I called Mini Mouths today July 31, 2024 to make an appointment for my daughter to fix a small cavity in her tooth. They said they cannot do. They have to first do X-ray, examination, consultation, look at all other teeth, etc. Charge me a lot of money. Then, maybe, they can schedule in the future another appointment with real dentist. An examination just takes few minutes. I ask why their dentist cannot do examination and fix my daughter tooth cavity during the same appointment. I guess they have a lot of people employed in that office who are not real dentists. They just want to charge me for something that we don't need. read more

We had an exceptional dental visit today. Dr. Marimoto and her assistant went above and beyond for my granddaughter. They were so kind, patient and attentive. They are gems. Samantha is superb. Had a problem with other dental offices for an appointment. Samantha stepped up to the plate and arranged the procedure at the office. Samantha is so kindhearted and thorough. My toddler is a new patient here and we had a wonderful experience! Making an appointment was a smooth process.This was my daughter's first time ever visiting a dentist. I really liked the Minnie Mouse decor set up. There's even arcade games in the waiting area. My daughter was definitely scared and put up quite a fight. This was all very new to her and pretty intimidating. But the whole staff was very patient with her. They definitely reassured her with stickers and toys to make her feel calm. Dr. Avman did a dental procedure for my daughter leas than 3 years ago. Under full sedation, paid over $3000 only to have her teeth extracted. Her crowns fell and new dentist said it was to bulky so it was only a matter of time. Her metal crown also has to be extracted. Not what my toddler should be going thru. Needless to say the trauma she has everything she goes just for a simple check. Parents, do you homework before going thru a big procedure. Beyond disappointed. read more

Would love to be a loyal patient to this office however last time I tried to make an appointment for my child they told me only morning appointments were available for a 4 year old (afternoons for a 5 year old). I called back a few months later and now children have to be 6 years old in order to get a 1-2pm appointment. We are also trying to book a simple cleaning not dental work. read more

