6/10/2026 First time at Miopane. EVERYTHING & EGG BREAKFAST CROISSANT Did not eat this right away, but ate the next day after reheating it in the toaster oven. The croissant was partially crispy. The filling was pesto with a well-done egg on top with everything bagel seasonings sprinkled on top of the outer edges of the croissant. It wasn't bad and it tasted exactly as described. However, it wasn't anything amazing and I wouldn't reorder this. BLACK SESAME CREAM CHEESE BAGEL My favorite of everything I've tried. This was delicious! It was exactly what I thought it would taste like. A soft bagel with bounce. It is different from your typical bagel texture where it can be dense and sometimes dry, but Mio Pane's bagel is not like that at all. It was not dry and kept it's texture well, even hours after bringing it back home. There is a pleasantly light chewiness to it as well. Really good black sesame flavor too! Black sesame paste and cream cheese lined throughout the bagel. The cross section seems like there's only a little bit of the black sesame and cream cheese, but if you cut into quarters, you'll see there is more black sesame and cream cheese inside all throughout. Very good black sesame and tangy cream cheese flavor throughout! Please do not refrigerate! Try to eat it on the day you bring it home. I think it tastes great as it is, although toasting it may not be bad, but I've never tried it toasted with this bagel. MATCHA CRUMBLE BAGEL The filling tasted like sweetened matcha with a light bitter flavor at the end. The filling was not cream, but a wet sand-like texture. There was also another layer of matcha crumble on top, which added a light crunchy texture. It was good, as the bagel was soft with bounce. I wouldn't say it is a pillowy texture, but a much softer texture than a regular bagel. Good, light chewy texture too. JALAPEÑO SHARP CHEDDAR BAGEL This is your typical jalapeño and cheddar bagel. It had strong flavors of both. Cream cheese added as well. If you love jalapeño, cream cheese and cheddar, this is for you! Bagel was slightly softer and spongy than your typical bagel. I toasted the rest of the bagel and it actually did not melt the cream cheese. The bagel was warm and the outside was nicely crispy. The inside was not dried out either. I think this bagel tastes best toasted in the toaster oven. TIRAMISU CROISSANT Really delicious! It tasted like tiramisu and had good crunch from toasted crushed almonds. I believe it was almonds, but it was so toasted, I couldn't really tell. Crunchy croissant too, albeit a bit dry. But still, overall good. I would get it again if I'm in the mood for a dessert croissant. UPSIDE DOWN STICKY BUN It was a good, sticky, sticky bun! I did not eat it on the same day, but toasted it in the toaster oven and although the outside did toast up a bit, the inside was still moist and very gooey outside. Yes, some outer layers get dry as you toast in oven. So best to eat the day of. Loved the generous caramelized pecans on top, it was well-toasted, crunchy and toffee-like in flavor and texture. That was the best part for me. Anyone who loves sticky buns would really enjoy this! AMBIANCE / SEATING One large wooden communal table with small stool chairs that seats about 10-12 people. Four bar seats available as well. This communal table took most of the space! LINES / WAIT TIME Went on a Wednesday before noon. It is a small bakery, so get ready to stand outside in the heat when the lines get long! It was quite hectic inside! The line did stretch outside, but still closer to the entrance. Inside, the whole place was packed! The line moves as one long line. How they arranged all their food items and labels were difficult to see, every food item were crowded together. Some of bagels and pastries were sold out and not available, but still they had so much variety it was crazy trying to choose! Just come ready to order by checking out their online menu ahead of time. If you come early, they will probably have everything. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was good, there were two to three people taking bread orders, behind the glass display case, so the lines weren't too bad. Lines moved much quicker for me, but I can see there can be delays if customers don't hurry and order. Service was good, the person taking my order was patient. PARKING Best to park in a parking garage, as street parking requires more effort. I parked at School House Garage on 33 E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91105. First 2 hours is $1.00, each additional hour is $2.00. Daily maximum is $12.00. There are closer parking garages if you want to go there, but I chose this one, as I was going to a Mills Alley beforehand. But this parking garage is still a close walk to Miopane. Would I return? Not sure. I enjoyed the items offered and service was good, but as a French pastry lover, it might be awhile until my next visit.
