At first it may seem like, "Whoa, a daycare in an apartment?" But Ms. Davanna and her team have truly curated a space that is clean, bright, welcoming, and fosters learning. When I brought my 3-year-old son for a brief tour before enrolling him, he was immediately drawn to the artwork on the walls and the toys that were available. What I especially appreciated: - the small class size, optimizing teacher-student interaction and care - engaging lessons and materials for the students - Ms. Davanna has a calendar and varies learning themes each month which is really great - multiple opportunities for learning while playing - very limited screen time - healthy and nutritious meals with weekly menus that offered variety so that kids didn't get bored - use of the Brightwheel app to keep all communications and sharing of updates in one place - Affordable price point, considering the number of hours of care and the quality of care provided Ms. Davanna herself is very professional and it's clear that she's an experienced educator. As the class had a range of ages, the teachers differentiated instruction to meet each child where they were. Having been a teacher myself for several years, this is NOT an easy task, but Ms. Davanna and her team made it look effortless. My son was potty-training at the time, and because he's only 3, was going through a range of big feelings each day. The teachers were very patient with him, and kept me updated on his daily progress and shared pics of his activities via the app which I appreciated. Ms. Izzy is really loving and thoughtful, and Ms. Jennifer was always willing to go above and beyond. I was even able to bring my younger son to the class for a day just to see what it was like for him, and he really enjoyed himself. I can tell that my elder son had a delightful experience and even though we live in Atlanta now, he still talks about his time at Seeds & Sprouts with fondness and excitement. I really wish I could have brought Seeds & Sprouts with me when we moved, cuz it's a struggle to find quality care down here! Overall I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great place for their kiddos.

But they both are fantastic! I was so worried... sending my baby to Pre-K, but they immediately put my mind at ease and my son learned so much and blossomed amazingly under their loving care and guidance!! There were field trips almost every single month (apple picking, pumpkin picking, shows and performances and local colleges, etc.) and the parents were allowed to go as chaperones, which to me is priceless!!!! We attended through the Universal Pre-K program, but they offer full time nursery/toddler and pre-k classes as well as after school programs, too!!! Highly recommend them!!!

Also, they have universal pre-K WITH after school available until 5.45pm and are actively working to get universal 3-K as well. Tuition is accessible to ALL. This is great for working and non-working parents. Staff is amazing! They're all committed to taking care of the kids and always provide very personalized feedback on my kids. They adapt their care to each kid, each personality and make sure everyone feels good. They were particularly helpful for potty training, and very patient too! The new director is really making sure all key information are well communicated to the parents and is always seeking for enhancements. They have a curriculum for each of the classes, starting at 2 year old. A typical day starts with music, breakfast and circle time. Then they have a learning activity. They would spend time outside is weather permitted. They do art projects, learn songs, dance,... Also, they have a huge outdoor private playground (very rare in Manhattan) where the kids can play. They have a lot of toys from slide to seesaw and even scooters. They provide lunch as well, made by a wonderful cook on the premises in an actual kitchen. Week menus are provided to the parents (there is always a fruit for desert). I'm so happy we discovered this daycare and I'm confident that my kids there are growing so well and are very safe. Also note that they handled the Covid crisis perfectly. They organized recurrent zoom meetings (3 per week) to make sure the kids don't disconnect from school. Thanks to the great staff again! I encourage anyone that is looking for a daycare to visit Eisman and see for themselves.

I recently removed my children from there after three months of their being enrolled. The main…read morereason was that one of my children kept coming home, saying that he was afraid to go to school, and considering that he had attended a different preschool prior to this, and never said anything like that, we were worried, we informed his teacher who basically dismissed it. We informed the Director of the school who accused me of lying. If I knew then what I know now I would have recorded every conversation I had with any member of that school especially the teacher of the three-year-olds. I am 100% positive that this teacher has lied to me and lied about certain things at least twice, and an audio recording of our conversations would validate everything I have to say. I protected my kids by pulling them out. You should protect yourself going in there. Legally, in the state of New York, you are allowed to record your conversations with another person without them knowing that you were doing so. This is a law that changes on a state-by-state basis. If I am a liar, then nothing bad happens if you record the conversation because there would be nothing to report. But since I'm positive I am not lying and I suspect I am not the only person who's gone through this, you should go ahead and start proactively recording your conversations with the teacher, because when they accuse you of lying, you can prove that you were telling the truth.

