 20 minutes; they're super fast and attentive. It's always busy, especially during this time of year, but you will always get a seat and served quickly. Get the pho and some boba- you won't leave disappointed!! Such a calm and relaxing experience even when eating alone, or with a group. It's very cheap too! Great prices for great food = great review :)

Very good Vietnamese cuisine and a solid fix for pho! I was admittedly not expecting it to be so good, but what a nice surprise. We started off with some spring rolls (fresh shrimp, crisp vegetables, very tasty) and beef samosas (not too spicy but flavorful), then moved on to: shrimp and chicken Vietnamese-style pad thai (also very flavorful and colorful); Miss Saigon pho (a mixture of beef cuts and tripe - good tasty broth); and a vegetarian pho (which my wife said was the best tasting veggie broth she's had in a long while). Definitely will come back to try their other offerings (especially their duck dishes!). Service was also prompt and pleasant.

When I go hiking at Amherst. I grab a bite eat here. My faves are the first Pho on the list. Pork Chop platter and Fresh Spring Rolls. Very yummy.

No complaints. Was sat in a busy area, but who can blame them when everyone wants delicious food! Ordered a starter of steamed chicken dumplings and oo la la! Best dumps that have ever crossed my path. Entrees included chicken and beef pho noodle bowls. Three words to describe my meal? Homey. Hearty. Delicious. 5 stars all around

Miss Saigon will always be an eternal 10/10 for me. Not only is their food delicious, their portions are spectacular, their staff is ever-patient and friendly. They are extremely clean and neat. And they make every dining experience unforgettable, I highly recommend Miss Saigon to any travelers or locals in the Amherst/Western Massachusetts region. Did I mention how affordable their menu items are???

We've been to a lot of the restaurants in Northampton and decided to jump over to Amherst to try a new to me restaurant. This was a cold and damp afternoon, only a day after a snow storm. Mom was excited to order her Tofu Bahn Mi, but I was really looking forward to a big bowl of hot Chicken Pho and a Summer Roll. Our friend tried the Rice Bowl with Steak and Shrimp and a Bao Bun which was delicious. My mom loved her sandwich. The bread alone was enough to make me decide that I must try one next time. My Pho broth was well flavored. The chicken pieces were slightly smaller than what I'm used to from other places, but there was plenty to enjoy. There was an adequate amount of noodles, basil, sprouts and jalapeños. My Summer Roll, while quite enjoyable, was a little difficult to eat. I'm used to having my roll cut in half and this was served whole. The wrapper started to fall apart at one point, but I made sure that I didn't lose anything. Our friend's bowl was good and filling and we were told that the bun was delicious,

We arrived and got seated at a table with a very nice curved window view. I can imagine being here on a rainy or snowy day and getting to be surrounded by the weather while not having to get wet. The service was friendly, if mostly absent, and fast. This place mostly loses stars on the food. We had: wonton soup, miso soup, scallion pancakes, crab rangoons, happy family, tangerine chicken, and asparagus and snap peas with shrimp. The wonton soup seemed to be a beef broth soup, interesting change up from any wonton soup I've had before, a little salty and good wontons. The miso soup was also a good miso. The crab rangoons were too sweet and the wrapper too thick, thus making it chewy, but at least you could tell there was something in there beyond just cream cheese. The hunt for good crab rangoons continues. The scallion pancakes were very thick, but at least not greasy. The sauce was punchy and pleasant. The asparagus and snap peas with shrimp was positioned as having a light flavor, and that was very accurate. Almost like they were steamed and then served, but you could see a sauce coating them. The happy family was coated in a brown sauce that didn't carry much flavor either, but nothing was wrong either. The tangerine chicken was listed as one spicy out of three, and I'm happy to report they understand spicy rating. While the broccoli was chopped a tad large, the chicken was cooked very well, and you got just some spice on the back end with sweet on the front. Overall, nothing here was bad, but it also came across and middling. If you asked me to write this review a couple days from now I feel I'd have trouble remembering anything about this place except the window seat. I am willing to try some of the other aspects of the menu some time in the future, but I'm not sending anyone running here either.

food - 6/10 service - 6/10…read more Came here for a lunch with some friends wanting to try a new thai place. I would say, if u you a thai place you already like, just stick with it. The place was cute, you go up to the counter to order once you're done looking through the menu on the table and after you're done with dishes there's a place to put them all as well. The place was pretty empty when we first came in and when we tried ordering you should just ring the bell right away cause even if they see u through the kitchen they will not come out. We ordered from the lunch menu and I really tried to justify the proportions with it being the lunch price but none of us got full. There was mostly just vegetables in the all the dishes specifically peppers and none of the spicy dishes had any spice flavor to them. We ordered the thai coffee but it only came after we finished our dishes after constant ask of where the drink was. The place did start to get busy but the waitress never really came to our table until we tried calling her over about our coffee. We ended up asking to put it in a togo cup since we already paid for it but the size difference between the togo and sit in cup was pretty noticeable.

I'm not used to it but I like it. I would say this is a hidden gem. so check it out.
