I ordered online for delivery. 50 minutes after ordering I was notified by text that my order was cancelled. A minute after receiving this text, I was called up by the restaurant saying the order shouldn't have come through as they weren't accepting anymore delivery orders and closed their online ordering system just before and it was the online ordering companies issue. I thought this was strange as I had an email confirmation that they had accepted my order. Knowing they wouldn't complete my order a just hung up in frustration.
I then contacted the online ordering company to see if they could confirm what the restaurant had said. They had proof that the restaurant accepted my order and then cancelled it. They also confirmed that the restaurant never sent in a request to be taken offline for any more delivery orders. Therefore, the restaurant lied to get out of a delivery, likely because my order wasn't one of the largest and I assume a busy Saturday Night. read more
