Don't let the Filipino hype about this place fool you. The locals seem to think this place is 5 star...no absolutely not..Just because it's overpriced and most people in PI can't afford it doesn't make it great. The property is not kept up well, seen better days maybe. In the lobby they have Louie Vuitton Boxes and other luxury names used to decorate behind the front desk..if you're gonna go there and claim to be as elegant as the labels you're obsessed with you better bring your "A" game in quality...but you didn't. The good: Great views on the way there, so green. Great views from the beach and the resort looks cute from afar. Cute slippers and robe available in my room. and awesome massage therapist! she was great! The bad: Very basic very average very run down. we had garden views double occupancy, 2 rooms. Cute little pool next to us, but the constant waterfall in the pool could get little loud. The room was poorly lit, no safe available. Large window sofa was stained and so was the small bench i placed my carry on luggage. The bathroom..great division of toilet and shower but for goodness sake CLEAN the glass dividers!! our mirrors were not clean either. Our toilet seat kept sliding back and forth and the door for toilet would not shut. When i left the room for breakfast i requested my room be cleaned..I came back to a made bed but they didn't throw away the left over food from room service the night before. The surrounding landscape grounds are nice in some areas but not all over..the poor Koi are living in green cloudy algae water by the gym. oh the gym! rusty old workout equipment and a bent benching bar. the beach area was cute, but i rented a paddle board and it has seem better days the plastic or paint was chipping like crazy and the rubber falling apart it was a sad paddle-board. We played ping pong and that table was broken and just at its last leg. Staff for the most part was great and friendly. And dining..breakfast, lunch and dinner....sub-par..terrible and most of the stuff we wanted to try was not available! .....So buyer beware if you want luxury...it is not. read more

What a rip-off for locals... its either the owner does not know what the over rated prices are or he doesn't care about the customers. Be careful on what you order. Make sure you ask first before ordering, because the prices are way over priced; more expensive than 1st world. For example, a local buko, which cost from P20-P40, will cost you P250 in this dem place. prices are not regulated by government thats why they just can pruce customers whatever they want. Initial impressions with this resort was horrendous due to unpleasant email correspondence prior to booking. Questions in my writing were not addressed properly and led to more confusion. Every attempt at further clarifying my questions were met with copied and pasted answers, rather than actual answers. The resort itself is beautiful. Our room, the Pacific View, was immaculate. Large bed, modern bath, wonderful view, and very comfortable. They provided bathrobes, slippers (albeit of the wrong size and were not usable), and toiletries. There is a restaurant and bar available on site and they served good food but service was lacking. Refer to my review of the Spice Market for details. They have a spa that provides good massages and various water activities that all cost extra if you don't book the package. Service here was lackluster. Staff barely acknowledged me and were quite unprofessional. My experience would have been much better if the staff was more attentive and personable. Payments for all the food and amenities you utilize is made at checkout, so be sure to keep track of your expenditures accordingly. Upon checkout, we found out that you're unable to do so until the person who initially checked you in is there. This policy did not make any sense and delayed us since we had to wait for the same staff who assisted us in the first day to get to work. This policy needs to be revisited since it's so inconvenient. Overall, a great location for a resort but the staff needs further training to make the whole experience better. From start to finish, Misibis Bay Resort failed to impress. UPDATE: The resort made a mistake with our bill at the end. I'll start on a positive note. This place is full of gorgeous views, Scenic walks, a variety of activities, and some great customer service. We stayed in a second floor seaside villa with an absolutely stunning view of the bay and ocean. The room was spotless and clean with no odors. It offered all of the best modern amenities. The resort is well laid out and nothings too far of a walk to get to. It has a game room for kids, 3 different pools a kitty pool an adult pool and lazy river type. They offer all sorts of activities from wake-boarding, wind-surfing, jet-ski's, sailing on a mini catamaran, Trips to some falls and some ATV adventures. The customer service here is some of the best service I've had in most hotels super polite very professional and They take their job very seriously. Onto why I have only given this place two Stars. Firstly the deposit upon arrival. I paid in full $800+ for the entirety of my stay. They charged and held an incidental deposit of $540 or 3000php per night (9nights). Though a wide variety Of activities are offered most of which you can only pay in groups of 6+ people. Meaning if you're there with just your significant other, if you want to do any activities you'll have to pay for six people to go Or walk around the hotel asking other guests if they would like to go so they can split the cost as the hotel will not organize for other individuals for the activity. My third ding will go to the food, while they have a wonderful menu full of options and variety, while everything comes out looking like an artist or a true chef plated it, when it came to flavor, it was completely lacking even in some of the most simple dishes where it's nearly impossible to screwup. I returned most of the dishes back to the kitchen as it was like chewing on Tree-bark. I returned a salmon because they served it to me still raw. There's not a single item on the menu that I would recommend to anyone. In conclusion this place felt more like a trap as it is a beautiful place to be at, full of friendly customer service. It almost felt as though I was stranded on a island as I couldn't leave without paying a ridiculous fee so I waited my time chewing on tree bark food that seems to be prepped by a artist but a complete amateur chef With little to no true culinary skills and asking other guests awkward like if they wanted to share the cost of an adventure that I thought I had paid in full for. read more
