I've been going to this salon every since I was in high school (now 26 lol) and Stephanie and her team have always done such a great job with my nails! It's very clean and everyone is super nice and accommodating if you want a particular design for your nails. I always do acrylic and Stephanie does an amazing job and they look so real! Once nail salons opened during COVID, I've visited a couple times and they make you feel very safe. They take your temperature before and everyone wears masks and there's even plexi glass for all stations. The door is also open to ensure airflow is coming through! It's a pity I can't give them more stars... a very well kept clean salon with an amazing library of nailpolish colors and reasonably priced. I got a gel pedicure and it was a great- very thorough with cuticle removal, pumice stone scrub and included a mini leg/foot massage. However to me, a nail salon's ratings is not only cleanliness but polish application. That's the whole point of getting mani/pedi. In my case, the polish application is sadly rated less than mediocre. It hasn't been 24 hours and I can see the polish lifting because the polish ran over onto the skin. They seem to have a lot of regulars, but noticed a majority of them get regular mani/pedi polish. I won't be returning for a gel service anytime soon or ever. read more

08/29/18 Update: I STILL LOVE coming to Miracle Spa. Every single time I go somewhere else (whenever I'm not near this place) I seem to always expect the same quality nail service that includes the massages and hot towels. The girls are great and actually take their time to do my nails...this meaning they make sure my nails look even, nail polish smooth looking, etc. I've been coming here for years and frankly, I can't compare to other places anymore, and I miss them sorely when I don't. ....... This is a great place to come to. I think I live for those leg massages and pedicures done by Lee. They do a bit more than the average nail salons I've been too. I came here to get my eyelashes done as I was impressed by the photos on Yelp. The lashes were thick and full for Asian eyes which I was hoping to get. Once opening my eyes after a nearly three-hour appointment, I found thin, frail lashes that were barely noticeable from a five foot distance. I am truly disappointed, as they costed me $120. Besides the fact that the lashes were under par, I went home to brush them in about ten minutes with an eyelash spool and A TON fell right off. I'm an eyelash regular and couldn't believe what was happening! I've been to many eyelash extension places, and never have the eyelashes been so eager to fall out. Everyone here was really nice and courteous when I came and left and complimented my lashes. I just can't give a good review on the quality of the lashes and the aftermath of it all. *Update Monday July 10: it's been two days. Exactly 48 hours and I showered and got the lashes wet. They all fell off. This is not an exaggeration. They just fell off while I was patting them dry with a tissue. Please spend your money for lashes elsewhere. I do not recommend for lashes. read more

I've been in the Inner Richmond for a few months now. This salon is less than a 10 min walk from my apartment. Today was the second time I've been. They do a great job. They run the salon very efficiently. My first gel manicure lasted about 4 weeks, no chips or breaks in my nails - which tends to happen to me. I used to really like going to Miracle Spa but on my recent two occasions, I felt very rushed to pick out colors. During both visits, the girls asked me to sit down and started prepping my nails for a manicure before I had even chosen a color - which makes it really difficult to look through the colors. I've also been disappointed by their recent attention to detail. They skipped steps during my manicures (i.e. cuticles) and I was also bummed to see they charge $20 for gel removal when I got the gel manicure at Miracle and was getting another gel manicure. It's not worth $65 for gel removal and manicure and I'm sad to say that I'm going to go elsewhere going forward. read more

