That is why this review belongs here. A dispute at one park followed us to another and disrupted the celebration we had paid for. We had been Disney annual passholders for over five years and had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with the company. This trip was my graduation gift to Yasmine and her three friends: a week at Myrtle Beach followed by a week at Disney. The original dispute began at Animal Kingdom when a ride was down as we tried to use our paid Lightning Lane access. I asked for a replacement pass. The interaction escalated into residency questions after I mentioned we had flown in. We had flown from Myrtle Beach as part of this two-state graduation trip and had one-way plane tickets documenting the journey. Then we were stopped at Epcot because of Tyler's note. Other members of our group were subsequently cleared after providing documentation. Yasmine remained blocked. She had turned 18 less than 30 days earlier and had been an annual passholder with us for years. I accepted that turning 18 meant she could be required to provide her own residency proof. What I challenged was why she had to provide a Florida-issued ID when the other seven members of our group were cleared without one, and Disney's website lists alternative residency documents. During this ordeal, Yasmine and her friends were made to sit outside in the heat for three hours. Later that day, they passed out and became severely ill after that prolonged heat exposure. Disney wanted approximately $500 for Yasmine to enter for two days. This was supposed to be a celebration of their graduation. These are the memories we were left with instead. I escalated our complaint. On October 5, Rick from Executive Correspondence called. When I asked about the different documentation requirement, he said Disney had the right to ask. He told me the website required one of three Florida IDs. I read him the provision allowing alternative proof of residency. He said he was looking at the website and did not see what I was seeing. He repeatedly disagreed that we had been discriminated against and refused compensation or a refund. I still did not receive a specific explanation of why Yasmine's documents were insufficient under the published alternatives. We canceled. You do not have to be a Florida resident to care about how a company handles a family's problem. Consider how you would feel arriving at another park and finding that an earlier dispute now prevented entry, then discovering that even an executive escalation could not get you a clear explanation. Our experience left me feeling that Disney was more concerned with keeping our money than meaningfully addressing what happened. After years of loyalty, I no longer trust it with our family's celebrations or vacation budget.

This park also has the only remaining Broadway-like quality show: Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage. The singing, dancing, choreography, and music were all Broadway-like and fantastic! Everything feels very "crammed" together--tight, crowded, and packed in. Add the long lines and the lack of shade in this particular park, and at times it can feel almost unbearable. That being said, it's still Disney, and there's really nothing that can compete with that. Personally, I highly recommend Tower of Terror, one of my favorite rides, and the newly revamped Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, now themed to the Muppets. And for Star Wars fans, the Star Wars area is simply incomparable. You really feel like you've been dropped right into the movies. Toy Story Land is a must with little ones, although I still feel like something is missing there. Maybe it's just me... We'll see what happens when the long-awaited Monsters, Inc. area finally opens. As always, my recommendation is to bring your own snacks and something to eat, because food inside the parks is ridiculously expensive. And definitely bring a refillable water bottle! There are several water stations throughout the park with bottle-filling taps, so you can easily refill it instead of buying.

Slinky Dog Dash is the anchor attraction and delivered as a family coaster that works for a wide range of ages. It is smooth, fast enough to feel exciting, and the Toy Story theming throughout the track layout is well integrated. Wait times regularly stretch past an hour, so prioritizing it early in the day or using Lightning Lane is the practical move. Toy Story Mania is an interactive 4D shooting game that holds up across multiple rides and was genuinely competitive and fun for my group. Alien Swirling Saucers is the gentler option that skews younger, but it is an easy yes for anyone who does not mind spinning. Woody's Lunch Box is worth building a meal or snack stop around. The totchos and grilled cheese are the items that keep coming up for good reason, and the Lunch Box Tarts are worth grabbing for dessert if I want something to eat while I keep moving through the land. The one consistent practical note is that the area has very little shade and gets genuinely hot during the middle of the day. Coming in during the early morning or staying into the evening is the right call. At night the land takes on a different quality with the lighting, and it is worth lingering in if my park day extends into the evening hours.

