It is Montessori style which we love because it creates a very calm environment for the kids. Montessori means all educational toys, that are low stimulus (no lights, sounds and limited plastic), and lots of functional learning toys like pitcher's with water and little cups to practice life skills. My daughter has been there for over a year now and she only cried one day at drop off when it was her last day before summer! She was so sad she couldn't go all summer long! They have a HUGE outdoor play space with a tricycle track and play houses and they even have rainboots so the kids can play outside even on rainy days if it isn't too wet. My daughter tells me everyday that she played outside and she loves circle time before lunch where they read and sing songs together. My favorite thing about this school is the instructors, they are SOO patient, kind, and gentle with the kids. I've seen how they respond to kids throwing a fit or having a meltdown and it is with love, hugs, and respect. I have never seen any of their instructors yell, or punish a child they just gently remind the kids of the rules. And they have a great ratio of kids to instructors usually around 6-8 kids per teacher. If you are looking for childcare with an emphasis on learning this is definitely the place for you! And i believe there are four spots open because a few kids graduated into kindergarten this year! I will let you know the interior is a little run down because it is an older facility but it is always clean and tidy, and it is one of the most affordable options. Also they work with the kids on writing and learning letters and letter sounds so I know my daughter will be ready for kindergarten in two years if not reading before then. Can't say enough great things about their learning/teaching philosophy. I worked in childcare for a few years and I know the most important thing is teachers who love the kids they work with and will treat them as individuals and with kindness, and you get exactly that at Pegasus. PS. Plus they have a fish tank which my daughter loves, and birds that visit from time to time that are pretty cool!

She said she was no longer watching infants, but my child is 18 months old and is a toddler. She closes MANY days and even takes a vacation and requires you to pay. When the school districts close for weather she closed with little to no notice, despite not being anywhere near flooding or having any loss of electricity. Don't send your children here. She is rude and condescending. Heather her adult daughter was always sweet and my daughter will miss her. I will gladly never see Barbara's bitter scowl again.

Barbara and Heather are simply amazing, from the love and care they give the children to the wonderful program they run, we always knew our girls were taken care of and in good hands. They did so many fun activities and art projects that fostered creativity and curiosity while also learning academic fundamentals, and often participated in gardening and outdoor activities. In the 10 years we spent with them, not once did they close their doors for a personal "sick day" or change their hours.
