So I ussally go to Gerdau in Fargo to sell my aluminum. I only save up less than 100 pounds and…read morethey want me to weigh it on a scale that weighs in increments of 20 lbs. So I decided to bring it to another smaller yard that ive gone to twice to sell random stuff other places wont buy ( circuit boards, cell phones, computer bays ect..) So as I wheel up over 300 lbs of differnt stuff, half alum, brass, magnesium, copper, ect. onto the scale I sit and wait for about 10 minutes while he's weighing everything out. I feel like im a hassle to them. Just the feeling I got. Anyhow an older gentleman sitting over in the corner waives me over politely with a hand gesture. I walk over to him and these are his exact words " Your not gonna walk out of here with any money. I promise you wont get paid." ME " The hell I wont get paid in a frustrated voice after spending 15 minutes hauling 300lbs in 90F weather onto the scale. Instantly in a rather disrespectful tone I ask the guy your gonna pay me for all that stuff before I leave right. His exact words. "YOu will have to come back later when the owner is here." I know for a fact he is the owner. He pays cash out of pocket for stuff and their phone number is a direct line to his cell phone. SO in a huff I tell him im bringing all my stuff on the scale still somewhere else and he better go get everything he's weighed and threw into bins for me or in calling the police there and reporting fraud and theft. He instantly goes I will pay you for the stuff I already weighed. SO I gather up all my stuff and go somewhere else. Got the 50 in cash and will never go there again. Horrible business. Made me feel stupid for bringing him a bunch of scrap and asking a few questions I had. LIke I was watsing their time giving them business. Then to find out I was getting conned and scammed. Then the only review on here for his business is from a guy who says the owner wrote him a bad check. SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. MY GUESS IS HE'S WAY BEHIND ON PAY ROLL AND ABOUT TO GO UNDER. whY THE HELL ELSE WOULD YOU TREAT A POTENIAL NEW CUSTOMER LIKE THAT. liKE I said I had only been there twice to sell maybe 5 dollars worth of stuff each time. He never took an id and each time just handed me a 5 spot out of his pocket. He asked me if I was a new custmer there and made a copy of my ID at the start of everything which I thought was standard. BUt im thinking he had other reasons for taking my ID. ANYHOW AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. alL HE HAD TO DO WAS NOTIFY ME RIGHT AWAY THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PAY OUT FOR ANYTHING AT THIS TIME AND IF i WANTED TO GET PAID iD HAVE TO COME BACK LATER. tHEN i CAN MAKE THE CHOICE TO RISK GETTING SCREWED AND HAVING TO GO TO CIVIL COURT. whICH WOULDNT HAPPEN OVER 150 $. SO THATS PROLLY HIS SCAM KNOWING PEOPLE WONT TAKE HIM TO COURT OVER SMALL AMOUNTS. tELLS THE PEOPLE EXCUSES AND THEN BY THE TIME THEY REALIZE THEY GOT CONNED, ITS A CIVIL MATTER AND NOT A CRIMINAL MATTER.

Great customer service. They went over and above to help us find what we needed (measuring height,…read morewidth, etc). Price was great. We got a wheelchair for half the price. Unsure of the cost of the other things. It's a great organization to help people in need - highly recommend. The store is neat, clean, and very organized - easy to find things. When we no longer need the wheelchair, we'll donate it back so someone else can use it. Thanks HERO for being there.
