After strolling down the street for awhile to assess where we wanted to begin, my colleagues chose Bernie's Traditional Irish Pub. I am always one for choosing more local places, but this place has a nice charm to it. We elected to sit outside and people-watch while we had a few drinks. As I had never been to the Czech Republic before, I wanted to try their beer. The waiter recommended Zubr Classic. Frankly, it was a shrugger and not anything special. I actually prefer the Pilsner Urquell beer from the Czech Republic that I had tried back in the States. Nonetheless, the wait staff was attentive and pleasant.

They have one of my favorite wheat beers - Hoegaarden on draft, so I definitely have a big reason to come back, besides nice and quick service and good atmosphere. Even though they do not serve food, you can get cashew nuts, peanuts, chips or anything like that from the menu. And the owner was so nice that he even offered us to bring in our own food if we are more hungry. I have been to at least ten places on the famous Stodolni street and this is definitely one of my favorite spots. Big plus for anyone who does not speak Czech is that the owner speaks great English which should make your visit easier and more pleasant.

A good pub to visit on Stodolní street, especially if you are craving Italian food - they have…read morepizza, risotto, salads and bunch of other food options. I tried their cheese pizza and it was very tasty! (They also have other vegetarian food options besides pizza in case you want to take a healthier path.) They do not have Hoegaarden on draft (which some other bars on Stodolní street have) but they at least have lager and some other beers. Besides that, they have a good liquir selection so you can definitely find something to please your taste.