finally got to try miopane! parking can be found around the streets or paid structures of old town pasadena. there are a few structures near Holly St to park in. we arrived around 7:54AM on a Friday and there was already a small line outside waiting to get in. the wait wasn't super long though at this time, we maybe got in 10-15 minutes later. there is a employee managing the line & interior capacity to ensure it doesnt get crazy crowded inside. it seems like they serve party by party versus having too many people crowd in at once. the service is great here! everyone's really friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings here. the ambiance was giving your classic old town pasadena establishment, a mix of modern and timeless. super clean and offered some seating by their window or in a communal table. theres maybe about 10-12 seats available inside. my order came out to be around $40 after tax & tip. 1 Matcha Pillow $7.50 - their version of a double matcha! matcha latte with a matcha cream top. not too sweet, and decently rich in matcha flavor. not the strongest, but not overly milky so it was good. 1 Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic Butter $7.00 - a must try. really strong garlic flavor & perfect amount of cream cheese. the bagel texture was amazing as well 1 Mexican Street Corn $8.25 - suuuper yummy. flavors were immaculate! it does get a little messy so beware of that 1 Roasted Tomato with Herbs & Cheddar $7.00 - stuffed with tomatoes cheese inside, if you like pizza flavors or tomatoes this one is solid! not the best out of all the ones i tried, but its good 1 Black Sesame Cream Cheese $6.50 - to be tried soon, i wanted to try one of their sweet bagels options! i imagine itll be great based on the other ones being super yummy :) with the friendly staff, super high quality yummy bagels, and nice ambiance; ill def be back to try their other flavors! june 19 2026

Nice and crunchy 5/5 Strawberry shortcake is so delicious! 5/5 Chocolate hazelnut bagel is outstanding! 5/5 Wonderful customer service, very helpful, polite, and positive attitude. Clean environment, nice seating area , and well organized. Restrooms available Parking available on street Definitely recommended Friends and family Will be back soon
The line was surprisingly short when we arrived around 2 PM on a weekend afternoon. We picked up the matcha bagel, green onion croissant, and green onion bagel, and everything was very tasty. The green onion items were especially flavorful, and I can definitely see why this place draws such a crowd. That said, the matcha bagel did become quite hard by the next day, which makes me think these bagels are best enjoyed fresh. I would have loved to try them straight out of the oven, but there's clearly a line for a reason. Prices are on the steeper side, around $6-$8 per item, but that's pretty expected for Pasadena. As for parking, there is street parking available if you're lucky enough to find a spot, but there are also nearby parking structures. Just keep in mind that both options are paid. Overall, a solid bakery with unique flavors, quality pastries, and bagels that are worth trying at least once, especially if you can get them fresh.
Miopane is a bakery that specializes in artisanal, beautiful bagels. These bagels all have very light and chewy texture, the exterior is not thick like most bagel places, likely baked rather than boiled. Additionally, there is usually something cooked into the center of the bagel. The price is expensive, $7 or 8 per bagel. On any day they have a dozen or more bagel flavors, so you should be able to find an appealing flavor. Of the three I tried I most enjoyed the Roasted Tomato with herbs and cheddar. It had sundried tomatoes inside and some fresh tomatoes included too with basil as the herb. Very light and chewy, very fragrant, I would get it again. Jalapeno sharp cheddar was solid, but I don't care for jalapeno spice and this bagel had copies pieces inside. I think if the jalapenos were removed then it would have been a solid cheddar bagel which had cream cheese baked into the center. Lastly the Mexican Street Corn was a bagel with some crema baked inside, and then corn added on top. This one could not be heated up since it would get soggy, and felt the heaviest in my stomach (a major contrast to the other light bagels).
I have been seeing this place all over my feed and LOVE bagels so this was a must try! I went on a Sunday morning around 9 and the line wasn't too bad. Like the other reviews said, it moves pretty quick. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Super patient because there are so many choices and hard to decide. The person that helped me was super helpful letting us know which ones were the most popular. The strawberry shortcake was the favorite for my daughters. The crowd favorite was the everything but bagel with gouda cheese. It was delicious! It was warm and the cheese was oozing out. My other daughter ate half of it on her own. The only downfall is there isn't much seating. So either you should take it to go or prepare a blanket/mat to eat it at the park near the store. This is what we had to do. Definitely will be by again to try some other bagels!
Is this spot life changing? No. Is it super delicious and worth the visit? Yes! I love their unique pastries and if you get the right one, you'll be happy you waited in line. I think the Strawberry Shortcake one was delectable and the Mango Bagel was underwhelming and bland. But I'm excited to come back to try more flavors.
Heard a lot about this place from Instagram and online so decided to try it out. We went on a Tuesday around noon and there was a decent line outside. Ambiance: they only let a certain amount of people in at a time but it was still crowded inside. There's seating but there's just a lot of bodies in there. Would not recommend staying if you want a place to sit and hangout, study, or chill. Parking is also atrocious if you're not paying for it in the parking garage (which I recommend to do). The space inside is cute and aesthetic and they also have a bathroom for use. Matcha: we got the matcha cloud and it was decent, definitely on the sweeter side and the size was a bit small for the price. Pastries: they had a lot of different pastries, they mainly have bagels and croissants. We ended up getting the garlic butter bagel as it was one of their more popular ones, it was good but there was actually too much garlic and butter which made it heavy and a chore to eat, would personally not get again. The almond and blueberry croissant were better.