I've lived in the Richmond District for 6 years but never knew this hidden gem existed. I am getting the best mani/pedi here right now. They have lemon and rose petals in the water, set a little timer for a 6 minute massage for both the mani and spa pedi, and sugar scrub your legs . They use lotion on your shoulders under your shirt for the massage (if you want) and also wrap your arms and legs with a hot towel. Super relaxing. Been to this place twice now and I figured it was time to write a review. In short, this place is definitely one of my favorites. For details, read on. I originally came here because my usual place was booked (and my usual manicurist was going to be on vacation). I decided to give this place a try since people have been raving about it and a friend told me she had good experiences. Appointments are definitely easy to book - they always pick up the phone or you can walk-in and do so. Of course, walk-ins are welcome and they tend not to overbook. Stephanie did my nails both times I've been here; sometimes someone else helps prep my nails (they are all very sweet), but Stephanie does the bulk of the work. Both times I've done gel manicures with some sort of design and stickers (I bring those myself). Each time, I've been happy with the results and impressed that Stephanie takes that extra step to make sure my gels are smooth and the stickers are down flat (even if it means taking an extra bit of time to use a dash of nail glue and filing down any glue bumps). I would say my only disappointment was that my first choice design could not be attempted because it was too complicated. So, word of advice is to have a backup simpler design, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Oh, and each manicure comes with the usual works - trimming nails, cuticle work, hand/arm massage. The bonus here is that they also give you a short shoulder massage (additional time will cost you), too. Based on other reviews and word-of-mouth, a gel manicure is $30. Any additions (like French tip or nail art - applying stickers falls in this category I think) is another $5+. Honestly, it isn't totally clear. On that note, my nails have cost me $45-55 (plus tip) each time; definitely on the higher side of what I've paid, but I love the results and quality. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and return again. Random prices to keep in mind (as of end of 2016): gel manicure - $30 regular manicure - $23 designs - varies remove gel - $5 (free if replace with gel) Small Update (Jan, 2017) Got my gels removed and it's the very beginning of 2017 - I was charged $10. Either prices have gone up or I was charged an extra $5 for having my nails trimmed/filed/buffed after gels removed. Guess I'm going to Richmond nails whenever I just need gel removals now. Another Update (August 2017) Trang learned a method to keep rhinestones on gel manicures longer from a customer who gets them done often, and applies the new method to everyone who gets rhinestones on their nails. I have lived in SF for over 10 years and tried a number of nail salons. I stopped going to new places when I found this gem - their mani/pedis are the best! They take great care of you with a sugar leg scrub, massage, hot towels, and even add flowers and lemons to the soaking water for a nice touch. Their pedicures (no gel) easily lasts 4-6 weeks. Their manicures (no gel) tend to last 1-2 weeks. I find some brands of polish tend to chip faster than others - but the OPI brand seems to stay on the best. Great place!!!!! read more

First off, the ladies here are all very nice. But their prices are higher than most salons and they don't offer anything more than most salons. I got a mani-pedi which was $40 total not including tip. The color selection was good, I got cool colors I've never gotten anywhere else. But the entire process was just alright. I'm talking about the massages mostly...it was better if they didn't do it. Cause since they did, it just feels like they were being lazy with it. It was almost annoying to have them rub me gently....And I don't like their seats! They're not even Spa chairs! Just a bench against the wall..not -so-comfy. We moved back to San Francisco nearly a year ago and I've been searching for a new shop for my nails because my previous shop permanently closed during early pandemic. A friend recommended this shop so I made an appointment. I went in earlier this week and was immediately uncomfortable due to the number of customers who were not wearing masks. I asked the technician about it, but couldn't understand her response. I think she was trying to say it's not the law. But it's a private business that can make its own rules for customers and with Covid cases being higher now than at the same time last year, especially in San Francisco, it's very irresponsible for a nail shop with so much water (pedicure bowls) that create aerosols to not require masks. I'm giving two stars because other wise it's a nice shop and my manicure and pedicure were very good but unless they update their mask policy (at least for now) to protect customers I will not come back. read more

