This memorial is actually quite out of the way, and a bit of a walk. In fact, I only discovered it because I was wandering through this part of Bendigo. It is located at the edge of a paddock, which is actually a park, and I suspect it is located near one of the old gold mines. Anyway, this memorial was set up for the widows of the miners, and I feel that it is a great tribute to some of the forgotten people of the gold mining era. It is a shame though that it is so far away. read more