Sad in the afternoon most of the yummy bagel flavors are out! Make sure to stop by early if you want to try their iconic flavors. My rating is 4/5 mainly because they sell out of a lot of flavors in the afternoon and the selection is a bit scarce. The gentleman behind the counter was super sweet! I have to come back earlier next time. Matcha pillow 4/5 aesthetic looking yes but flavors were okay. It was more sweet than matcha tasting Jalapeño and cheese bagel 5/5 typical, can't go wrong with this flavor Blueberry bagel 5/5 i love how they stuff their bagels with blueberry cream cheese. It's not the typical Philadelphia cream cheese you get at the grocery store, it's so much better! I really enjoyed this
I liked the Mexican street corn bagel. There was a line out the door, but it moved pretty fast ... they only let a few people in at a time. There's some indoor seating, but it gets busy and you might not find a seat. It's paid street parking, but I would definitely come back to try their other pastries.
Upgraded to 4 stars for the winning MANGO cream cheese bagel. The scallion croissant is also very good -- salty, savory, pairs great with the sweet mango pastry. Saturday afternoon wait time only 20 minutes, not bad. I was the only non-GenZ in the line but that's OK; my Gen-Z lovebird 'Mango' was happy. 4 pastries for $31 is not cheap and that's before the annoying iPad tip screen and the person behind the counter staring at you with a half-smile. hard bagel reheat instructions: wrap in wet paper towel, microwave 15 seconds, then into 300F toaster oven for 3 minutes. Suggestion to the Taiwanese owner -- add red bean, taro and pineapple pastries.
If you're looking for unique bagels, come check out Miopane! They have so many different flavors to choose from and they all look so pretty too. We came on a Tuesday morning around 10:30 and there was a short 15 min wait. The line looks long out the door but that's because they call you in one by one when they're ready to help you. I ordered the strawberry bagel, sour cream and onion cream cheese bagel, roasted tomato bagel, and the everything & the egg croissant. All the bagels were pretty delicious. The sour cream and onion cream cheese one was like their version of a standard bagel. I like that they added so many green onions to it and there was a whole roasted onion clove in the middle too. The strawberry bagel was sweet and like a dessert. My 3 year old really enjoyed this one. The roasted tomato bagel was my favorite out of the bagels. It was savory but the tomato pieces had a bit of sweetness to it. It was also filled with so much cream cheese. The everything and egg croissant was average. Flavor was good but I felt like the egg was a bit overdone. It would've tasted better heated up as well. Inside of the store is quite small. There's a communal table space and some seating along the windows. Most people grab their item to-go. Overall, I really enjoyed the food here and would definitely come back but would not wait more than 15-20 min for it.
Great experience. Delicious coffee. Lots of items to choose from. Don't be intimidated by the line. They make sure to keep the large line outside so the guests inside don't feel too crowded. My go tos are the coffee einspanner and their cinnamon roll which so good, moist and honestly big enough to share between two people.
This was a very cute spot, it opened recently and still has a wait to get in. We waited about 15-20 min and the line kept getting longer. I got the Einspanner coffee w/ oatmilk and it was mid (the cold foam they put on top was bomb though) and my friend got the Strawberry matcha it was mid for me (not really a matcha person) but my friend LOVED it. And BOTH bagels were AMAZING! The whipped cream cheese and garlic butter was my favorite and loved how garlicy it was. I also loved how the bagel had a touch of sweetness which just made it that much better. I will definitely be back for the bagels. read more

If you're a fan of bagels, this place will be your favorite. The place is very cute and inviting and all the bagels look delicious. Service was very friendly and the manager greeted us with a smile and gave us a brief introduction on the menu. The bagels are on the expensive side but worth it with the creativity and freshness it offers. The bagels themselves are very savory in flavor, on the thicker side and have lots of cream cheese. Got here at 10:40 on Easter Sunday. The line wasn't too bad. Maybe about 8 people in front of us. Ordered a bunch of stuff. Just tried the everything bagel and almond croissant so far and it's so good!! All the bagels are hot and the everything bagel is stuffed with cream cheese. But the goodness comes w a price. Not sure if these are the going rates for bagels and croissants but they're $6+. Otherwise the two pastries we tasted were really good. Also ordered 2 drinks. An iced cortado and an iced cappuccino. The girl specifically asked if I wanted regular or oat milk. I said regular is fine but she charged me for oat milk anyway. The drinks came in paper cups like a regular hot coffee would, so even with ice they weren't very cold. And for $6 and $5.75, they were smaller than a Mcds happy meal cup. read more

I was lucky to stop by when the line wasn't crazy long! But the bagels are definitely worth the wait! I got the garlic butter bagel and the cinnamon pecan cream cheese bagel. The garlic butter was savory and very GARLIC VIBES if you are a garlic lover i definitely recommend it! The cinnamon pecan cream cheese bagel was good but when I go back I want to try the other flavors. The staff here are very kind and the shop itself is super cute. Unfortunately for the matcha pillow drink did not wow me. Overall I will come back for the bagels!! read more
