Came here today for a skin infection. I was expecting a long wait at Urgent Care but luckily came…read morein a perfect time with only one person ahead of me. Seen by the Dr in less than 30 mins. The front desk staff and medical staff who took my vitals were both friendly, prompt and helpful! While my vitals were being checked, the attending physician, Dr. Peterson chimed in as we joked around, she recognized me at the yoga place we both attend. Funny, I didn't recognize her but recognized me. I was so nervous going in but after the initial introduction at the hallway with Dr. Peterson, I felt much more at ease while she treated the infection. She was very thorough, attentive and took great length to explain the aftercare at home and medication for the infection. I highly recommend this Urgent Care in Olathe on 134th Street for the quality care they provide. ~ M. Lightner

I took my son here after a foot injury. Like most of us, the thought of waiting what seemingly…read morefeels like forever at an Urgent Care or ER only to be told everything is fine, take some ibuprofen and rest is reason enough to postpone seeing a doctor for as long as possible. But my son needed to be seen. I called the facility twice and spoke to a delightful woman on the other end who answered my questions and gave me directions. She wasn't pushy or rude despite calling more than once. The interactions with the front desk staff, the nurse (Susan ?), the x-ray tech (Amy?) and the doctor was extremely pleasant. They were patient, kind, and didn't seem to rush or cut corners. Even though the foot wasn't broken and we ended up leaving with an air cast and the rest/ice run down, I felt the appointment was productive and was confident with the diagnosis and recommendations given. Fast forward, we needed a note for school. The original fax didn't go through correctly. I called the next day to ask if they could resend the note. Now, I know they were busy because they put me on hold. Despite this, the receptionist who answered the phone was kind, responsive, and quick to resend the information I needed. Not once did I feel like I was an inconvenience which is rare in the world of medicine. Patience and kindness make such a big difference. Thanks for making what could have been a miserable experience all around, a pleasant one.

I have had only exceptional experiences with Dr. Rahto and his team taking great care of my health needs. But yesterday was especially important for me as I came into the office in crisis mode regarding my health issues and how that has/is impacting my job/career, my life, and my future - and they made sure that I was well taken care of and spent the extra time with me in order to do so. They were incredibly professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely compassionate - something that's rare to find these days as most other medical experiences make you feel like just a number. They made me feel like family. Hayley took the extra time and attention to detail to help me fill out medical paperwork and I felt truly cared for and supported every step of the way. She was incredibly patient with me as I asked many questions and knowledgeable in guiding me through it - I appreciate that more than you know. Thank you all again for the exceptional care and kindness - you've earned every one of these five stars!

Signed up for a slot to be seen because I was worried that I had a punctured ear drum. 7/17/2022…read more The nurse practitioner called me before I came in at 9:12am. She was very dismissive and even after hearing what happened to me the last time I had a puncture (horrible pain, horrible bilateral infection, had to have a procedure done by an ENT, 3 rounds of antibiotics, pain meds, couldn't hear, and panic attacks), told me she would not prescribe an oral antibiotic because it was too soon for an infection to have developed and "that's not how antibiotics work." She stated that even for a perforation, ear drops are not recommended. When I asked what could be the possible reason that I was in excruciating pain just 4 hrs after the rupture happened last time if infections take 2 days to develop, the response was "It doesn't look like you were seen by anyone in Saint Luke's Health System for that, so I would be unable to comment on what happened before, I can only address what's happening now." She said there would not be anything she could do for me since I did not have an infection yet. The implication was clearly "Don't come in." Not a bit of compassion. I saw a doctor at a different urgent care who told me the nurse practitioner's medical advice was INCORRECT and unprofessional. She was concerned that it was someone in her system and if it had been she would have "called and yelled at them". Her words. My drum was not perforated, yet the doctor prescribed me antibiotic ear drops prophylactically based on my history. I would not trust the bit@h you have working there to treat my DOG. In the words of Big Sean, "I don't fu$k with you, you little stupid a$$ bit@h I ain't fuc$king with you."