Lightning lane pass are usually immediate for Spaceship Earth. The ride is relatively long too. I think it's about 15-20 minutes. The ride takes you through a historical journey of Earth. I love the end of the ride and seeing the stars in the sky! Journey Into Imagination with Figment: The Figment ride is my daughter's favorite ride! This ride usually has a low wait time as well! Sometimes, you can walk onto this ride with low wait times in the morning and evening times! The Figment ride goes through all of your senses like smell and sight! After riding, you get dropped into the Imagination area where you can meet Figment and a Figment themed store as well. Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival: This is a film right next to Journey Into Imagination with Figment. You'll see short stories like Piper! It's a great place to take a break during the summer! It's fully air conditioned. If you're looking for quick service dining areas, World Celebration has some locations! Connections Café and Starbucks, Connections Eatery, and Club Cool for Custom Soda Samples are located in World Celebration. The Connections Eatery has a wide range of burgers and sandwiches. There usually is a custom waffle offered during the seasonal offerings! Connections Eatery, with the Starbucks café, offers good options for breakfast! Club Cool for custom soda samples offers a variety of custom sodas that you can choose from! It's a stand near Mission Space Earth and Test Track. There are a few World Celebrations Character Meet and Greet too! You'll find the character's in Epcot's Main Entrance like Pluto. There are also dedicated spaces in World Celebration for the seasonal festivals like the Art Festival, with food stands! World Celebration offers Entertainment. You'll want to use the Disney World Mobile Application to view show times. There is the new Encanto show, Forces of Nature (Inside the Moana's Journey of Water), and JAMMitors! We have been to Disney many times over my life as my parents live in FL and had the Florida Pass which offered great ticket discounts. Smart people go after the holiday season as after New Years its not that crowded and most are back to school and back at work. Middle of Summer is brutal heat but can offer another down time if williing to deal with it. We always picked the right time to go, but its still busy no matter what time of year, but some months are better than others. I'm not going to talk about the politics or complain about the people or whine as many others do here, blah, blah, blah. We're like big kids who still love to have fun at Disney and are willing to spend money to experience it. Love most of the rides, will pay for the Lightning Passes, will eat at the nicer reataurants along with the quick meal spots, buy souvenirs, and always stay for the parades and evening fireworks show, etc. Halloween and Chrismas times are pretty awesome too but be prepared to deal with big crowds. Yeah, we're marks for this kind of stuff and still enjoy getting sucked into the imagery of it all. Disney still does a good job of that and has wonderful attention to detail if you're willing to pay the higher prices nowadays.

I also love that it's not just a ride for little kids. There's something about seeing all the characters you know & love come to life that makes it enjoyable for adults too. The ride is relaxing, entertaining, & has just enough excitement to keep it interesting. The big drop was the highlight of the ride for me. I got lucky & was in the 1st row. Frozen Ever After is 1 of those EPCOT attractions I always enjoy doing when I'm @ the park. If you love Frozen, it's def worth riding!

The boat ride is good for all ages and everyone will enjoy the ride. Since we didn't have the premium pass, we ended up waiting in line for about an hour before we finally got to ride the boat. That boat ride was awesome. It was a really nice break from the hot day and perfect to enjoy with the kids. The animations were totally spot on, and the ride itself was pretty smooth, even with a few backward bits and drops.

I was…read morepeacefully soaking in the bathtub when the water began to swirl, the porcelain groaned, and I was swept away into the mysterious tropical wilderness of Disney World. There, I encountered a peculiar spirit who led me directly to the wave pool. A tremendous wave crashed over me, releasing the spirit from my body--and, in a touching gesture of supernatural gratitude, he purchased me a cup of Dippin' Dots. In all seriousness, Typhoon Lagoon is one of my favorite water parks. The wave pool is fantastic, and Castaway Creek--the lazy river--is wonderfully relaxing. There are plenty of rides for thrill-seekers, while the entire park is beautifully themed around the aftermath of a tropical storm. Even the walking paths are thoughtfully designed, with little water sprayers keeping the pavement damp so your feet don't feel as though they're marching across the surface of the sun. There are plenty of dining and drinking options throughout the park, and the atmosphere is cheerful, immersive, and unmistakably Disney. The after-hours event is also a tremendous amount of fun, especially with the park illuminated at night. Seeing the slides, palm trees, wave pool, and storm-tossed scenery glowing after sunset gives the place an entirely different personality--almost as if the typhoon itself has returned from beyond the grave. Whether you want to relax, ride some excellent attractions, float along the lazy river, or be spiritually cleansed by a six-foot wave before receiving complimentary Dippin' Dots from a benevolent ghost, Typhoon Lagoon is well worth visiting.
