We've been to science museums, kids' museums, and kids' science museums all over the world (London,…read moreMunich, Chicago, New York, Boston, Tokyo, to name just a few). I am as surprised as anyone to report that the best one of these for kids (while still being fun for adults!) that we've ever seen is in a town I'd never heard of before visiting, north of Prague in the Czech paradise area. There's stuff to do that's just good ol' fun playing (with a little science or technology mixed in). Water tables, a stage to sing on, a miniature grocery store where kids can role play. There are places to climb, places to drive little cars, fun with mirrors and optical illusions. There's a little bar where children can pretend to pour you a Pilsner Urquell. But then there's an entire floor (nearly empty when we were there!) full of well-designed wooden mechanical puzzles and challenges to test your knowledge of Newtonian physics. They tell me it was designed for little kids and I'm sure that's true, my kids loved it. But even with a masters education in engineering I still found some of them challenging to figure out! Just good stuff for the whole family. It isn't too crowded. It will keep the littlest kids entertained through at least young elementary age kids, and to be honest I found myself having fun as well rather than just sitting on a bench checking my phone.

Fun place to visit(not only) with kids! There is actually much more to do than just watching train…read moremodels. One can drive a tram, train or bus simulator which is great fun (even for adults) :-) Moreover, kids can enjoy the indoor playground, run through the halls with plenty of train models, play various games ... There is also a miniature of the city of Prague which is worth seeing, too. You will probably spend more than 2 hours there without even noticing it :-)

Absolutely great views over the whole city from the top of this attraction!…read more I believe you can walk up but there is an funicular railway which is fun to ride, kinda like a cable car! There is a small coffee shop at top of hill and plenty of walking to do. The petrin tower only appears to be open in the summer months so check out before you plan to go. But if its closed it's still worth a look.

My four-year-old son was enrolled in a class at Andel, and after the class he said that he had…read morefallen hard on his back from a height. That night he was in pain and asked to see a doctor. He spent the next three days in a bed at Motol Hospital and awaiting a CAT scan. When I called the director of the Little Gym to simply ask what had happened during the class, she denied that anything had happened, and expressed absolutely no concern about my son (never mind an apology). Fortunately, the CAT scan revealed that my son did not have a serious injury. However, a few things are clear from this experience. It is clear that my son was not given adequate supervision during the class. Small children climb relatively tall objects -- so the children's safety depends on very close supervision. Also, people taking care of your children should be honest and trustworthy, I did not ask for a refund or any other compensation. Placing money ahead of children's safety is a very serious defect for a business that obviously poses risks for children unless they are given close supervision by responsible and trustworthy people.
