I love MiniPaw Spa! I have two tiny terrors and I'm always anxious they might give a terrible time at a groomer's but when they go here they become angels! I'm very picky about my poodle's look because not all groomers can do a poodle cut very well. Some will completely flatten the head, some will leave the face too long, etc. MiniPaw always knows how to make my poodle look perfect! Moreover my dog has an innocuous fat deposit near her rib and the groomer noticed it and asked me to get it checked out. Talk about going above and beyond! This place is amazing and I TRULY cannot recommend it enough. Jessica is so amazing to my senior dog and you can tell she is truly an animal lover. My dog is always handled with care and is given to me in a timely manner. You can call to make an appointment but I prefer online booking and am happy they have that feature because I can see what days are available and I can set it up a week in advance on my own time! There is also a decent parking lot which is really nice for the valley. Precious will go here for the remainder of his days but I wish I knew about this place sooner! read more

Let me tell you, what a huge disappointment. I cried when I saw what they did to my dog. My Golden needed a full grooming and I came back to find an almost bald dog. We should have never assumed that all groomers know how to cut a specific breeds fur. I have never encountered this anywhere! Not to mention how incredibly rude and unprofessional the staff was when I called to complain. I'm all for supporting local small businesses but not this one after this Nightmare. My poor buddy. **UPDATE: First things first, let's clarify even further... I was not present for the drop off or pick up, not sure why that is relevant? Hence, why I called. Any who, my husband explained he agreed to have a 1/4 inch trim taken off not a shave! Maybe you should hold some accountability for how you failed to communicate thoroughly. If you were confused on what was asked of you, then maybe you should learn to use your phone to clarify instructions. If you felt the haircut was going to be difficult, you could have called us before proceeding after your assessment. We would have GLADLY picked him up. His tumors have been with him for the past 5 years and NEVER has this affected his grooming experience. Tumors and arthritis have nothing to do with a trim. Poor excuse for an "experienced" groomer... It's pointless arguing with someone who is not accountable for their actions. My experience wasn't a positive one and the groomers defensiveness and lack of accountability continues to make it a negative experience. My husband tipped as a courtesy, not a job well done, if anything we should have been refunded for this. read more

For the first time today I took my Ruby to get groomed by Jessica. I had mentioned to her how Ruby had anxiety and she gets very nervous cause she was adopted and has trust issues. I dropped her off worried like I was dropping off my child on her first day of school. Anyways an hour later I texted them to check on her and they sent me a video of Ruby showing me she was okay. I have known Jessica for quite sometime. When I was looking for someone to help groom our dog, it wasn't easy. Our dog has anxiety issues and we had a lot of problems of groomers who could not only handle our pet but didn't want to even deal with it. So, when I found Jessica, it was a breath of fresh air. I was a client of the previous owner for many years and decided to continue to have my dogs groomed at MiniPaw Spa just to see what the quality and pricing would look like. Bella and Ginger were always excited to go to the groomer and this behavior has continued even after the change in ownership. I believed this is a testament of Jessica's professionalism, skill set, and overall loving nature with all of the fur babies in her care. She is very patient and gentle which creates a calm environment for my dogs (which can be a bit anxious at times). Her prices are reasonable, she is efficient, and she does fantastic work. We've come to this dog groomer location on and off since we moved to Lake Balboa in 2014. The family that owned it before was ok with their services so we weren't consistent in grooming with them. They didn't groom our dogs well and we're a tough bunch to get right (at that time we had 1 Maltese and 2 Huskies) so I get it. But, since Jessica and her Husband took over a little bit ago we've had such a great experience with them! We now have 3 Huskies and they groom them sooooo well! They know how to groom the breed and do it in such a timely manner. Very minimal shedding and they always get the undercoat brushed out well. They're also very kind and loving to our babies and it shows. The babies don't freak out when we drop off or pick up and it's great to see them interact so well with them. We love MiniPaw Spa! We have been taking our little Lucy girl there since they opened their shop on White Oak and we are very happy. I actually like MiniPaw Spa better than the previous groomer that had the same location..... I forget what the name was. Jessica is so sweet and gentle. Our dog has not always had the best grooming experiences prior and had anxiety going to other groomers because they had made her bleed when cutting her nails or kept her in a crate for hours. We have never had any issues with Jessica. She is a dog whisperer. She is so good with Lucy and Lucy always comes out fresh and clean and smelling good. I have had my dog Lola groomed by Jessica a few times, not only is Jessica very professional, but she has a gift with dogs. My Lola is very submissive and gentle, so my concern when trying out a new groomer is that they are just as gentle with her. I am verrrrry protective of her, and I had zero qualms about handing Lola over to Jessica. She has a calming energy, great with her entire grooming service, and my husband and I absolutely loved it everytime Lola came back lookin shiny and new.