Miopane is the spot. Everything that they have hits. Came on a Saturday morning with moderate wait times the line move pretty fairly quickly was able to get in and out within 30 minutes. The line does get packed up throughout the day so plan accordingly. They have so many different kinds of pastries and bagels from sweet to savory. I really like the garlic bagel one. I can see why some people would not like it because it is pretty heavy on the garlic and a bit spicy but to me this is perfect. The bagels are so chewy and soft. They also have a good amount of typical coffee drinks. Matcha is also sold here. Recommendations: - Blueberry toast: 8.5/10 - Garlic Bagel: 9/10 - Sour cream/onion bagel: 8.2/10 - upside down sticky bun: 8.5/10 Parking is limited to street parking only. Place has very limited seating and can get packed. I recommend eating at the park across the café. read more
I was skeptical. But it was WORTH THE HYPE! We went last Sunday at 3pm and there was no line and we snatched a parking spot right outside the bakery. That was already a double win! They had all the bagels and croissants on the menu, nothing was sold out. We got the following: 1. Strawberry shortcake bagel- this bagel came with cream cheese inside already. I thought the texture was perfect; not too soft and not too chewy. This was delicious! 2. Jalapeno sharp cheddar bagel - this came with cream cheese inside as well and had a nice kick to it. We loved it! 3. Sweet milk crumble bagel - this is more of a Taiwanese flavor profile with the sweet milk crumble as filling, it usually goes with bread but instead, they put it in a bagel. It worked! Not dry as some could come out that way. 4. Maple glaze croissant - excellent quality croissant. No complaints. 5. Ice oat milk latte - good quality and happy there's decent coffee to go with the pastries. There is one long table that can seat about 8 people (4 on each side) and 5 stools with a counter along the window. There is also a bench by the other window that can seat 2. Not a big place but cozy and there are still lines even on weekdays. So prepare for that! We just got lucky. The lines started forming again after we got inside. read more
So delicious, I can see why theres a long line wrapped around the building even on weekdays. I came on a Friday morning and waited about 15 minutes before ordering. The line doubled by time I came out. Once you enter, the ordering process is as efficient as you make it as you select your pastries. The crowd favorite is the maple glazed green onion croissant and this one was by far my favorite. The mix of sweet and saltiness made for a delicious combination. I had the Matcha Pillow and it tasted a bit watered down. Def just come here for pastries. read more
Miopane is a famous Taiwanese bakery with its first U.S. based location being in Old Town Pasadena! To get here, street parking will be your best bet and there is a good amount of it around the area. Wifey and I pulled up on a Saturday around 10am and there was a line out the door. We ordered after about 20 mins and ended up getting the Matcha Crumble, Sour Cream & Onion Cream Cheese Bagel, Jalapeño Sharp Cheddar Bagel, and the Maple Glaze Green Onion Croissant. Everything that we had was delicious and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is a good amount of seating, but be prepared to take your items togo due to the crowds. read more
Miopane is a Taiwanese bakery famous for their fresh bagels. I went early in the morning, but the line was long. They only allow few customers inside the shop.The estimate time of waiting is around twenty to thirty minutes. The store is small, but organized and clean. There is limited seating inside. Almost all the customers took their order to go except a few. To be efficient, I read the menu and I wrote my order in advance on my phone notes. Some of the bagels weren't available, I chose other types. For bagels, I couldn't resist ordering various assortment of their bagels to try! -Strawberry short cake - Mango cream cheese bagel - Roasted tomatoes and herba& cheddar - Sweet Milk Crumble - Matcha crumble - 2 Sour cream and onion cream cheese - Everything bagel with smoked gouda - Jalapeños bagel with cheese -2 Creamy mushrooms croissants - 3 Everything and egg breakfast croissants My goodness! The texture of bagels, the fluffiness, the freshness, the rich flavors, the creative filling or toppings are phenomenal! Everything was heavenly delicious and impressive. For drinks, we got strawberry Matcha latte. It was creamy, perfectly sweetened and refreshing drink. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The service was fast. Definitely, it's worth the hype. This place is good, but not a must go again if there is a line and/or long wait in my opinion. Because we waited about 30 minutes for the bagels, we ordered about 6-7 bagels to munch throughout the day. The standout was the strawberry shortcake. It tasted like the Good Humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bar. What a cool bagel flavor. What I thought I would like but thought it was too intense was the bagel with the garlic butter. It had raw garlic in it, which was an unpleasant surprise to me and wasn't my favorite. Honorable mentions are black sesame and matcha crumble. The black sesame bagel reminds me of tang yuan dessert. Overall not bad, but to me it isn't worth the wait. I'll just wait until the hype dies down. read more