Anyone can enter the daycare using the parking lot elevator downstairs and walk straight into classrooms. Mya gossips and talks badly about other children's progress or disabilities to other parents against HIPPA laws and confidentiality. She claims to have a kitchen but in reality only has a fridge/microwave/sink. Doesnt follow food menu and serves food you would not want your kids to eat. Milk is promised for lunch but confirmed by multiple staff members it is often SPOILED and snacks are EXPIRED. We caught Mya lying regarding many issues and the one we cant overlook is having an illegitimate UPK class. She lied to parents about having a DOE approved UPK class when DOE confirmed she did not have one. Now parents are stuck mid year with a class mixed with 3 and 4 year olds and a teacher who is not certified. Do NOT be tricked! She will promise things she wont deliver!!

I just could not find anyone who seemed to be a good fit. I just happened to pass by The Chosen Generation DayCare on my way shopping. Well, I decided to stop by and boy was it the BEST decision I have ever made. As soon as I opened the door, Teacher Melissa Stroman greeted me with a smile and encouraged me to come in. I was taken back by how warm, friendly and cozy the set up was. The children were all so happy and I just knew this is where I needed to place my child. Melissa asked me so many questions about my family, routines, expectations on both sides that I ended up staying there for two hours. I enrolled her that following Monday. My baby at the time was 10 months old and now shes 14 months and I'm back at work fulltime. It was the best decision I could have made and it also made returning to work that much easier. After some time the school reopened. About a month after reopening the teacher that was removed was reinstated. My child was not involved in the incident and continued to attend. Upon speaking to a teacher during an interview I discovered awkward body language which told me there was more than meets the eye. About a couple of months went by and there was a new teacher's aid. She was not introduced to the parents. This woman did not look friendly which lead me to further investigate without the help of the school. At the students' graduation the school administrators Irene and Shirley and this particular woman that went by the name Ms. Janet did not not show up to celebrate this special moment with the students. Red flags After the last of school, I was contacted by a fellow parent stating that something serious happened at the school. I was told that Ms. Janet was hitting the children. The students were being abused by this monster. The following thought was the teachers have to have known. It broke my heart and made me mad. I write this review in hopes that you think twice about sending your child to this school if it ever reopens in the future which I hope it does not. The administration consist of young irresponsible women who do not have enough information to offer when it comes to staff members. Just a lot of ummmm uhhhh a Hamina ahamina and made up nonsense. And SHAME ON YOU TEACHERS FOR NOT PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN FROM THIS MONSTER. Kudos to the student that bravely spoke out. This review does not warrant an arrogant response. My daughter attended Aleph Bet for 5 months and I decided to not return in the fall this year for…read moreseveral reasons. They provided 1 day notice to parents about extensive demolition and construction while school was in session. Kids were moved into a basement room instead of their usual space. To take it one step further, they were painting right next door. We were very concerned about the paint smell and brought this up to Shirly, who assured us that it was fine. When we picked her up it really smelled like paint within the children's room. Several days later major demolition started in the building. There was a lot of dust in the common lobby. As we became more concerned of possibly hazardous conditions we asked the owners if any tests were conducted prior to starting demolition. Specifically if they tested for lead paint and asbestos, since it's a building from the 60's. They refused to share the results. I am in contact with the EPA and department of health and hygiene regarding this matter. Also, see picture of the children's bathroom, this is the only one (looks friendly, right?). I was not shown the bathroom during my tour and made the mistake of not having asked to see it. When I was ready to start potty training with my daughter I discovered this bathroom which looked more like a janitors closet and decided to postpone potty training. Hygiene is important and I would not want my child in a tight space with dirty mops and buckets within arm's reach. Also the light bulb wasn't working when I took this picture. Their yard is a nice play space, however it is infested with mosquitoes. My child came home with new bites ever day. The yard is lined with old AstroTurf that holds water for days. Instead of fixing the problem they sprayed the kids with bug spray daily. The last straw was when they refused to return my deposit of $880 after I decided to not bring my daughter back in the fall. When I registered my daughter it was based on the calendar dates they provided in the contract. After I realized the calendar was inaccurate and the dates did not work with my schedule I asked for a refund since my daughter would not be returning in the fall. When I confronted them they dismissed their error as a "clerical issue" for which I should be held financially responsible. They used words like "extortion" when I insisted on a refund of my deposit and "slander" when I was transparent about my plans to leave a negative review. Both of these are illegal and I don't think I've entered any criminal activity by writing my opinion, wanting to know if my daughter may have been exposed to any hazardous dust and asking for a refund based on an inaccurate contract which they provided. I will say that the staff provided good care to my daughter for the time she was there. Ms. Jenny, Ms.Cindy and Ms.Gina we're always great.