Wow they've seriously downgraded. Their old location was wayyy better. I'm assuming they had to relocate because they couldn't afford such a big room. The place they have now is practically half the size of the original location. And it wasn't pretty. There were only 5 open chairs and none of them were spa chairs. I think two of the chairs were mini couches? It looked so bad. And on the other side of the room, there were huge cardboard boxes. Obviously they were not ready to reopen. I overheard that they're still waiting on bringing in their former spa/massage chairs with the tubs for your feet. I'm so pissed that this wasn't here when I came. And I used to really like this place but their services are a little more expensive than other places that do the same quality job. But I recently saw a groupon deal and it was for a Special Mani-Pedi for $30. It was not special at all. Here is their description: "During the one-hour service, nail technicians push back cuticles and shape nails, before indulging hands and feet with flavored products in scents such as vanilla and orange, milk and honey, French lavender, ginger lime, or chocolate mint leaf" What my hands and feet were indulged in was mushed avocado with milk..... WTH. Other than that, it was just your ordinary manicure pedicure, that I can get for $30 at other salons. So disappointed. And on top of that, I called in to make an appointment for me and my friend at 4:30. When we walked in, every seat was taken but we didn't mind because we had to choose our colors anyways. And then the waiting began. I did not get seated until 5:15 and then this lady who came in after us who had an appointment at 5:00 got seated before my friend...and so my friend didn't get seated until 5:30, a whole hour after our set appointment. And we didn't even get to sit together. FAIL. Didn't leave the spa until 6:50... What happened Miracle Spa??? Horrible service, and overpriced. Worst groupon deal I ever got. So not worth it. I really wanted to love this place...but since my first review I went to Miracle Spa several times. They never were able to remedy the problem with discoloration of the gels. My last set/fill ended up lifting pretty bad. As a result I had the gels removed...the search for a great salon continues. Also, I didn't know this when I had them put on but found out when they removed it - the style gel they use is NOT the soak off, "good for your nails" type. Sure they don't file as much as acrylics during the application but to remove they have to chip and file and basically trash your nails, just like if you had acrylics. Really great women work here, they are super nice and really try but the end result was not worth the money and I gave them several chances. Giving them 3 stars because of effort, but taking 2 off for end result. read more

About 2 weeks ago I made an appointment for about $400 worth of services. They did half my waxing(underarms and Full bikini). My underarms were instantly bruised. I knew that was not normal or right. I said something to the woman and I was told that it was fine. I Have had my underarms waxed for 20 years, that's not fine. Then made me get up and out of the room because they said they needed to prep it for my facial. But when I got up they ushered another woman in the room and started doing my nails. That was fine. But then she started to do my facial waxing and eyelash tinting at the same time. There where other clients around me making me very uncomfortable. It was soooo uncomfortable. I couldn't open my eyes and when I did I saw the worst manicure I had ever seen. It was THE WORST. They also had not painted my toes yet. Then I was tossed back in the room for my facial. That was the only nice part of the day. After my facial I got my eyelash extensions done. OH MY GOD! The woman used store bought individual lashes and glued them to my eye lids!!!!!! With what felt like superglue. The whole time I thought get up and run out! Just run! But I'm one of those pushover types so I just suffered in silence. When she was done they did look nice but I'm am suffering so much now. The last part of my horrible experience was when I came out they were soooooo busy she just tried to ring me up. They still had not finished my toenails! Also at this point I couldn't take it so I complained about my nails she asked if I could wait? Wait? I made an appointment for all my services at 9:30am it was now 2:30! They did redo my nails but made me wait almost another hour. Almost like if they made me wait long enough I would just leave. I had a babysitter for this! This was supposed to be a nice day! What a joke! Now my eye lids are sooo swollen and inflamed I called out sick for work and for the life of me I can't get these lashes off and I'm making a doctors appointment with a dermatologist for help. I just wanted say that after about 20(?) years of being a customer of Miracle Spa, my opinion has never changed. You could not get any better treatment if you found a nail salon on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills or the folks who service the Kardashians. Their service is contemporary and their employees always strive to give you what YOU want. Stephanie the owner is so sweet and leads her employees with kindness. She is always in the thick of it, doing nails and eyebrows. I could name every one of the women who work for her but I have to say Trang is outstanding on nails, eyebrows and lash extensions. And Phuong? Probably the best at chair massage anywhere. One thing for sure, there is NO way anyone could walk out of Miracle Spa with a bad nail service. They really are the best. And folks? Express your pleasure with a decent tip! I have been really horrified to see some men and women give the ladies a paltry 5-7 dollar tip on a hundred dollar tab. It is customary to give at least 20%.
