We had purchased student tram tickets because we are both students. The ticket collector gets on the tram and asks to see our tickets. He then forces us to get off the tram, and uses his cell phone to call over two of his buddies. They demand to see my husband's ID and literally grabbed his credit card out of his hand. They fined us 122 zloty even though we both protested that we're students and didn't realize this would be a problem. We asked to see their identification so we could know their names and they refused. They harassed us and were so nasty. Thank god uber is cheap here!

Just my personal opinionated review...this is a great tour around the city! It's free but I gave a…read moretip to our guide anyways because he did work hard to explain all the attractions in details and asked interesting and didactic questions! Our tour started around the Castle Square/Royal Palace part of Warsaw. Then we went through the pedestrian street as our tour guide lead us to different monuments of heroes, artists, intelligent people in Poland. Then we stopped at the University of Warsaw. Loved the high bushes and garden! Next, we walked around the centrum boulevard and found out about this historic Jewish resident building...it's all broken and wore out now because it has been there since 1919! Our last stop was the well-known PALACE OF KULTURA AND NAUKI(Culture and Science Palace) Stalinist building that shines at night, also my profile photo! Our guide also showed us many images of Warsaw back in the 1920s before the invasion/WWII and after WWII...it was bitter sweet but to my surprise, I found my CHINESE BANK THERE-BANK OF CHINA! That made me feel like home~!