ORIGINAL REVIEW (somehow the original was deleted): I was told when I first called to make the appointment that my insurance was accepted. I asked when I could get in, it was NOT an emergency. She said I could go the next day so I agreed. After filling out the new patient paperwork I asked the lady if I had a copay and she said no. After the appointment I left and soon after I got a call saying my insurance wasn't excepted and that I needed to pay the 60 dollar new patient special. I asked why I wasn't informed of this before as I would have never gone through with the appointment she said they didn't have time. I told her I didn't think it was fair to charge me after the fact when I was told he was covered and therefore I wasn't paying. So the lady said I would be charged $300 AND sent to collections. Don't tell me I'm excepted just to get me in and then charge me after. Maybe you shouldn't make appointments until you know for sure! I don't know what kind of experience this lady had but I have to say this is THE BEST pediatric dentist I have ever taken my son to. So much so, that I persuaded both my sisters and close friend to take their kids here. The staff is loving, warm and experienced in everything they do. My son can hardly wait for his next appointment. They have already fixed two cavities and he doesn't even blink. They have tv's mounted from the cealing for kids to be distracted during treatment. We are not even her patients but her willingness to act fast gave my daughter the chance to keep her tooth. I called Mini Mouth Dentist located in Coral Springs 5481 North University Drive Suite 102 Coral Springs Fl 33067 I spoke with a lady did not get her name, but she set a appointment for four of my kids to come in. On the next day another lady called me saying because of March 2018 my kids missed several appointments, there would be a additional fee of $50.00 I told them on yesterday when the appointment was set up no one ever advised me of that, she told me because the rep was in experience she was not train on that. I refused since especially several month later and they just decided to tell me this. I requested to have the doctor to call me. I got a call from a Doctor who started off talking decent. However after the call continue he became very rude, unprofessional and refuse to hear me out. only screaming and yelling telling me that it's the policy. I ask why was this not brought to my attention before hand. He never could answer the question. I ask him where did this appointments come from, how would I ever make 8 appointments when there is no way for my kids to go to the doctor that many times. He than stated that each time there was no show up, someone called so I ask him how would that be a failed appointment he than became very frustrated, started over talking me I really couldn't believe I was speaking with a doctor who deal with kids (my kids) to be talking to me in that manner. I became very Threatened! He scream saying I am dismissing all of your kids and your stupidity from my office. I than ask for his name he said Anderson I said full name he told me I'm not giving you anything!! You get a letter BYE Their Dismissed!! We just started at Mini Mouths a few months ago. First, the office is very inviting for kids. The set up with the Disney theme is right on their level, and they have movies for the kids to watch, so they are distracted while having their teeth cleanings and care. We had low wait times and the staff were very kind and friendly. I think that is the most important thing to me me as a mom. Oh and they always give you a proposed treatment plan, with the costs, so you know ahead of time if it will be covered by insurance or their is a cost to the patient. When we entered the Boca location my two small sons 7 & 6 year old we're excited!!!! For the first time ever in a dentist office ... They were in awe to see all the theatre theme office this Boca location has , there is a movie room which resemble a movie theatre the rooms where the kids get seen by the Doctor are decorated to appeal not only the kids but the parents too The Kids get their teeth clean first by the hygienist, very nice and very patient with my son that had a little of bit of issue with the x-ray . The dentist saw my sons which were delighted with the explanation that she gave them in regards to their teeth. Dr. Selin Avman is super nice!!!! When I took my 13 year old to see her , She explained everything to him, making feel important and ease his fears , he felt very comfortable and for the very first time had a nice first time visit with a Dentist!! After the visit is over the boys got a coin to exchange with some goodies ..As a parent I was very pleased to find a Dentist and a dentist' s office that my sons can go and feel comfortable with. We have always had great experiences with All of their staff and doctors. In fact we also decided to go with them for braces. They worked with me and my needs to help my daughter get her braces. My kids were refused service!!! My children have been going to Mini mouths for many years now. After waiting in the waiting room for 15 minutes then sitting in the chair for five minutes the dentist came in to discussed why my children should get x-rays. I again explained to her as I did the previous time that I don't want my children get x-rays. I have a 7 and 10-year-old and don't feel comfortable with x-rays. I was only there for a cleaning. She mentioned how she told me the last time I was in that the kids really needed x-rays. I told her I understand her position but for the time being I would rather not do that. My 10 year old had an x-ray done two years ago and I thought that was sufficient enough for now. My children have impeccable hygiene. They brush regularly and floss with a WaterPik. After seeing she couldn't convince me to get x-rays she said she spoke to the business owner and he or she told her not to perform the cleaning without it. I get it, the office is not going to make as much money off my children being that they won't charge my insurance for the x-ray but where is the customer service here??? I told her that she should've told me the last time I was in that if I came back and decided not to have x-rays, she could not do the cleaning. This way I wouldn't waste my afternoon coming in and subjecting my children to an awkward situation. I received no apology from the dentist nor any sympathy whatsoever. I can't say enough good things about the Coral Springs office. My kids have both been patients for 4 years now. My now 5 year old had a dental emergency when she was just 1 and I googled and called the first pediatric dentist I could fine at the time. They stayed late and handled the emergency with such care. Dr. Avman is so amazing with both of my kids, so much so that my daughter asked after her last cleaning when she could go back. I had asked Dr. Avman to recommend a dentist that I myself could go to or I was going to sit in one of those children's chairs and have her do my dental work as I loved her so much! She recommended someone who I also love. She, herself, is a five star dentist. She is very caring and patient with the kids (even when it's not easy) and she truly cares about them. I have been meaning to write this for awhile now, but after today's appointment I wanted to make sure that everyone knew how great this office is! read more

Poor Customer Service. I scheduled my 1 and 2 year old sons' appointment 6 months prior for 8am. I called the office to see if any other times were available for the scheduled day and was told that there was a note on the account to call me because as of 4 months ago they no longer have 8am apts. The office manager told me that I was going to be called 1 week prior to my scheduled apt to advise me of this and reschedule. However, I am unable to reschedule because they were all booked. Her attitude was very passive aggressive and she acted like she could care less about this situation. Why was I not contacted earlier? This place is a joke! I am extremely displeased with this staff & dr's. They say one parent is allowed in at a time and after I asked if I could join my husband and my autistic non verbal 3 year old in the office they told me no and didnt say anything to the other couple that went in with their toddler. So im just supossed to listen to my child cry his brains out from the waiting room?? On top of that my husband informed me my son had an extreme panic attack all while they told him to keep him in a leg and arm lock while the technician was holding his face. My son was physically shaking while laying there. After all that they called my son by a different name!! While i was waiting patiently trying not to loose it, i finally decided enough was enough and waited at the window to be let in to see my son one girl was sitting on her Instagram on her phone and the other sounded like she was having a personal phone call on the office line. We first visited here for a second opinion for my daughters cavity (we didn't like the first place we went) but once we walked in the kids fell in love with how the place is decorated, the game machine in the front room, and toys galore to keep them busy while I had to fill out the paper work. Then you go back to be greeted by the nicest people ever!!! The dentist is so patient with the kids and explains everything that is about to happen during a cleaning or any procedure and even shows them the instruments and how they "tickle" their teeth. We had to have a cavity filled but my daughter did awesome because she was able to pick her favorite DVD to watch and put headphones on to listen to it. When its time to leave they are given stickers and a choice to get a prize for a job well done! I love the staff I get phone call reminders, email reminders as well as text messages about our appointments. I love this place and so do my children!! read more
