After showing me a sample I told her it was to dark that I wanted full head of blonde, blonde highlights. I emphasize my desire by telling her beach blonde. Thinking she finally understood what I wanted she proceeded. 2.5 hours later I end up with color that's some warm brownish tone....not blonde as I had requested. I told her the color was wrong, she did nothing to try and correct her mistake, in fact she over charged me by 45 dollars by tacking on a blow drying fee which I refused to pay so she removed it. (45.00 to blow dry hair??? Are you nuts? I would never pay someone to blow dry my hair) I let the girls up front know I was unhappy with the results to no avail. After I got home I called the customer service number to complain, supposedly they will email later with a compensation. Your hairdresser should listen to what you want and proceed accordingly...not just do whatever they want Addendum: I spoke with Natalie who claimed to be the store manager...she offered me a "glossing" for my hair. I refuse to let Ulta service any of my salon needs. I asked to be refunded my money and she refused. I called customer service the same day my hair was ruined and complained. Natalie tried to tell me I waited 3 weeks...untrue. I put the ball in their court the very afternoon my hair was ruined. This is not an upstanding salon and they refuse to make good on their products. If you value your hair stay away from Ulta salon. I will be calling customer service once again to speak with Kelly who is a supervisor over Natalie. People think they can get away with horrible service, it's a shame how customers are treated without respect :Adding to my review... After speaking to customer service again Ulta refused to do anything to fix my hair other than add a toner. I told them I would not let them put chemicals on my hair again. Today on September 14th 2024 I received a call with a voicemail mail from Natalie basically telling me their salon could no longer serve my needs.... as if I would ever go back to Ulta. Don't flatter yourself Natalie... there are plenty of salons in the area that would be happy to have my business and I'm sure they would listen to what I'm requesting them to do. I went into the salon a few days earlier asked the stylist if she could do my hair color I showed her a picture of what I wanted a color I previously had. She said that she could do it. I asked her if she was absolutely sure she said yes I made an appointment I came back. I went to salon got there at 1 o'clock. She did not take me until 130. I showed her a photo again of me with the hair color I wanted and asked again if she could do it. she said yes. I sat in the chair for over five hours when she started to dry my hair, I told her that it was not what I asked for, she asked Another stylist to help she started adding all kinds of bright red shades. I asked for a little trim and not to take a lot I showed her how much. she took over 2" off my hair. I was so devastated what my hair looked like I was speechless. I walked out of the salon looking like Ronald McDonald. I went back to the salon because I was embarrassed how bad my hair looked like I spoke to the owners daughter she was very nice and said would I let them do something and would refund my money, but she needed to talk to the stylist. I then got a phone call from the owner, who was absolutely nasty and said that my color was beautiful I said it was not what I asked for and that everybody else that saw the color laughed at me. my friend who recommended the salon said sorry for recommending them. the owner got very nasty to me and said that she would not refund my money. the owner also said she hade me on video saying that I liked it. I told her I did not say that I was distraught about what the women did to my hair with the color and how much the stylist cut my hair. I was very adamant about the color and I didn't want a lot cut off. The owner refused to listen to any of my concerns and was very nasty and when I asked to see the videotape that she said she had she refused to show it to me. She is recording conversations that you have with your stylist without your knowledg. I have never had a salon owner treat me the way that this owner did. I do not recommend you going to this salon if you care about your hair and want your hair to be done the way you want not the way they think it should be done. Owner continued to talk about a video she had and when I said she was saying things that were not true and to show me the video she refused. I cannot express what a horrible experience this was.