Had this bakery on my list for a while and finally made it out. I waited about 20 mins in line - it moved very quickly. There were soooo many pastries and options that I had a hard time choosing. The staff were super sweet and helpful. I loved all the pastries I got but the matcha was very sweet. It's definitely a small and cute shop but great. read more
A must try if you love bagels and open to try new flavors. We went there around 8:45 on a Sunday morning. Maybe because it was sprinkling, we were able to get in fairly quickly. Fairly small but some seating at a table in the middle of the room as well as some stools along the wall. We got the tomato basil pesto bagel, sour cream green onion and garlic bagel, pecan cinnamon bagel, egg and pesto danish and a chocolate scone. Everything was very good. Our favorite was the tomato pesto bagel. Had a lot of flavor with small pieces of sun-dried tomato mixed into the filling. The sour cream onion and garlic bagel was good with cloves of roasted garlic mixed into the filling. The pecan cinnamon is great if you want more of a sweet treat. We also liked the matcha latte. It had the right amount of sweetness. Would love to try some of their other drinks next time. Everyone was friendly and the space was clean. A nice large bathroom is also available for customers. read more

I have been wanting to try this place since they opened but have been deterred by the long lines. I came Friday around 2:30/3pm. There was 5 people ahead of me. There were some bagel flavors left & 3 different pastries. I opted for 3 bagels - blueberry, black sesame, and matcha crumble. I enjoyed the blueberry & black sesame bagels. The matcha crumble wasn't as good. The cream cheese part didn't impress me. I also have been wanting to try their cinnamon rolls but they were sold out at this time so I will have to wait til another time. The bagels cost around $6.50-7.50 each which seems pricey but they aren't plain bagels so I think the price can be justified as croissants and other Viennoiserie are at this price point. The drinks looked good but I didn't feel like buying any since I already had my caffeine beverage from another place. read more

Came here to try their bagels. The place is small and has limited seating. Although the line was out the door and around the corner the wait wasn't too bad. The variety of bagels they have was amazing and they all looked sooo good. read more
I went here on Saturday morning around 10am and there was a line of about 10 people waiting outside. It was hot and sunny and thank goodness they had white paper umbrellas for us to use while we wait. There was SO many delicious pastries to choose from! I went for a couple stuffed bagels (soft and fluffy, better enjoyed there), their garlic bread with garlic cream (so good!), and a cream cheese danish. I opted for the Matcha Einspanner and it was pretty good. Creamy and the right amount of sweetness for me. Ambiance was cute, and I would have enjoyed it more had it not been too crowded. That's a good problem to have on their end though :) Would come again. Street parking and lot parking nearby. read more

I thought this was a pretty solid Taiwanese-style bakery, and the bagels are definitely the star. Don't skip the matcha items, the matcha crumble bagel and the matcha Einspänner were my personal favorites. The roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar bagel was also really good. We also grabbed a few extra bagels and pastries to share with family. The quality is good, though I'd recommend enjoying them the same day, since the texture and flavor weren't quite the same the next day. I do wish they leaned more into being a place where people can actually sit and enjoy their food rather than just a grab-and-go bakery. Dining in felt a little odd, we basically had to tear open the paper bag to use as a plate, and there wasn't much service. Overall, a solid bakery with great bagels, just best enjoyed fresh! read more
Soo good! Be prepared for a long line on weekends, but know that it moves fast~ If you were wondering what's the difference between the cloud drinks vs einspanner, it's just in the foam - cloud drinks come with flavored foam (matcha vs hojicha) and the einspanner is a sweet cream foam. read more
Stopped by on a warm Easter morning. There was a line outside but it moved along. We got some bagels and croissants and some cold drinks. The everything egg breakfast croissant had pesto and was a little salty but very savory and filling! Their speciality drinks were very sweet and creamy. These are more Taiwanese style pastries so not as "tough" as traditional New York style bagels. They're more airy and have a milk bread like texture. Delicious brunch! read more
Parked next to it, 15 mins street parking for $0.51. Waited 20 minutes on a Saturday morning around 11 AM. So I was panicking when I parked on the side. Ordered coffee einspanner, matcha einspanner, black sesame bagel and garlic butter cream cheese bagel. ONLY THING I would come back for is the GARLIC BUTTER CREAM CHEESE BAGEL (200%). Matcha einspanner (@50% sweetness) is okay~ not the worst but also not the best. Missing something. read more
