The front desk staff was pleasant and I didn't have to wait long, probably the only positives of going here. I was taken back to a room and shortly after a female PA came in. She literally looked me in the face and said "I'm not sure what you came here expecting" as if I had hobbled into my dentists office and told them I'd hurt my knee. She didn't touch my knee once or do any sort of exam, just had one of the nurses take me for an x-ray (which showed nothing). Then when she returned with the results she said "you may have injured your meniscus." Again, this was done without doing any sort of exam whatsoever. She then told me she'd wrap it in an ace bandage and told me to try going to an orthopedist. The two minutes she took to wrap my knee was the extent of her coming within 5 feet of me! Wrapping my knee in an ace bandage was probably the worst thing for me because it only made the pain worse! I would have been better off taking my $75 co-pay and lighting it on fire instead of wasting my time here.

I waited more than two hours to see a doctor even though there were only two people ahead of me. My appointment itself took about three minutes. I really only needed to get a bad cold/cough checked out to make sure it wasn't turning into bronchitis (it's not, luckily) so it felt silly to wait so long for such a comparably minor ailment. Otherwise, it's fine and takes my insurance. This is my second visit and the only one that had such a ridiculously long wait time. Just wish staff were more communicative about how long it takes to see a doctor.

In hindsight, there is a reason this clinic had so much availability. I went in with my 7 year old son who was admittedly in worse shape than he was when he was dropped off to school. The LPN looked at his pulse ox, his heart rate and took his temperature. He quickly called in the RN, Erika who immediately said she was going to call an ambulance. I burst into tears and while trying to process what I'm being told.. this NURSE is standing over me making judgmental and cold comments. Questioning why he was sent to school and saying he should not have been. Not once did she console me or him in any way. I felt so scared and alone and to top it off... judged and humiliated by her behavior. Fast forward two weeks and I receive a bill for $139 for absolutely no services administered. Thank god for the emt's, two very young very kind women, who administered treatment to my son and made us both feel relief. I will literally never go back to this clinic. I really thought CVS was better than this.

PA came in pretty quickly- didn't really listen either and when I asked if he could tell me what was going on (was it from a bug bite or something I ingested) he went on to man-splain what an allergic reaction was. You think? Gosh I had no idea that the huge welts and growing itching was an allergic reaction- my body reacting. But - he did give me two shots and he was excellent- no pain whatsoever. Now I am waiting so he can check on me and send me on my way ...overall it was fine in a pinch when out of town and in need. He didn't want to start a conversation because, I'm sure he figured that I won't be back.

That was my dilemma, and my first instinct was to go to my old reliable clinic. But after waiting 10 minutes with no end in sight, I realized Premier was right down the street. Mind you, I hadn't been in the building since it was a Krispy Kreme. But I digress. So off I went, and the difference was night and day. Wide open waiting area with only one other patient. I filled out my paperwork and took a seat, and within minutes found myself in an exam room. Shortly thereafter I was off to the pharmacy to pick up some sweet sweet drugs. Bottom line: Premier will be my old reliable going forward. Top notch service and professionalism from every person I encountered. That's the way to do urgent care correctly!
