Packed with fresh goodness

This place is a hopping place. I thought by 8 they wouldn't have a good selection left as they open at 4. I was wrong. This place is hopping with 4 workers moving people along but with patience and kind smiling faces. They also have anticipated those just for donut holes and have the bagged by the dozen and ready to go. A group of young people asked for 5 dozen and they were ready. Also this place has French Cruellers, very fresh and big. I saw a glimpse of their back and they had trays of donuts ready to re-stock. They have a really good variety, as well as an offering of bagels and coffee tea etc. Will be back.

Quality/Quantity - Custard Filled Maple Bar - My usual, always good. Not too sweet. Good proportions with custard and dough. My daughter got the following for herself... Dozen Donut Holes - Her 2nd favorite. Powdered Donut - Her favorite. Blueberry Glaze Cake - Her 3rd favorite. Strawberry Sprinkle - I do not think she enjoyed this one; I might have to eat it tomorrow... Atmosphere - Good size location, plenty of indoor seating. Mostly everyone took to-go. Plenty of mall parking. Open 6 days a week from 4am to 1pm, closed Sundays. Sadly I seemed to only come on Sundays or after 1pm. I keep forgetting when they close!! Service - Good, friendly and welcoming. Price - $10, reasonably priced for what we got. Maybe even considered inexpensive. $5 minimum for credit card charge, which was not a problem for us. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success for what seemed like forever!

Quick friendly service, fresh baked donuts. Newly remodeled. This location is located in a shopping center so easy free parking. I had a basic chocolate covered glazed donut and a cup of coffee. We also tried their French cruller and chocolate old fashion.

I wished the seller would put all donuts in flat box. It looked more presentable and the donuts aren't smashed together especially when the chocolate cover aren't dry enough. That's go my one star. The taste and the price are good. People are lined up for them since opening that already told you about this place. Ham and cheese per my coworker was good. Donuts are very airy and melt in your mouth. Try them out. I appreciated them opening hour since my work starts super early and literally they might be the one opens at the time.

Ming's donuts has been here ever since I could remember, a minimum to my recollection 40 years. But they've probably been here longer I'm sure. Today was my first time being here at 4:30 a.m. and they had a continuous line of people coming in. And for good reason, the donuts are great! Fresh and ready to go.

After dropping hubby off at the airport, I said "doughnut" into Google maps and here is where it took me. The shop is in the corner of an Asian strip mall off of Marina Blvd and open early. The area is quite industrial so they are catching the trucker crowd. Easy parking at 7am of course. The place looks quite new, clean and well stocked. As I am on the hunt for the best apple fritter, this is what I ordered along with a devils food and strawberry sprinkle doughnut for my neighbor kids. The fritter is huge but has very few apples. It's heavy and oily to me. A disappointment but it's okay. Price was right at $2.75 versus $3.50 in my area. I will always give a place and food a try because how else will I know to come back or pass? For me, so far a pass on the fritter. Maybe a cinnamon roll next time. That is another item that I'm a sucker for! Support the locals please.

My impetus for trying Ming's was based on two words I saw on Google Maps when I was looking for directions to Marina Park. The words? "Top rated". I'm not sure what algorithm Google uses other than their own review system. Don't really care unless it stated something like "Free Donuts". All I really knew was that it looked like a mom-&-pop business that I'd like to support and that a good donut was something I couldn't ignore before my anticipated walk. They keep what I call farmers' hours because they open at 4AM and close at 1PM. I was here toward the tail end of their schedule, so the display case was about 2/3 empty. Fortunately that really didn't compromise the quality of their product. I chose a couple of reliable donuts, an Old Fashioned and a Glazed Blueberry Cake (photo). Each were just $1.25, and each were satisfying. Now to walk off the calories. Oy! DONUTS - 4 stars...reliably satisfying and definitely not stale before closing AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...enough room to engorge here but I took my stash to the park SERVICE - 4.5 stars...quite friendly TOTAL - 4 stars..."Top rated" RELATED - Exploring San Leandro? Ask the Community - Ming's Donuts

This says they have delivery but I do not see that. Do they? Thanks

I don't think they have direct delivery, possibly on some delivery platform (door dash, Uber eats, etc)

Would love to know when they officially open? Ive been here twice within a 6 month period & they're always closed, with a open sign in the window & current business hours posted. It's confusing.

I know they close early if sold out and they're closed Sundays.

I knew this donut shop was here but had never been before. It was on my way back to the firegrounds, so I stopped in. The shop is not huge and there weren't a lot of donuts on display. I felt kind of bad that I was wiping out most of what was on display. I ordered one dozen each of four donuts, glazed, chocolate covered, and two others. I would have mixed in some crullers and old fashioned but there didn't appear to be any. Personally, my favorite is an Apple Fritter. None of those on display either. The woman who helped me was very friendly and gave me some donut holes on the house. I gave those to a Deputy Sheriff who was working the outer perimeter of the incident. As to how the donuts tasted, I don't know. Some of us need to watch our sugar consumption. I heard no complaints so I'm guessing everything was okay. I apologize for the lack of photos. As soon as I got back to the scene, coffee was poured and donuts consumed!

You can tell the kitchen actually cares about ingredients and presentation. Every plate that came out looked amazing and somehow tasted even better. The cocktails were also excellent and paired perfectly with the food. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I've had in the East Bay this year. Already planning my next visit. I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

=== Incredible coffee and food. Great vibes ===…read more First, awesome experience. Second, I hate that I keep finding these experiences an HOUR away from where I live. Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)
