I recently purchased a 50 ml Eucerin Sun Oil Control Gel-Cream SPF 50+ from Minerva Apotheke and was charged €24.25.
I was very disappointed to later discover that the same 50 ml product is widely available online for around €15. I fully understand that prices in a physical pharmacy can be higher than online prices, but a difference of this extent is difficult to understand and, in my view, deserves an explanation.
More importantly, I was not provided with an itemized sales receipt showing the product purchased and the price charged. At the time of purchase, I trusted the pharmacy and therefore did not examine the receipt carefully. Only later did I realize that I had been given merely the card-payment terminal receipt confirming the total amount paid, with no product name, price breakdown, or other purchase details.
For a pharmacy, where customers naturally expect transparency and trust, I find this particularly disappointing. I would therefore appreciate a clear explanation from Minerva Apotheke regarding why €24.25 was charged for this 50 ml product and why an itemized receipt was not provided at the time of purchase. read more
