Went here after a field trip and it was the perfect place to satisfy our hungry stomachs! We felt…read morethere were numerous options in the plaza, all around the same price for the menu del dia, and we are so glad we chose this one. We had a group of 10+ people and they seated us in a room upstairs family-style. Everyone got the menu del dia. I got: - wine - Tastes fine to me but I'm not an avid wine drinker. It went well with my food! - bread + balsamic - Hefty portion of bread loaves. You pour the oil and balsamic yourself. - paella - My first time eating paella ever! To be honest, it was quite salty but it helped a bit to squeeze the lemon on it. I ate it with bread. I thought starters were meant to be small but I found this portion to be quite big! - lamb stew - The photos online looked small but the portion was decent, especially along with the starter paella. The bones and meat were soft and had lots of cartilage. Potatoes were a good accompaniment. - salad - Just standard salad lol but my body really misses vegetables after being in Spain for a while. The service here was quick, prompt, and overall a great experience! We were worried about our big group but not only did our food all come out at the same time in a timely manner, it was also great talking to the servers! We were all able to pay separately too. I highly recommend this place!

Barman told us it would be open in 10 minutes. Ordered a beer and it came with a free boquerones tapa. The have lots of menu choices. From 11 to 25 Euros. We ordered the 20 Euros one and a La Mancha red wine. Amazing. Juan, our waiter, did his best to take care of us. Breakfast is not great but it's inexpensive.

I had a pasta that was too over cooked and tasted like what I would make in college (I am a terrible cook). My boyfriend had sardines out of a can, but they at least put lettuce leaves on top. My boyfriend's father had a soup that was luke warm and tasted like it came from a can too. I don't leave negative reviews unless the place was terrible. Please go somewhere else since there are so many other places to try in this city.

Amazing dinner, probably the best meal we had on a recent trip to Spain. Zaragoza in general had…read morehands down the best food out of the cities we visited - Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Torredembarra. Birolla 4 was an awesome combination of Aragon cuisine and modern cooking. Elements of molecular gastronomy (nothing too crazy), fresh ingredients and super friendly service made this an exceptional meal. The homemade gazpacho was fresh and delicious. And my brother in law's fish tacos were the best meal we tried - deconstructed "tacos" in a bowl with fresh white fish and veggies. There was an incredible grilled flavor of the vegetables and fish. We also had the best wine of the trip here - a local Catalunya wine from San Alejandro vineyard called Baltasar Blanco de Hielo. I'm not typically a white wine drinker either, but this was full of flavor, fresh and refreshing. We must have come in right as they opened for the evening (around 9pm), so we had the upstairs to ourselves and great attentive service. Birolla is cozy and charming inside, with wooden tables and a mish-mash of various chairs. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in Zaragoza, and would ABSOLUTELY recommend Zaragoza as a wonderful city for cuisine, friendly people, laid-back vibe, and beautiful place.

Birolla4 - Surtido de postres. El más rico es el de sorbete o mousse y no recuerdo de qué. Los demás no me apasionaron.