These Taiwanese bagels are worth the hype, be ready for a long line especially on weekends. The selection is huge and everything was delicious. The flavor, creativity, presentation, and texture were all amazing. The black sesame and Mexican street corn bagels were my favorite. Finally stopped by this iconic place on a Wednesday morning and the wait was not bad at all! There were still so many options available and I got the Everything Bagel w/Gouda and the Tiramisu Croissant. The bagel was perfect with the gouda and cream cheese filling and I loved every bite! The tiramisu croissant was perfect and I like how the crispy croissant and filling went well together. It wasn't too sweet either! I have been hearing about this new bagel shop for some time now - there has been a bit of buzz about it. They have a garlic cream cheese bagel that I really wanted to try. And I was expected long lines. It is in Old Town Pasadena so parking can be tight, but I went early afternoon on a weekday and found a meter spot. The staff there gave some parking tips for a nearby garage. These bagels already come filled with cream cheese in the middle, or is inside. And it is not the small tubs you used to get from bagel shops years ago. This is fluffy and flavored cream cheese, and an ample amount of it. They were out of the bagel I wanted to try but suggested the burnt onion bagel, which had similar flavors. The bagel rolled in scallions caught my eye - it looked like an everything bagel but I am not certain. I lifted the top half to find some roasted or confit garlic pieces on top, which I loved. I was going straight home so no worries about the breath. :) The black sesame bagel also looked striking and the flavor sounded great. This one was filled and the cream cheese was rolled in black sesame seeds. Genius! The filling on my particular bagel was a bit uneven and the first few bites were dry. But I appreciated it more with every bite. I also got the kouign amann which had a sort of bucket shape. There is a thick hard sugar shell. I personally found it a bit dry and tough compared to the traditional French version but it was still good. The star for me was the hojicha pillow drink. It was topped with an airy green tea foam and the whole drink tasted like something you would have in Tokyo. I will say, I found everything slightly pricey, and was charged even more for oat milk, but it was excellent. The bagels are also pricier than one would expect but they definitely give off a premium and handmade vibe. The shop is modern, light and airy with a communal table in the middle to eat there. They do a great job with crowd control and let 2-3 customers in at a time so you can see the lovely creations perfectly. The staff was very nice, particularly the gentleman who was not behind the counter. We had a nice chat and he really knew his stuff. I will be back for the garlic flavor and perhaps the strawberry one too. read more
The line was insaneeee but the staff offered umbrellas while we waited which was really sweet. It was my first time here and I was a little overwhelmed by the options. My friends and I got a little bit of everything to try, but my favorite bites were probably the green onion croissant and the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. I'm a hugeeee onion fan so I appreciated the amount of green onions they piled on. Definitely needed a piece of gum after though :P The place is a bit tight and seating is quite limited considering how busy they get, but there's a park right across the street where you can go to enjoy your baked goodies :) read more
Finally got to check this place out! Go here when you're not in a rush because you will definitely be waiting in line. On weekends expect at least a 30 min wait. It's a pretty small place but they did an amazing job at keeping up with the crowds and having all their best sellers throughout the day. Spoke with the team leader as well, Austin, you can tell he's very passionate about what he does and actually cares about the community thinks about his business and staff. The matcha here is amazing too, good quality and not just relying on the strawberry to carry it. If you've been interested in this spot i'd recommend checking it out. read more
Came around opening time at 8am on a weekday and only waited about 5 mins to order! This new spot from Taiwan specializes in bagels while also serving other pastry items, each at about $7. They only allow a few customers at a time so the line can look long, but it moves relatively quickly. There is limited seating inside and they package everything to go. I tried their black sesame bagel and their tomato and herb bagel and the flavors were on point! Black sesame bagel - 8/10: I love anything black sesame so this really drew me in. At first bite the flavor of the black sesame was nicely balanced with the cream cheese. The inside was fluffy which I loved but I didn't enjoy the crust which was a bit too tough and hard to break into. Tomato herb and cheddar bagel - 9/10: this was served warm and it was so delicious with the herb dough and tomato filling, and a nice crackly crust. I would definitely recommend trying this one if you're looking for a delicious savory bagel. Overall I enjoyed the bagels and had a good experience though their sweet bagels are just okay to me. $7 is definitely pricey for a bagel but their flavors are really unique which was cool to experience. I've also tried their green onion croissant in a previous visit and that was amazing so I think I enjoy their savory goods most! read more
This bakery pops! Located in old town Pasadena, it has some of the best bagels! We really enjoyed their garlic butter cream cheese bagel. That was so good warmed up. Their other options were also great, but that one stood out the most. The coffee was also a good option. The line wasn't too bad, just bring an umbrella because you're right under the sun. read more
Definitely worth the hype. Get there early to (try and) beat the line. Similar to 85° bakery, they will bring bagels and pastries out as they are made so they may not always have the item you're hoping for. If you get lucky enough, get the garlic pull apart bagel! Absolutely heavenly if you're a garlic lover. My boyfriend and I also tried the sour cream and onion as well as the black sesame bagels. The sour cream an onion was well portioned without spilling while the black sesame did what Miopane is known for- the "filling" bagels. I've gotta say, each bite was perfect! We were too excited about the bagels to snap pics but we'll get em next time! read more

