The meals I've had here are consistently the best I've had in Baja and most places in the states. I know the food is fresh because not everything is always available and there are always new specials with local in-season veggies and meats/fish. From the bluefin sashimi (seasonal) to the bananas foster, the meal never disappoints. My current obsession is the lobster stuffed portobello mushroom and the halibut when it's available. If you order the pasta on the cheese wheel you can get it with chicken, shrimp, or lobster. I've had them all and each is fantastic in it's own way. It's also dinner and a show as it's prepared tableside! Try it! People come from near and far for Javier's cooking and once you try t, you'll see why. Turns out its a hotel, campground, and also has a pretty darn good restaurant. While I've never stayed in, either a room or, a camp site I've looked into a room and have seen people in the clifftop camp spots. You really can't ask for a better view from an RV accessible camp site. I'm not sure about the site amenities, it looks like there may be a hose bib but no power or sewer hookups. The hotel rooms I looked at were all about the same and what you'd expect for the Baja peninsula. They looked and smelled clean and have everything you need. We looked at several facing the ocean as the housekeeper was performing her duties. Typical furnishings and linens for the region, neither fancy or run down. The location makes up for any short comings. Now to the food and drink! Something I have experience with. First the bar.... They make a house margarita in a big. 'ol goblet and it's pretty damn good. I've had them up and down Baja and while they are all a little different, this one included, this is one of the better ones. Don't try to church it up, just get the House Marg, and maaaaybe make it a double if you're feeling it. I'd also have to say they make the best Bloody Mary I've had in Baja! (see Pic) I've had breakfast, I've had the tacos for lunch and I've had the House Specialty Shrimp. ALL fantastic! I've honestly never had a bad meal here. We'll continue to stop here when driving down Hwy1 or on the coast in the buggies!

Really convenient, and I even remember them delivering orders to the hotel! The food is consistently tasty and reasonably priced. We have tried several different plates and no issues. Short wait times for orders too, which of course we like. The nice thing too also is the necessary air conditioning after being in that dry desert. The Baja highway 5 has very few places like this. It feels so good to get a blast of cool air on your head and face when you enter. The owners are from the state of Colima I believe, which has a coastline and beautiful mountain ranges inland. This might just explain the vast choices on the menu that include regional home style Mexican and seafood options as well. I've yet to try the seafood since we normally go to Brenda's on the malecón.