This Taiwanese import has gotten a lot of buzz lately. I passed by it on the way to dinner nearby and the line was about 2 storefronts long. After dinner the line was just 2 parties; it was close to or beyond their 5 pm closing time, yet still crowded. There's minimal seating inside. At this late hour, they mostly had bagels to offer. There's a sign at the door that asks you to wait there until called so a staffer can walk with you through the line, answer your questions and pick out your choices, but it looks like a lot of folks ignore the sign. When I visited the clientele was 99% Asian. Here's what I chose, listed in order of preference: 1) Sour cream onion cream cheese bagel. Delish, fully filled with cream cheese and lots of scallions, plus cloves of roasted garlic. 2) Kouign Amann. A nice version of the classic pastry, suitably flaky with a burnt sugar crust. 3) Chocolate chip cookie. Large and tasty, with appropriately crispy edges and a chewy centre. 4) Blueberry cream cheese bagel. The only disappointment. There were a few blueberries, but precious little cream cheese within. It seems like what little cream cheese there is is kind of piped in before baking; it's certainly not sliced and spread on afterwards. Overall a decent place to add to the several "hot" trending bakeries in Pasadena. I'd like to try their morning pastries some day, but would not wait over 30 minutes. read more
I waited for the initial hype to die down before finally trying Miopane, a Taiwan-style filled-bagel shop. There's metered street parking, but it's cheap and easy to pay through Passport Parking. I waited about 30 minutes to order. The line was medium-length and mostly in the sun, but it looped around so we got some shade. You wait until they call you up, then walk down the line past all their many pastries. Once inside, the huge display of bagels, croissants, buns, and cookies felt like pastry heaven. The space is bright, warm, and cozy. I went a little overboard with the bagels, but the staff was super friendly and patient. After grabbing everything, you pay at the register on the right. There's a restroom next to the shared bench seating, drinks are picked up on the left near the entrance, and napkins/utensils are by the register. The bagels have a nice chew but are lighter and fluffier than a typical American bagel. I liked that each one had a generous amount of filling, so the flavors actually stood out. The sweet ones (black sesame cream cheese, mango cream cheese, matcha crumble, strawberry shortcake, strawberry cold foam matcha) were good, but didn't wow me as they reminded me of Asian bakery breads- definitely good but not exactly new. The savory ones (whipped tomato!, roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar, everything with smoked gouda) were more satisfying flavor-wise. I recommend trying the huge cinnamon roll, which was moist and pillowy. The tiramisu croissant was unique, with a nice hit of espresso in the center. The hojicha pillow was a 10/10 for me. They definitely hook you up with the hojicha foam, and my cup was filled to the brim. The hojicha itself was concentrated and smooth though still fairly sweet even at 50% sugar. Overall, the food didn't totally blow me away. But if you want to bless your eyes with pastries, carb load, and grab a solid caffeinated drink then Miopane is definitely worth trying at least once. read more
Miopane is a small quaint bakery from Taiwan that has recently gone viral in Pasadena. Primarily specializing in bagels, they are made in small fresh batches throughout the day until they are sold out. Each bagel or baked item is around $7 each. The line looks long because they only allow a few customers inside to order at a time. It can move quickly especially since there is a limit of 4-5 items per person. Inside seating is limited and probably best to take it to go. I was fortunate to queue up on a weekday with a wait time of about 20 minutes. Highly recommend bringing an umbrella since the line is on the sunny side of the building. I ordered a tomato and herb cheddar bagel, sticky bun, everything bagel, and hojita Einspanner to wash it down. The tomato and herb cheddar bagel was fantastic; warm, fluffy and tasty. It was soft at first bite and melted in my mouth. The hojita Einspanner was so darn delicious. It was nutty, creamy, sweet and gave my tastebuds a lot of happiness. The sticky bun tasted stale; hard, chewy in all the wrong ways, and too sweet. I waited until the next day to eat the everything bagel and it was okay. It was still softer than most bagels but it wasn't anything special. Definitely would not pay $7 for it again. Overall, I think the hype is mainly because the bagels come out freshly made. Of course a bagel is going to taste amazing when it's fresh out of the oven. However the next day it's just an ordinary bagel. I probably wouldn't wait in line again for the bagels. They are yummy but just not worth the hype especially in waiting in the sun. There are bakeries close by with soft freshly made bagels without the line. read more
Miopane's Taiwanese-style bagels are the hottest new thing in Pasadena. In addition to bagels, they have coffee and pastries. The bagels are soft and chewy with the cream cheese inside. The cream cheese is a bit thick and not really tangy like a traditional cream cheese, and ends up being a creamy filling. We enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake, Cranberry, Double Cheese, Everything with Gouda, Sundried Tomato, and Milk Crumble. We were impressed that we liked both sweet and savory bagel options. I also bought a Sticky Bun for a friend, which was massive in size and she complimented it. The bagels don't seem to lend themselves to storing (e.g. freezing and reheating) the way you might with traditional bagels, so I don't recommend over-buying. There were some misses. The Garlic Bagel (Caelic Bagel style) had chopped raw garlic mixed into the cream cheese and the sharp bite was overwhelming and pungent. The Maple Green Onion Croissant looked like it could be amazing but that was salty to the point of inedible. Both of those were thrown away. Because we liked so many of Miopane's offerings and they outweighed the two bad ones, I'm still a big fan. They really need to rework the recipes for the Garlic Bagel & Maple Green Onion Croissant because it is a shame that those were thrown away and wasted, especially at their high price point. Ambiance: busy even on a Tuesday, not much space to wait for your drinks, line moved at an average speed Service: they gave umbrellas outside which was a nice touch since it was so hot Food: the bagels are really good, better than a fresh Einstein bagel. The flavors are unique, the cream cheese paired with the bagel isn't overpowering. For the pastries, great lamination on the croissants. I really wanted to like the maple glazed green onion croissant, but I didnt really get much of the maple tones. The tiramisu croissant Danish was well done, not overly sweet and with a lot of textural contrast. The matcha einspanner was good, matcha was of high quality but I do wish the drink tasted more cohesive with the cream. Overall, the bagels are great, there are even better options for pastries in pasadena at the same price point. read more
Lines were very long but I came expecting that. Not sure if the bagels and pastries were worth the cost and wait. Bathroom is so nice and clean lol. Came on a Saturday at 8am (when they open) and had a ~45 min-1hr wait. Not counting this against them in my rating cuz it's not their fault that they're so popular. Everything looked amazing and they were well organized! It was pricier than I expected though: I ordered 4 bagels and a cinnamon roll for a total of over $40 (so like ~$8 per pastry). Service was surprisingly very good despite the busy-ness! The cinnamon roll was fat, rich, and sweet. Perfect guilty pleasure type food. It was delicious. Now, onto the bagels (which were kinda dry in comparison): Mango bagel: had bits of mango in it and cream cheese. It was ok but gives 85 degree vibes. Tomato and herbs: great! Kinda like pizza without the cheese and sauce. Very flavorful. Garlic cream cheese?: couldn't hear what the guy said it was but I picked out that it was like the garlic cream cheese one. This one just looked like it had red chili powder on top or something. Tasted like a basic whipped garlic cream cheese basic. Milk crumble: very yummy! Had like a sweet milk paste inside. Low-ish rating because of the dryness of the bagels and I think the flavors are creative but some of them could be refined. read more
Pasadena, California. Could never get in to Mio Pane since the line is halfway down the block in the 10 times Ive driven by. And they close at 3? What the heck? This last weekend , I walked by at 4 and Lo' the front door was open. I dashed in and focused on the 1 onion bagel left. I saw croissants coming out of the ovens too and thought I will snag a couple of those too. He asked me if I wanted to eat it there and went it's 4 o'clock, aren't you guys closed? No, you grabbed the last bagel and we will let you eat it here. If you prefer, I will make it for you. I was surprised. Whats there to make? And replied OK! He heated my onion bagel and I forgot to ask for cream cheese. Right before asking, I bit into the bagel to sample it, and whoah the bagel was stuffed with cream cheese !!! The cream cheese was layered with oregano leaves too so super delish. IIt is one of the tastiest bagels Ive ever had. Ever! It was nicely chewy the onion topping toasted nicely and the stuffed cream cheese was pure love. For takeaway, I ordered a plain croissant and a maple glazed/ topped croissant. When I got home, I couldn't wait so I tried the maple croissant, I again was blown away. I appreciate authentic croissants, but these took it to another level. This maple topped wonder was light, the crust visibly multi layered, a slight crunch on top and the most delicious maple glaze. I was in heaven. The plain croissant the morning was perfect in every way also flaky, the pastry layers were visible like a sfogliatelle, and with a thick slice of butter, my eyes looked up to God in thanks. Tried out this trendy, new Taiwanese bagel shop for the first time last weekend. Showed up at 8:40am and the line was already out the door and around the corner. Smh. . Parking in the area was also tricky, which was a shock for me especially it being before 9am on a Sunday. Luckily, the line moved quickly and I was able to be helped within 6 min or so. I chose 3 different stuffed bagels which were the blueberry and cream (my fave), sesame with gouda (very salty), and the almond croissant. Forgot to order a matcha but will try the next time. Cost about $22 total. Service was fast and friendly. read more

Stopped by over the weekend and there was a short line. They had lots of flavors and options to choose from. I tried the garlic bagel and the matcha pillow, and both were really good. I'd definitely come back to try more flavors. The matcha reminded me of the one from Rok Matcha in Koreatown. There are limited indoor seats so it can feel cramped when it's busy. read more
